Who would have thought that pastel shadows would escape from Barbara Cartland's makeup bag and make it over to the NARS counter where they got a makeover and morphed into wearable shades of pinks and blues. Nymphea is a pink shade - not a chalky pink but a clean baby pink with a slight shimmer

Scrubs -Philosophy - The Gingerbread Man (scrub)

One word of warning - don't use this on dry skin!!!!! I think its too harsh for that. I tried it on damp skin the second time I used it and the oils in the scrub warm up and it makes it a lot more gentle - it also sticks together more easily so it doesn't fall off your body into the tub! The smell is a warm lemony, slightly gingery scent and it is delicious. The texture however, is the best - it looks exactly like gingerbread mix - yummy yummy! Three cheers to my boyfriend who saw this in Sephora and bought it for me to try!

I like this product - its reasonably priced and you can see how much is left and when you need to buy more. The texture seems a little sticky but it actually doesn't make hair sticky! I apply this, then roughly blow dry and then straighten. My only complaints is that it doesn't look too hot on the bathroom shelf next to my Chanel makeup and my Aveda shampoos!!!!!!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Artjam Paint

I wanted to find a product similar to Lancome's Colour Dose but with a wider range of colours - and I found it with MAC Paints. I can't find anything that says they are waterproof but I've been running my finger under the tap and so far it isn't budging!! The colour is beautiful and makes my green eyes really stand out. I use this with Teddy Kohl under the lashes and bags of black mascara to complete the look

Shampoo -Thermasilk - Heat Activated Moisturizing Shampoo

I first tried this product a few years ago - its not available in the UK unfortunately. Recently a great MUAer sent me some and I still love it as much as I did the first time! I straighten my hair every day and my boyfriend's sister commented at how shiny and healthy my hair looked - now I just need to find someone to send me regular bottles!!!!

Eye Shadow -Lancome - Color Dose - Waterproof Cream Eye Colour

I bought this in the UK shade - BRUN HAVANA which is a grey/brown colour with shimmer. I've yet to test the waterproofness but so far, I love it, easy to blend, creamy and comfortable and a very quick and simple way to have great eyes!!! I got this especially for my holiday and I can't wait to test it in the water!!!

Bronzers -Sephora - all over skin 05

This is a very affordable alternative to the Lancome Starbronzer. They are almost exactly the same - I'd say that the Sephora one is a bit more shimmery but it is a very subtle shimmer. I love this and use it for my decolletage

This is the sixth glossimer I have tried and its one of those colours that look really full on in the tube but when it comes to applying, it looks beautiful - a shimmery pinky gold - I'm so glad I swapped for it!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Apres Beach

I am not a fan of the cardboard packaging but this is a great trio. My friend thinks it is similar to NARS Mediterranee but suitable for all colourings. I think its wearable for the day and can be dressed up for the evenings. I did find it quite difficult to get to grips with though and had to have a bit of a play before setting out the front door. A good investment though!!!

I use the satin one as I like the finish in the summer (tiny tiny shimmers). It is excellent, easy to apply, cheap and lasts ages!

This is a cheap and effective remedy for sore lips. My only problem is that its a bit slippery and doesn't feel like a real emolient but other than that, the scent is cocoa buttery and delicious and last ages!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Lash Architect Mascara Waterproof Formula

I bought this in France so it was dirt cheap and aside from the packaging being a little bit cheap looking (blue plastic), its a great quality mascara - right up there with the Lancome's and the Kiss Me's of this world!!! It also holds its curl which is great!

This is one of my favourite JT's. I have owned 11 now and Lychee was a hard one to top but this is so close. Its a pale pinkish with shimmer and glitter. I get lots of comments when I wear it with a lick of mascara and my NARS Orgasm blush and nothing else.

I can't make up my mind about this one (called MARSHMALLOW in Europe). When I don't have a tan, it looks too strong and my teeth look yellowy. When I'm tanned, it looks fabulous and exotic. I love the flavour and the punchy pink colour is very sheer without shimmer but it almost has a blueish tinge to it sometimes. Worth a look at least!
