Polishes -Rimmel - 60 Seconds in Green with Envy
rated 4 of 5

Slightly more watery than the other 60 second polishes I own and for some odd reason this is the only one I own with the awful skinny brush. Its just awful. Having said that the colour is pretty and I only paid 89 pence for it, I found I need four coats for full opaqueness. I have worn it a few times now and always get compliments when I do wear it so its a keeper, just wish they would change the awful brush.

I have the 60 seconds one. This shade is so unlike any other green I own, I love it, Its perfect for christmas manis too. Opaque in one coat but I always apply two. The wide brush speeds up the application process. Perfect.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Lip Care - Rose
rated 4 of 5

Bought in Poundland for £1, the pink colour grabbed my attention, I have the newer style packaging not to keen on the wide diametreof the bullet as it covers my lip and also some of my face but it feels nice to hold, it looks pretty in my handbag too the actual balm itself is nothing to write home about, I like the slight scent this has and it makes my lips feel gorgeous but if you are expecting any kind of colour I would pass on this, if I apply three layers I get a hint of shimmer which makes my lips look healthy. Probably would repurchase as it does a good job as a balm.

Lipstick -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy l/s

I have had this in Rose Bloom for quite a while, and picked up chocolate cherry and plum rose today. I paid £1 each from Poundworld. I love how there is a bit of the actual lipstick in the clear part of the bottom of the tube so you can see the exact shade. Ive not seen this on any other lipstick. I am in love with all three, but plum rose looks as if it was made especially for me, they feel silky and highly moisturising and are pretty long wearing and leave a lovely cast behind on the lip. i shall be visiting Poundland regulary in the hope of finding more shades.

Blush -Unlisted Brand - 2True Cheek 'n' Lip Tint
rated 5 of 5
loopymonkey 10/22/2012 5:20:00 PM

I got the free Benetint with the current issue of Instyle magazine and I loved it so much I wanted to purchase the full size but its out of my league, I read about the 2true product and picked one up today, Its extremley similar but the cheap version runs off my bottom lip wheres benatint stays on, its not a big prob as I use a cotton bud to get rid of excess, the cheaper version appears more visible on my lips and lasts longer so I prefer the £1.99 more. i also have the Blush pink version which I believe is dupe for posie tint. Since i have never seen that product I cant comment but I dont like it. The texture is like a paste and the brush is awful which makes applying it difficult, it also does not last long on the lips and has a cheap nasty smell about it. I'll prob use it up and not repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Superdrug - MUA Lip Gloss Tube in Shade 4
rated 5 of 5

I got this for free as part of their current promotion but they usually only cost £1. I agree with the reviewer below me - its a great nude despite looking orangy in the tube. One of the longer wearing glosses I own, well worth £1 and I plan to pick up more when they are in stock.

A gorgeous tarty barbie pink, I bought this for £3 to do some Breast Cancer Awareness Manicures with. It applies well and I only need two coats but God knows why it keeps chipping on me after a few hours and I'm by no means rough with my nails.I have been unable to wear this for any lengh of time as I end up removing it when a chip appears. I'll keep on trying to find a way to make it work though.

Polishes -Essie - Case Study

A gorgeous Camel colour, I paid £3 for this and I would def repurchase in the unlikely event I used up a full bottle. Two coats was all I needed, easy to apply, no streaks, and it dried quickly. Perfect..

Polishes -Essie - Muchi Muchi

I usually love Essie polishes and this one looked so promising in the bottle, sadly it a nightmare to apply, very watery and after five coats it was still very sheer and streaky, drying time was horrendous also. I have tried it again several times and get the same results, I cant bring myself to bin as its such a pretty colour. I only paid £3 for this, I'd be angry if Id paid full retail price.

Polishes -Sinful - Aqua
rated 2 of 5

Purchased two weeks ago for £2. Applied easily and was opaque in two coats, a third would have been better as nail line was still visible when held up to light but nothing to bad, I applied two thin coats over the top of Essies Fill The Gap Base Coat and finished off with a Coat of Sally Hansens Mega Shine top coat, I applied at 5pm and went to bed after midnight with perfect nails, on waking the next morning hardly any polish was left on my nails! it had all smudged off onto my bedding. Im going to assume they were not dry after several hours, which is a joke or maybe I have a bad bottle? I dunno but I would not repurchase this particular color which is a shame as its unique and very pretty,

Polishes -Maybelline - Forever Strong
rated 5 of 5

I purchased this in Nude Rose for £1 in my local Factory Shop. I swatched a lot of neutral pinks for my wedding day on 1st oct and I ended up choosing this one, it applied easily and evenly and had a lovely shiney finish. One coat was opaque but I always apply two, I only removed this polish today (four days later) and it was still in excellent condition, in fact it still looked newly applied. This is the longest I have worn the same colour for as I usually change on a daily basis. I will be certain to check out other shades in the range.

Top/Base Coats -Essie - fill the gap! ridge filling base coat
rated 5 of 5
loopymonkey 9/23/2012 5:47:00 PM

I purchased this along with essie's instant dry oil protector as The factory shop is currently running two for £5 promotion on Essie products. I have several different basecoats and since purchasing this its the only one I use, Im going to pick up another as there I have already used a significant amount of product. I cant say anything about it helping your polish last longer as I change mine everyday but I will say that it smooths out my nails giving me a flat surface to apply the polish and also, it is dry before I have finished applying to one hand.

Polishes -Essie - Carry On
rated 4 of 5
loopymonkey 9/23/2012 5:40:00 PM

I found this difficult to apply, its a thin brush and a thin formula, I need three coats, two would have done but brush strokes were visible. This is the only Essie polish that Ive not been happy with and I have about 5/6. I wouldnt repurchase this colour again because I like my polish application to be as simple as possible, but I do like the colour and will continue to use this.

Polishes -Essie - To Buy or Not to Buy
rated 4 of 5
loopymonkey 9/15/2012 1:58:00 AM

Sucker that I am I purchased this after picking it up and putting it back, I looked at the shade name and could not resist, I paid £3 which I believe is a good price, i'm not sure though as this is my only bottle of Essie. I love the colour in the bottle but I have trouble getting the shimmer/glitter to show on my nails, never mind though as its a great colour still.

Polishes -Essie - Navigate Her
rated 5 of 5
loopymonkey 9/15/2012 1:54:00 AM

Purchased for £2 in Factory Shop. This is my second Essie polish and I love it just as much as the first one, I am very very pleased with the price I paid too. They had a load of these in and I planned to pick them all up over time but sadly this was the last one left. Its a lovely pastel green shade and it caught my eye as I dont own anything like this colour, love the square bottle and apllication is oerfect after two coats. I'll be keeping my eyes open for more bargains like this.
