OMG, how I love these little gems. They are like .99 cents at Walgreen's and are exactly like Stila's lip glazes. The click up pen dispenses the perfect amount of product. The formula is perfect - it isn't too thick, goopy or sticky. They smell like their names. I have them in Pink Grapefruit (my fave - a pretty light pink), Banana Cream (perfect nude), Vanilla Bean, Sugar Cookie, Watermelon and Candy (this one is too "glittery" for me). Everyone should try these! ETA: only get these in the natural glazes, not the shimmer glazes. The shimmer glazes are way too glittery unless you are a teen.
These NYX e/s singles are awesome. I bought like 11 of them online at cherryculture. You get a ton of product for the money and the color payoff is excellent. Beanie is a very pretty taupe color w/a silverish shimmer. I was looking for a dupe of the d/c MAC Coco pigment. It's not exact, but it's close. Looks amazing on my green eyes. I would highly recommend these.
I agree with the previous reviewer. I get a soft black line from this, but you do see the deep red shimmer when the light catches it. Nice creamy formula that is easily blendable. This was my first purchase from Mad Minerals, but probably not my last.
Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Bent Eyeliner Brush

At first I wondered if I would be able to get the hang of using this (looks so awkward), but the brush angles perfectly. Draws a fine or thicker line depending on how much pressure is applied. I love SK brushes - you can't beat what you get for the money. Highly recommend.
Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Yogurt
lanae87 3/5/2008 9:44:00 AM
These are awesome are dirt cheap! I picked up 4 of these in different colors. Yogurt is a pale pink - great for highlighting and for inner corners of the eyes. The lighter ones (this and especially Milk) are great as eyeshadow bases too. I think they are fab and would definitely buy again!
I wish I loved this like the other reviewers. I normally love sweet vanilla scents, but all I get is an artificial smelling vanilla with a "burnt" note. I wish this didn't have staying power but it's holding strong on my wrists after washing them with soap and warm water hours ago, lol. I ordered this in the smallest perfume oil, so I'm only out $7. The retro packaging is gorgeous. Maybe it's my chemistry or whatever, but this doesn't work for me at all.
Lotions/ Creams -Jaqua Girls - Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Creme
lanae87 3/3/2008 8:16:00 PM
I'm a big fan of the original Buttercream body butter, and after spying a purse-sized tube of this at Ulta, I couldn't resist trying this. It smells decadent - like ooey gooey frosting melting on a warm cupcake! It makes my hands soft and in the harsh Cleveland winters, that is no small feat. I apply this and it instantly puts me in a good mood. This stuff is like a hug in a tube! Love it.
After 1,858 reviews, I'm not sure how much more I can add to the hype, LOL. It's truly a great product - tried and tested obviously with a huge cult following. I got a big ol tub of this at Sally's - 12 ounces for $4.99. I have used this weekly for about a month now. I have uber-sensitive skin, and this doesn't irritate my skin at all. I like the tingling sensation as the mask dries. After rinsing (I leave it on a good 10 minutes) my face feels so fresh and soft, and my somewhat enlarged pores look suprisingly smaller. I am probably the last person on the planet to try this, LOL, but if anyone is on the fence, I would recommend you give it a try!
Blush -Milani - Powder Blush - Pink Craze [DISCONTINUED]
lanae87 1/31/2008 8:21:00 AM
Soooo mad at Milani for d/c my favorite blush! I'm not much of a blush girl, but I'm so pale that I need a little color, and this is just perfect. It's a soft, pale pink that warms up my cheeks without looking obvious that I'm wearing blush. FYI, Milani blushes are STILL available at Best Beauty online. I have stocked up until I find a close replacement.
Not bad at all, and I'm a mascara freak that has to try them all. I like the brush - not too small, not too big. The formula does a great job of lengthening and separating, without clumping or causing spider lashes. I do wish it volumized a bit more. It also doesn't flake off or smudge, and removes easily with soap and warm water. Diorshow is superior to this, but for the money, this is a pretty decent drugstore mascara.
Treatments -Aphogee - Intensive Keratin Reconstructor
lanae87 1/31/2008 8:11:00 AM
A pretty good protein treatment. Not nearly as intensive as the original Aphogee treatment, but still excellent for repairing and maintaining healthy hair. Has a pleasant coconut smell. I leave this on for about 5 minutes after shampooing while I shave. It reconstructs and softens in one step, but I usually use a deep conditioner afterwards. Good stuff - would rebuy.
The mac daddy of all protein treatments. Best stuff on the planet for repairing damaged hair and preventing breakage for up to 6 weeks. Smells terrible and kind of a PITA to use, but if your hair is fried this is your lifesaver. I discovered it in 2002 when I had a Rusk Anti-Curl disaster and my hair was spongey and breaking off from the chemical damage. Make sure you deep condition afterwards. Amazing product I still use to this day when my hair starts to show signs of abuse from coloring, blow drying and flat ironing. Highly recommend.
This is one of the best pale pinks that I have ever tried. Not too pale as it doesn't wash me out. Looks great with dramatic eye makeup. So pretty - wish it was a permanent addition of the MAC lineup and not a LE. Stock up - I bought 2.
This little gadget is amazing. It is oval in shape, and the bottom resembles a cheese grater. It removes dry, callused skin from the bottoms of your feet without knicking or cutting, and the fine powder shavings are collected in the bottom of the Ped Egg for easy disposal. Afterwards, you use the foot file which you affix to the bottom of the Ped Egg to smooth. I have a pretty moisturizing foot cream (Dr. Scholl's Overnight something). I slather that on after using my Ped Egg, and put a pair of socks on before bed. In the morning, my feet are so soft and smooth, just like I came back from a pedicure. I think I paid $10 for this. It's now available at various retail locations, like Bed Bath & Beyond and Sally Beauty Supply. A must for the upcoming sandal season. Get this - you will not be disappointed.
Gels/Soaps -Olay - Winter Retreat Vanilla Indulgence Body Wash
lanae87 1/8/2008 7:20:00 AM
Oh how I love this stuff. Winter causes havoc on my skin and makes it dry and itchy and flakey. This bodywash is so creamy and moisturizing yet rinses clean and leaves my skin really soft. I love the soft vanilla smell. Since this is LE, I will have to stock up b/c I'd like to use this year-round.
