i loved this moisturizer. i have used it for over a year and it is fantastic. i love the smell especially. recently, my eyes would start to burn soon after i got on the bus. i thought that it was my allergies or maybe my contacts, but i soon realized that it was this moisturizer. i now have this up on my swap items if anyone would like to try it. i will miss this moisturizer, but i suppose that it is just not for me.if anyone has suggestions on what moisturizer i should try next, please leave me a note.
Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Multi-Colored Corrector- GREEN
lady_astrid2001 3/16/2006 4:19:00 PM
i have always had rosy cheeks, but sometimes the are just too much. i had heard rave reviews about physicians formula and thought, why not, if it works? WRONG. this stuff is horrible. it turns me green without taking away the red. i looked like a traffic light, minus the yellow. the only thing that i like about this is the packaging, which i think would be really functional for something other than this particular powder. i did manage to use the powder somewhat effectively (although some redness still peaked through, and all of the powder was gone in an hour): i put the powder on after my moisturizer and before my foundation. my foundation helps to tone down the green. all in all, i will not be buying this product again. i may try the liquid formulas, but green powder is horrible!
let me just say that i was drawn to this product by the suer-cute package. i love purple, and this comes in a super cute purple tube. i did not like the fact that it comes with a little lid that you have to screw off before you can even put the applicator in (i know it sounds weird, just look at how it's packaged and you'll understand). it wasted plastic. i liked the idea of the brush, it stayed on all day,and it made my lashes longer and fuller. i like the mascara pretty well overall. but it did have bad points. it clumped ALOT on me (the only thing that it was guaranteed to NOT do), and when i used my eyelash comb all the mascara came off and got stuck under my eye. it looks a little flaky, which is prolly attributed to the clumpiness. and it was a pain in my rear end to take off. i use almay non oily makeup removing pads, and they had hardly any affect whatsoever on this mascara. it isn't waterproof, however, and it runs if you get water on your eyes (i have no clue as to why it wouldn't come off with makeup remover when it runs like this). it does a nice job though. i put on two coats, then use my eyelash comb, then out on another coat, and it lasts all day.
Lip Gloss -mark - glow baby glow luxe in orchid luxe
lady_astrid2001 1/17/2006 8:36:00 PM
i had really wanted this lip gloss for a long time. i was utterly disappointed when i got it for christmas. i loved the color, the sparkle, but not the smell. mine smelled like gasoline rather than mints. it was horrible.i've tried to wear it anyway, to see if the smell would go away after a few mintues, but it still smells (and tastes HORRIBLE!). i would like to repurchase or swap for this, because i think that i just received a bad vial.
this is my favorite mascara! i've been using it for about 2 years, and it has never clumped. i wasn't bothered by the smell like some people were. i think the price is pretty reasonable (a little high for drugstore, but that's neutrogena for you). i wish it had a little prettier packaging, but it's actually very pretty compared to some other mascaras. i have contacts and sensitive skin, and this does not bother me at all. i love it because i can put one one coat to look natural, 2 coats to look pretty and 3+ coats to look sexy and it doesn't feel like i have any mascara on at all! this is my most favorite mascara so far (i have about 10 mascaras right now, and this is the one i use the most-about everyday)
i tried this shadow from one of UD lighter palette -thingys. i really liked this shadow. i'm a PPP with light green eyes and pink undertones, and i think that this works really well with my complexion. i would buy this product (as in just the shadow) if/when i have the chance. i'd really like to obtain it in a swap (hint hint). *note* i'm rating the packaging a 3 simply because i got it in the lighter thing, so i dont know how good the actual package is. the lighter thing was awesome.
i really like this gloss, just because of the smell. i like the color also, but the smell was a big thing for me.some of my friends don't like the smell though, so i guess it depends on the person, but how someone could not like the smell of honey is beyond me.i'm writing the review in this one, but i'm not sure if this is the color i have, mine is a peachy pink.i'm pretty sure that it is in honey kiss (the color).i love this color and i like the texture.it works especially well in the winter if you have dry lips because honey is so moisturizing.one thing i do not like is the packaging, i like it and at the same time it could be better. mine kinda leaks (just a little) from extensive use, i wish that these were in a squeeze-tube or a click-pen instead.i think that mark. is coming out with something similar in click pen, they already have kiss therapy (which smells and feels similar) in a pot.
i haven't tried this on my body, but i have used it on my hands and feet and it was amazing.it has honey in it so it's really mosturizing, and it smells sweet and delicious.they also need to make a hair mask with this stuff, since honey is really good for softening your hair (you have to wash it out of course).will buy again if it's on sale again, i got the full-size on sale for $10 ,it's normally $28.
i really liked this lotion.they had it in the bathroom at cracker barrel and i decided that i had to have it.i put it on my hands and feet at bedtime (at $10 a bottle i use this sparingly).i would not use this on really really dry skin just because it has mineral oil in it and i heard that mineral oil is bad for dry skin, but if i'm wrong, please mail me because i'm not sure.
i thought it was weird just using a bar of soap on my hair. i had to wash my hair twice with this before it really lathered.the ends of my hair were fine, but the roots felt, to me, oily and nasty.but my mom said that my hair felt really really soft.and after i styled my hair in a twist, it really held the style and i did not get frizzies.the next day i just used regular shampoo and my hair looked wonderful.it had really gotten rid of the build-up.*note* i did use conditioner when i used this product.i also noticed that i had alot of tangles before i used the conditioner.i had to use ALOT of conditioner, too.this product should only be use on a day where you just sit around the house and be lazy, or 2 days before a special event(so your hair will look nice)
Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Wild Lettuce Complexion Soap
lady_astrid2001 6/27/2005 4:03:00 PM
this stuff works great but smells awful.my boyfriend was like, "you smell like lettuce".but i had also used the toner too, so maybe that was it.otherwise i really liked it and my skin looked great.i'm just hoping that i wont break out if i use anything else after using this.
At first, I thought I was getting a good deal.It was fairly cheap for a self-tanner.It was expensive for what it was. The first day, it was fine. The next day, after I put on some more, it looked funny.I thought I had done something wrong. So I exfoliated, then mosturized and put on more. Then it turned streaky, and my ankles and wrists (knuckles, etc) looked filthy. It was nasty.I was ashamed to go out in public. Its been 2 days since then, and it's only faded a little. This is the worst self-tanner I've ever bought, the foam works much better.
