Shampoo -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - Basil Mint Shampoo
krllama 9/27/2006
I have dry curly hair so this shampoo is not for regular use on my hair. It is fabulous though for a deep cleanse once a week to get rid of all the silicones and other ickies weighing down my hair. I shampoo twice and my hair feels so clean. I do need to follow with a good conditioner however or frizzies are sure to ensue. My boyfriend also uses this. He gets dandruff and I just added some more peppermint oil and a couple of drops of tea tree oil and it keeps the flakes at bay. Very good product.

Hair -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - glisten weightless spray shine
krllama 9/26/2006 11:57:00 PM
This spray is good for adding shine when I have straightened my hair. I spray some on the mid lengths of my hair a little at a time and comb through. Doing it instages is best because one squirt too much and your hair can get very greasy. On the down side: the smell is horrendous and the nozzle gets blocked. I think I'll try another shine product next time, though I do love the fact that it is organic.

Conditioner -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - mixed greens conditioner

This conditioner (and matching shampoo) are good when your hair is feeling a bit down, but prolonged use left my thick curly hair weighed down and dirty looking. I will not repurchase. Oh yeah, the bottle is a pain...ht eproduct just wont come out without screwing the cap off.

Conditioner -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - Leave-in conditioner
krllama 9/26/2006 11:49:00 PM
This stuff is my summer lifesaver. I have thick, frizzy, curly hair and when it's hot and humid it doubles in size. The leave-in conditioner is a great way to control the frizz and not weigh it down. I dont like styling products in general and when I use this and when my hair dries it is soft and touchable, without the dreaded frizz. It is also goo form mixing with other styling products to take the edge off the crunchy feeling you get from many of them. As this is not a smoothing serum, salon locks are not the result, but clean, fresh natural looking hair is. My boyfriend also loves this when his hair is boofy. He has patches of dermatitis on his scalp and cannot use styling products so this helps. I highly recommend this product.

Shampoo -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - Mixed Greens Shampoo
krllama 9/26/2006 11:42:00 PM
MOP do make some wonderful products, but this is not one of them. I have been using the Mixed Greens shampoo and conditioner and have found that they weigh down my thick curly hair. I looks dirty after one day when normally I can go 3 or 4 days between washes. The packing is useless - too hard to squeeze out product when nearing the end of the bottle. On the plus side - it smells nice, quality organic products are used and its good for a refresher between using other shampoos. I will not repurchase however.

Foundations -Chanel - Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make-Up ] [DISCONTINUED]

This stuff is amazing. I have been using Chanel foundations for a few years now, sticking with the gorgeous Vitalumiere range. I wanted to try something a bit different for more formal makeup and I invested in this when it came out. I have dry/sensitive skin and found that if you moisturise well and let it absorb fully you get a soft, semi matte finish. The formaula lets you build the coverage where you need it more. You need to be careful that all moisturiser is absorbed as it can streak. On the other hand, if you skin is very dry it can highlight dry patches. I use ModelCo primer with it and it gives me a china doll complexion, smooth, soft and even. I highly recommend this product. I use No.20 Clair for my NC20-25 skin.

Moisturizers -Chanel - Hydramax + Moisture Boost Cream [DISCONTINUED]
krllama 9/21/2006 2:37:00 AM
I really liked this moisturiser at first. It was refreshing and not heavy and had a lovely cooling effect, great for summer. However I was soon to discover after a week or so that it is not very moisturising and strangely it led to numerous pimple breakouts. I say this is stragne because I have dry/sensitive skin that is not at all acne prone. At least this isnt as bad as the cleanser in the same range...ick..dont go there. I think Chanel are a bit of a lost cause when it comes to skincare. Unlike their fabulous foundations they just cant get the skincare right.

Toners -Chanel - Activateur Hydratation- Gentle Hydrating Lotion Toner
krllama 9/21/2006 2:32:00 AM
Nice refreshing toner...shame about the Cleanser and moisturiser in the smae line. This lotion gentle tones with no stings. It is cooling and prepares skin well for moisturiser. I will not repurchase however as it is too pricey for average performance and I have been totally put off Chanel skincare courtesy of their zit inducing powers.

Treatments -Biotherm - Source Therapie
krllama 4/9/2006 2:54:00 AM
This is my Number 1 HG product!! I have dry skin which tends to be quite bumpy with enlarged pores. I've tried the entire Biotherm range for dry skin, which was nice, but after trying this, no other skincare product compares. It completely smoothed my skin, reduced the size of my pores and gave it I glow I never thought I would see. I now have that baby soft skin I have always envied in others. It is pricey, but soooooo fantastic.
