I *heart* Urban Decay eyeshadows . . . and this is my favorite. No joke - best in the whole line, at least for green eyes. If you have green eyes - PLEASE buy this. On my fair skin it comes out as a quite reddish brown (emphasis on the red), and I don't see too much of the green shimmer unless I apply heavily. I use it as a liner as well, always brushing a little under my eyes as well as on my lids and crease. I don't like to have to mess with several shadows, and as long I blend a bit with this one (and use UDPP, of course), I find that I don't need anything other than this and my mascara. I get compliments every single time I wear it. Besides the gorgeous color, it's very smooth when applying, and I don't get any creasing as long as I use UDPP (and I have fairly oily lids). I know that UD packaging isn't the fanciest, but I've had this for several months and experienced no breakage. So pluses all around! I will keep on buying this until they stop making it or until I turn 50 (green shimmer probably not being too classy at that age), whichever comes first!

Liquid -NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation
rated 2 of 5

I've been on a quest for a good liquid foundation for winter (powder - and specifically Jane Iredale PurePressed Base - will most likely always be my go-to for summer), and was very excited to try Sheer Glow after reading all of the stellar reviews! It does look good for a couple of hours, but I am sorry to report that this separates on my skin (I think that describes it accurately - it looks like it settles into my pores and also accentuates any dryness) a couple of hours after application no matter how heavily I moisturize or how much primer I layer underneath. I have a slightly oily t-zone that certainly benefited nothing from this, but I am accustomed to that problem and wouldn't have held that against this foundation if it could just look nice on the rest of my face. I don't really need too much coverage, but I do have some visible pores that this did nothing to conceal. I'm disappointed to have to be a dissenting voice on this one, though - it seems to work so wonderfully for many.

Eye Shadow -LORAC - Green Room
rated 2 of 5

Oh, WHEN will I learn!?!? This color as a swatch is possibly the most beautiful shimmery teal-green I have ever seen. EVER. And if I could have a cashmere sweater this color, I’d be in heaven. But unfortunately, it completely overpowers rather than bringing out my medium-light green eyes. I also would never be brave enough to layer this on thickly enough to really show off the color. Of course, this could be a great shadow for a hazel or brown-eyed gal *but*, as I’ve found with each LORAC e/s I’ve tried, rather than a velvety texture that makes for smooth application, these shadows (LORAC in general and Green Room included) seem somewhat chalky. Plenty of skipping, and difficult to blend. That being said - someone who is brave enough to go for a stage make-up look could probably have a lot fun with this color. But I personally thank the Lord for Ulta’s return policy!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Gunmetal

So this was my first foray into the world of gray . . . and the color was SO beautiful when I swatched at Ulta that I just had to give it a try. Unfortunately, it does absolutely nothing what-so-ever for my blue-green eyes. That being said, I might have considered keeping it just because I do enjoy a large color selection - you know, in case this color could complement this specific outfit, or work for me during the summer, or during full moons that fall on Wednesdays or something - but the glitter nixed that idea. That stuff, while not as bad as some UD e/s, was still all over my face a couple of hours after application - even with a light hand and over UDPP. No, no, no. Going back!
