Lip Gloss -Almay - Whipped Gloss - Nude Reflection

LOVE this! Was initially afraid of the brown looking color, but it goes on my very pink, medium pink lips a nice, warm salmon pink -- nothing at all like in the tube. Shimmer is very subtle and sophisticated. Love the smell and the brush applicator, which doesn't splay. Have repurchased in other colors.

Moisturizers -Bliss Labs - fully loaded moisture lotion
rated 5 of 5

Pleasantly surprised by this. I have normal-dry sensitive skin, so I didn't know if I should be using Quiet Type, Fully Loaded, or Middleweight (my skin is the same all year round, too). Tried the Middleweight first and wasn't impressed. Didn't have high hopes for the Fully Loaded, but I really, really like this! Really cuts the flakes and provides a great base for my foundation (Chantecaille Real Skin SPF15). I notice a lot of moisturizers look like they're eliminating flakes, then they suddenly "reappear" when you apply base (and I always use the same one). This does not irritate my skin, even though it's not fragrance-free (I love the smell), and it's not that badly priced when compared to a lot of things in the Bliss catalog. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I think that I like Lauder's Hydracomplete slightly more than this. (Haven't tried the Quiet Type sample yet). UPDATE: Had to upgrade this from 4 to 5. Still works, fragrance is still not irritating my skin, and other products haven't tempted me, which must be a good sign! Bought this on Ebay for only $20 (as opposed to $43, including tax, full price) and definitely think it's worth it!

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Tea Tree line
rated 5 of 5

Love this shampoo! Received it as a gift and wasn't expecting much. The smell is great, especially for wake-up morning showers or after a muggy day in the city. It lathers well and cleanses thoroughly without being stripping (at least for my not-colored treated, normal hair). I love the minty, invigorating smell. I save this for three times a week, max, so I can't comment on if it dries hair out long term. Definitely would repurchase!

Treatments -Clarins - Santal Face Treatment oil
rated 5 of 5
kimm 3/13/2004 3:18:00 PM

Wow! This product is fabulous. I have skin that is 99% clear (I get about two zits a year), but it takes three prescription products to get it that way. Consequently, my face is clear year round, but very irritated, dry, and red (the only other thing I use in my skincare routine is Cetaphil cleanser day & night and the RX products before bed). From reading the previous reviews, I decided to give this a try. It totally smooths out your skin and eliminates the redness. It has left my skin silky smooth. I was skeptical that an oil would help and was concerned that it would just break me out. Au contraire. I also had concerns that since Clarins products are highly fragranced, they wouldn't be good for my dry & sensitive skin. That wasn't the case at all. I've had supposedly "allergy-tested, fragrance-free" problems cause much more problems than this. Highly recommended!

Conditioner -Kenra - Moisturizing Conditioner
rated 4 of 5
kimm 3/11/2004 9:16:00 PM

Really like this conditioner! It works very well on my dry hair (that is neither colored nor chemically treated). It smells so much better in the shower than it does in the bottle for some reason. A little goes a long way, too. Prefer this MUCH more than the over-hyped (IMHO) TIGI Oatmeal & Honey and definitely more than Redken All Soft.

Other -Tom's of Maine - Gingermint & Cinnamon Toothpaste
rated 5 of 5
kimm 10/12/2003 10:29:00 PM

I love this toothpaste. I tried it because I constantly got irritation bumps around my mouth and was wondering if it could be due to my toothpaste. Also, I read how other companies tested on animals and TOM doesn't. I didn't have a problem converting from conventional toothpastes to this one.

Toners -Nivea - Alcohol-Free Moisturizing Toner [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
kimm 10/12/2003 10:04:00 PM

This toner is great! I don't need a toner after I cleanse, so I use this one to cleanse after I work out. It is not drying at all. When I saw that it was alcohol-free on the bottle's front, I checked the ingredient list and expected to see camphor, menthol, witch hazel, etc. None of that. This toner is great for cleaning up after a work out. Very gentle. Reminds me a lot of Tonique Douceur from Lancome, but this one is much cheaper!

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Intense Blends Shampoo-Normal Hair
rated 5 of 5
kimm 10/12/2003 9:56:00 PM

LOVE this shampoo! I have used and loved all of the Herbal Essences line (regular floral, Fruit Fusions, and now the Intensive Blends) for *Normal* Hair (the exact kind of hair I have). I wait for a sale and use a coupon and this $2 bottle of shampoo lasts forever.

Treatments (Eye) -Lancome - Absolue Eye
rated 2 of 5
kimm 8/20/2003 10:37:00 PM

This product is a total waste of money. It's supposed to be super moisturizing, but I found it highly run of the mill, with a too-high price tag. It doesn't moisturize any better than any of the cheap-o drugstore eye creams I've used. It doesn't work for day, either, because it balls up my eye make up (just Dior Hydrating Concealer). I noticed that another reviewer said the same, so it's not just me.

Treatments (Eye) -Almay - Kinetin Rejuvenating Eye Treatment
rated 2 of 5

Highly average eye lotion. I, however, LOVE the Firming & Brightening Eye Cream in the jar (this is in a tube). This would probably be better suited for oilier skins.

Eye Makeup Remover -Maybelline - Expert Eyes 100% Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
rated 5 of 5
kimm 12/20/2002 8:50:00 PM

I am thoroughly impressed! Loved Bifacil, but couldn't stand the price for EYE MAKEUP REMOVER, when everything else I use from mascara to moisturizer is low end. Bought this on a lark, and it doesn't sting, thoroughly removes everything, and is all around great. I've tried both high and low end eye MU removers, and this one is the best. No complaints!

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Liquid Lipslicks
rated 5 of 5
kimm 12/20/2002 8:47:00 PM

I bought the sheer wave blue color and love it. It leaves a v. slight pink tone (friends/family all thought it was clear). Love the vanilla/cake batter smell, and I don't usually like food scents. Leaves a high-shine finish.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - So Ingenious Liquid Foundation SPF 8
rated 5 of 5
kimm 12/20/2002 8:44:00 PM

Love this foundation! Foundation is probably light to medium, more than I like, so I mix it with water to thin it out. I have normal or normal dry skin with no visible pores, just like it to even my skintone.

Concealers -Lancome - Maquicomplet (Complete Coverage Concealer)
rated 5 of 5
kimm 12/20/2002 8:41:00 PM

Great concealer. I'd say it has "medium" covg. for a concealer. Leaves a natural, satiny finish. Nothing too shiny or matte. Not sure if I'd use this on zits.

Bath Treatments -Origins - Fretnot Bubble Bath
rated 4 of 5
kimm 12/20/2002 8:22:00 PM

Great smelling bubble bath, but doesn't do anything to warrant the $24+ I paid with tax. I couldn't believe the price when I saw it. I only bought it now because of the holidays.
