I really like this! Since no one would respond to my swap requests, I went ahead and purchased this and I don't regret it. The smell is a little funky and off putting but it did a pretty good job detangling. I used it before going to bed last night and put my hair in a pony, today I have the softest hair with good curls & minimal frizz. Smell is no longer noticeable, but I did use Philosophy's Amazing Grace conditioner as a leave in. Thumbs up!

Concealers -Senna - Totally Transforming Concealer

One of the best undereye concealers I've used besides the Ben Nye Blue Neut. and Obagi eye cream cocktail I make. After I get my face frosted, I just dot dot dot under my eyes, pat it in and voila! No creases! Ironically, the woman that told me about Senna products is a colonic therapist. I told her she must think way too much about poo if she even found makeup with the same name as a popular laxative. This stuff is incredible though and she seemed to think and I agree, it's the sh**.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette

Fingerprints!!! Arrived from Sephora.com last week and to my horror, it appeared swatched! About 4 shadows had some obvious tampering. I called Sephora up and a lovely gentleman agreed to send me out a new one and I sent back the defiled one. Colors looked okay but not as fantastic as it was all hyped up to be. I see now that the price has increased to $48. I will update my review when my replacement arrives. Update: Received replacement today, not without flaws but whatever. Pretty nice palette. I will have to scrap Smog, Darkhorse, Creep & Sidecar because they make a glitterbomb fall-out shelter of my face. Within about a 1/2 hour of swiping on eyeshadow, I was covered in glitter like a raver on New Year's Eve. The other colors are great except I already had Naked and Half Baked from another palette. It's fine though because I have some spectacular micas to replace the glitterballs and I can overhaul my Naked palette to custom perfection!

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Metallic Creme Eye Color in Alloy

Tiny amount for money but I'm really enjoying product. Great alone but I purchased specifically to wear as a base under Too Faced's Naked Eye palette and it's smashing and performs like a dream. Smooth application and long lasting. I probably would purchase again but only with a significant coup., gc or from Ebay. Most single eyeshadows are hugely overpriced but I contribute to this problem too since I'm foolish enough to buy it. It's very nice though..

Concealers -Cover FX - Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer

What gives? How do they justify price like that when product doesn't come through. Did not help or cover at all for me and thankfully Sephora took it back. Please get yourself a $1.00 sample of Face Atelier's concealer as I found that to be an incredible concealer and will purchase the full sized product.

Wow! Brilliant purple color and looks just as lovely applied as it does in the pan. Soft and silky and lasts a long time and is great as a crease color, smudge color or lid color. I'm loving it so far and have just only started playing with it. Expensive but one of my new favorite purples!

Concealers -Unlisted Brand - Keromask concealing cream
rated 3 of 5
kimbuyah 11/11/2010 8:33:00 AM

I had high hopes and thought this would do it for me. It's not very thick and when I apply it to parts I need concealed, as soon as I put anything over it like foundation or powder, it's gone. It's like super slippery or something and just sneaks off . Why does this happen? One minute, Keromask is friendly and helpful and then, "psyche!" It's pretty good under the eyes though and didn't jerk me around up there and crease out but Ben Nye BN can take Keromask out anyday. Not worth it to me. I hope Cover Fx or Makeup Forever concealers are better than this. Velveeta is better than this. Hopefully it works well for others, just didn't for me. I dislike to be negative about a product because somewhere, someone came up with the idea and maybe, partially, was the creator of the product and that person's family is probably proud of them and then someone comes along and says how the product sucks. I'm sorry Keromask inventor, it didn't work for me but I heard stellar things about it and that prompted my purchase so it's great for someone else.

Crème -Illuminare - Extra Coverage Foundation/ Concealer
rated 4 of 5
kimbuyah 10/23/2010 6:14:00 AM

With oily skin, I have a hard time with foundation that isn't powder. Sheer Cover is what I used for the last five years, but it quit working and we broke up a few months ago. Anyway, I am trying everything extra coverage lately and received the trial kit of Illuminare 2 weeks ago for $10 and I bought the funky leopard puff thing too. I guess they don't have trial sizes in Alabaster because that's the color I needed and can't use the darker ones but the lightest of the three ,Florentine Fair is ok. You get a lot of product for $10. All three shades are named after places in Italy and it's fitting because they are all olive skin colored. I am not but it wasnt too bad. I am learning different techniques and the first time I tried this , it gathered in and around and made my pores look like little collecting pools. It felt heavy and greasy too and again made me sigh and realize I won't be able to wear foundations other than powder. But maybe not. As I suspected, a powder prime is looking like my oily girls solution. I also read on here the other day about a flat top brush and this did the trick. I never brushed on foundation before but it's neat. You only need a little bit of product and this is quite thick. I used the back of my hand as a pallette and even spritzed it a bit with Clean & Clear oil free moisturizer spray and buffed it in. I lightly daubbed all over with a damp sea sponge and it stayed pretty flawless for a good 12 hours. I didn't even use any concealer which is unusual and it covered up as good as the government. After it had been on a really long time it did start to slide but it worked really well long enough to impress me and I would wear it again but just need to get the Alabaster shade.

Mascara -Smashbox - Hyperlash
rated 2 of 5

Not what I would expect from Smashbox. I Love Love Love Smashbox but this is not for me. Full sized tube came with the nice blue eyes kit I bought. It's very messy and takes a LONG time to dry. I needed a wet paint sign for my eyes. Hope you don't have to sneeze or blink. If "Hyper" means that it is all over the place and can't sit still, then title is on the money. Otherwise, it was Hyper hyped.

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Mascara

Oh my my my! I am a rediscoverer loverer. What on earth kept me? I had this little mini and it looks like the other 2 mini mascaras by Sephora in my drawer and I like to layer mascaras. Some of this and a little of that. My last steady flame, and I will give it a respectful rating, was Loreal Telescopic in the gold tube.We still see each other but I am fickle and will cheat on my mascaras all the time. Anyway, plucked this tube from the drawer and put it on and was very impressed with my new Aeon Flux lashes. I had just bought a tube of the Loreal' torture ball mascara which I had wanted to try and put that on top and voila! This is my new duo for a while. Oh, and I just got a new mini size since the other one might be pretty old but even still, it overachieved and swept my lashes off their feet. http://img.makeupalley.com/1/2/1/7/1847241.PNG

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner - Skinny Jeans

This is great! I am now a new sucker for all the Fyrrinae, TKB and Pure Lux shadows I recently bought but if I don't have time to play, this is super sexy and effortless. I smear on some primer, although supposedly, it's not neccessary but it's become habitual, and smear some of this on. My hubby said, "hey, your eyes look cool." I like the color a lot, pretty pewter ,not over the top but not bore-dinary either. It's a nice quick app. but looks glam and is eyepoppy. It feels creamy and I thought it woulp slip away because I'm often oily but nope, stayed pretty and put. I didn't line over it so don't know how that would work, but it's an awesome solo performer with just a mascara and waterline backup .

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Swing Set Eye Shadow

Stunning! love this. Was skeptical of the rollerball but it's cool and it works. Color is so pretty and sometimes grays can look blue but not this. It reminds me of a gray pashima or cashmere. Nice with a thin black upper liner , their ivory base, Bobbi Brown Peony blush and MAC lipstick in " Craving". Looks like it could dress up or down.

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Powder Blush - Peony

First time I ever spent so much on a blush. I always wear blush but up until this purchase a week ago, wore one blush until the blush wore out. I'm kind of a utility blush user and have been using a Clinique blush in I have no idea what shade, but it looked like the color I might turn if I blushed, I guess. It's a perfectly sized small and square GWP blush that I got from Ebay when the one I had was close to expiring. I am one of those bad people who never tosses her makeup until she's good and ready to. So remember that if you think you might want swapperoos. Anyhoo, saw the Lime Crime girl, who has such a lovely pale and flawless milky complexion with pretty pink cheekies and I wanted that look too or as much as possible. I saw that Nars has a bright pinky one too and all of a sudden, after years of mono-blushdom, I wanted the Coastal Scents blush palette or ultimately, a theatrical beaut like a Ben Nye blush palette. Macy's lured me with an offer of free shipping if I ordered beauty products, I went for it. This blush is very pretty but it's still kind of blushy to me. For some reason, blush and bras are just things that don't have to be spectacular for me. It's nice. I only used it for 2 days now and the fair skinned have to be careful because if overdone could turn you into Stuart from Mad TV. "Look what I can do." I will give it a fair chance and see if it lives up to exorbitant price tag.

Crème -Graftobian - High-Definition Glamour Color Creme Foundation
rated 4 of 5

Got a $3.99 sample size in Bombshell from Paint and Powder Store. Just newly out of a 5 year relationship with Sheer Cover. At the time we first hooked up, all the other foundations were just trying to get into my pores and I needed one that looked great and performed well and could last through 12 hour shifts. I'm in late 30's (ouch, that's flippin' awful outloud) now and have more demands and need way more coverage. I haven't used anything other than powder in all that time. I've fooled around with Ben recently and like the pancakes, his concealers, I find too oily for me though as are the creme and matte foundations. I tried Mehron pancake and found the perfect color and if anyone can match Mehron Starblend Cake in Extra Fair to a Kryolan cake or powder foundation, please let me know. I love the Graftobian Hi Def Pro Powder in Fair Maiden and ordered this creme version sample too at the same time but wasn't really thrilled with it because it soaked into pores like every other creme or liquid base. I like the color very much. I have not figured out how to prime well. I have several primey products but am still trying to tweak application. I know this may be wasteful and weird but I buffed some of the creme over my powder application and I really liked the way it looked. I have the lightest in the powder version, which I didn't find light enough and this seemed to lighten it up nicely. Which led me to believe that maybe the perfect primer for my difficult skin would be one made of powder or Kilz. I have experimented with milk of mag as primer and I like it. I also learned by reading reviews(thank you all so much, enormous help to me!) that I don't know how the heck to apply this and was just blobbing it on like regular liquid or creme foundation. I am going to try it with the brushes you gals use and am also definitely going to come up with a powder prime. I have my first and heavily anticipated TKB order arriving soon and since I needed a SPF solution with my Ben Nye cakes, the Z-Cotes should be great for this sort of thing. I ordered the silica spheres, allantoin and magnesium stearate powders as well for my mad scientist experiment to mash all together with mortar and pestle while laughing maniacally and then I'll smush the neon mixture onto my face while shouting, ALIVE, ALIVE! muah ha ha ha
