Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals Foundation #2

I LOVVVVED this product the first time I used it. My pores were invisible and my faced looked picture perfect. Until I started noticing bumps all over my face. (forehead and cheeks) I didn't want to believe it was from this miracle product but I stopped using for 2 days and they completely vanished. Used it once again and broke out in huge painful cystic bumps again! I will NEVERRRRR put this on my face again.
I did a side by side comparison of Diorshow and YSL Faux Cils. Faux Cil wins in length...but only slightly. Was also more volumizing. I don't like the bigger brush on Diorshow...I have small eyes and it makes it impossible to control the application. I also don't like the scent of Diorshow. I would not repurchase....I'm sticking with Faux Cils.
Self Tanners -Nivea - Sun-Kissed Beautiful Legs (shave minimizing)
keco52 4/22/2009 8:35:00 PM
I bought this because it smelled SOOO good in the store. And because it's a shave minimizer (the one I was using -Aveeno was dc'd) I got the one for med/dark skintone. I was really in love with the scent of it at first so since it smelled so good I decided to apply it to my whole body...even though it says sun-kissed legs. Big mistake. The color is not bad...very subtle. I did miss a few spots and it made my hands look dirty (you're supposed to wash them after you apply) BUT once it dries...it smells realllllly bad. I haven't been using long enough to notice if I'm shaving less...will update later. I will keep using until I finish this bottle (ONLY on my legs tho!) bc I like the shave minimizing aspect of it but I won't repurchase. It smells too bad. It does make my legs soft...but all Nivea lotions do.
This scent reminds me too much of a chemical hair removal product. It's not horrible but whenever I smell it my first thought is...Nair. It reminds me a lot of Jessica McClintock too. I can only smell the floral notes which I loathe. It doesn't work for me but I could see why a lot of ppl like it.
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible 6-Hour Lip Gloss in Sunset
keco52 4/21/2009 8:37:00 PM
This is THE worst lipgloss I've ever tried. It smells very good...like cotton candy...and I also like the applicator. It's a teardrop shaped sponge-y tip. But it's a very drying formula and leaves behind TONS of sparkles on your lips once the gloss has worn off. Would not repurchase.
I'm the worst at applying nail polish. I ALWAYS have a nic or smudge when I'm done. It stars to chip after one day. I'm just not a nail polish person. That is why I can justify buying this polish. I did have to use 3 coats but it dries fast (I didnt use a top coat) so no smudges and on day 3 and there is only a tiny chip on my thumb. The color is just meh to me...I could probably find a shade similar and be happy but I doubt I would be able to apply it without looking horrible. I actually like the MAC n/p formula. If it takes a little more effort to have less chips and smudges...it is definitely worth the price to me.
I usually avoid MAC l/g bc the ones that I've tried are not very impressive at all. The consistency is always off, they're sticky and not moisurizing at all. That being said...Boy Bait is nothing like the lipglasses. I LOVE the Cremesheen collection. Boy Bait is the perfect nude...I imagine it probably works well with all skin tones. Too bad it's LE...this is the only product I've ever been tempted to buy back-ups of.
I RIS and I can't see myself purchasing this. It looked really unnatural on me. Maybe I don't know how to apply it but I had serious muppet brows.
This is the best under eye concealer I've found so far. It covers my dark circles (and I have the WORST) I would never use this to cover blemishes bc it is too cakey and thick. It would feel like a mask. It also makes my face oily and breakout. To cover dark circles-YES Anywhere else on the face-BIG NO!!!
I usually use MAC concealer. It does a decent job covering under eye circles but the texture is too heavy to cover blemishes. Effacernes is the opposite. It covers blemishes well but is nothing special when it comes to covering under the eye. I found myself reaching for my d/s concealer after I used Effacernes...it just didn't impress me at all.
Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

I'm not sure what to think yet. It lengthens like CRAZY and it looks natural (not spider lashes) but it's not very volumizing on me. :/ It didn't separate my lashes either. I'll definitely keep trying to perfect the application but for the cost I was expecting a lot more! *update* I did a side by side comparison with Faux Cils and Diorshow...and Faux Cils wins. The brush on Faux Cils is perfect for me. It's easier to see the pros when you do a comparison with another mascara. I changed my overall rating from 3 to 4. When it's time to buy new mascara...it's going to be Faux Cils again!
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer

I've never tried udpp so I can't compare the 2 but tfsi WORKS so I don't feel the need to try udpp. I have tried paint pots, concealer, white eyeliner. ALL failed to keep my e/s on. It e/s usually wears off by lunch...if it hasn't worn off by lunch then my lids get oily and all of the shadow migrates and clumps in my crease o.O. It's embarassing...especially when I dont catch it until I get home. With tfsi my e/s lasted 12+ hours!!! 3x longer than it usually lasts. AND I only used a teeny tiny amount on each lid...which is good...it means the tube will probably last me a long time! I'm thinking it may be HG status! ^.^
This mascara is nothing special. The big dumb brush makes it hard to get to every lash. It does lengthen lashes slightly but no absolutely no volume. I would not repurchase again.
I loved this color when I first got it. It was aodrable on my toes. Ppl either loved it or hated it on me. But they did all agree that it's a unique color. My boss said it reminded him of the 70's. It was fun to wear during the summer but it's kind of novelty-ish so I probably won't repurchase. It was also thick and kind of hard to apply..I had to add thinner.
I love the rodeo diva collection. One of my favorites so far. Red Stallion is a glowy metallic red with yellow and gold shimmery reflects in sunlight. One of the men in my office actually complimented this color.
