This is one of my favorites! I once went to a bar and three other women were wearing Lounge too! The color has a lot of depth, and it think it looks much better on me than in the pan. You could use this for an interesting smokey eye look!!
I'm actually kind of glad this one was discontinued (or LE?). It looks really pretty in the pot, and you get a lot of product. It is a little too sheer for my liking, and it faded on me so that it looked like a wierd zombie bruise color. I haven't tried to see if I can get it to work better on me, because I suspect that it may require an eye lid primer to look like I wish it would look on me.
I really love all the Kryolan metallic eyeshadows. They are sparkly and metallic without having huge chunks of glitter that irritate my eyes. You can apply lightly for a wash of silver or heavier for disco ball reflective shin (just kidding! kind of) you can get all sorts of interesting looks when you apply this over or under a flat colored eyeshadow. The pan that this one comes in is smaller than the Kryolan powder shadows, but still 2-3x larger than MAC's pans.
Kryolan products are pretty easy to find on ebay and you probably won't find them anywhere else unless you shop at theatrical MU suppliers. I really love this color. It is just as intense as MAC, but it lasts much much much much much longer with creasing or fading. The smell... is ummm... natural. It isn't at all disgusting or unappealing, but it is distinct and it doesn't small like any of my other eye shadows. I don't think they used any fragrances to cover the smell as it came off the manufacturing line. The pan is GIGANTIC, and I'm sure it will last forever, so it is worth every panny!
Eye Shadow -Paula Dorf - eye color glimmer in mambo

This is one of my favorite colors. It is a dark dark almost black but almost kinda green with gold sparkle. A color with a lot of depth! This is perfect as a liner and for smoky eye looks. Pauls Dorf shadow pans are ENORMOUS, so they are a real steal and worth eye penny!
I like this color for when I feel like a mermaid, because the color reminds me of shimmery fish scales. The pan is HUGE!!! Larger than all the other brands I use. It may be a more expensive item, but it will last forever.
Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color

I'm honestly a little scared of bronzers. I blush more than enough quite naturally, so I usually avoid all types of bronzer and blush. This one is really pretty. It is just a hint of bronze and it is really shimmery so it adds a lot of glow. Just a light sweep is perfect when I went a barely there look. I'm sure it could applied much heavier, but I've never tried
Sunscreen -Mary Kay - Sun Essentials Sensible Protection Sunblock SPF 15
katykat 4/29/2005 9:42:00 PM
I bought the SPF 30 version. My skin is oily and finicky. I tried several high and low end sunscreens before I tried this one, and this one is the only one that didn't cause me to break out! The texture is nice and creamy. It spreads easily so I don't end up tugging on my skin. When I use it I don't need to use moisturizer too.
Eyeliner -Passport - Roundtrip Eye Definer Moscow-Istanbul
katykat 4/29/2005 9:30:00 PM
I'm really happy with with this product! I was looking for a purple eyeliner and I was thrilled to find one that had a different purple shade on each end. Istanbul is a brilliant medium purple, and Moscow is more of a dark plum. It goes on really smooth and doesn't tug at all. It also really lasts. My MAC eyeshadow faded long before the eyeliner did!
I bought this because I like Paula Dof MU, and I like stick concealers. I was told that it was great for covering dark under eye circles. It is, but it also cleased and really emphasized the fine lines under my eyes. Very sad. I use it on the inner corners of my eyes where I don't have any wrinkles ;) I think it is a nice all around concealer. It has a nice smooth texture, but when I accidentally applied too much it all slid off.
I was so excited to try this product, but it made me break out. I tried everything, but no matter how little I applied, or what other products I used I always broke out after using Super City Block. I'm beginning to think that I'll never find a sunscreen that works for me.
Lotions/ Creams -Kiss My Face - Everyday SPF 15 Moisturizer
katykat 2/7/2005 11:28:00 PM
I was hoping that I could use this on my face, but my skin is just too oily I think. I broke out after trying it on my face. It is great otherwise and I love it as a sunscreen. I'm just a little disappointed that I can't use it on my face.
Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent
katykat 2/7/2005 11:22:00 PM
It hurt my eyes so much when I tried to use it to take off eyeliner and mascara. I was wearing contacts and my eyes were burning. It is very good for cleaning up stray bits of eye shadow that fall on my cheek, and I can use it with a q-tip and not mess up my eye make-up. I'm going to find something else to clean off eye make-up at the end of the day, but I'd purchase this again to use to clean up eye make-up mistakes and messes.
Scrubs -Earth Science - Apricot Gentle Facial Scrub
katykat 2/7/2005 11:16:00 PM
Feels very moisturizing, and cleansing, but the grains are really large. There aren't a whole lot of grains, so I'm not too worried about them damaging my skin. I try to scrub very very gently. I really like the texture otherwise, so I'll buy again.
I love this color. It is really like thing else. It is sort an etheral red with green sheen in the pan and on the face. I'm really into reds right now, so I'm wearing it more often right now than when I first bought it about a year ago. It is an intense and complex color so I like wearing it alone, but it also goes well with red, brown, and pink eye shadows. Mine is in the old metal type of packaging. I hate the newer plastic containers.
