Lipstick -Christian Dior - Rouge Dior Replenishing Lipcolor (New Formula)
js1624 11/18/2010 11:13:00 AM
I have always loved Dior lipsticks and this formula is no exception. Very pigmented and creamy. I have Dior lipsticks that I have had for YEARS that have not gone bad and that are still creamy, useful and smell great. They are just the best quality. And for me, one of the things I love about them is the smell and taste - I hate a lipstick that has neither, which is why I never use Clinique or other brands that are bland. Dior not cheap but are well worth the money. I have several of this formula and just purchased the new purple one #786 Mauve Mystere. Not for the faint of heart, but wow what a cool color. Has more true purpley/mauve than any other lipstick I have found, even Mac's Rebel. Very "up to date" fun color - I have it on today!

Liquid -100 Percent Pure - HEALTHY SKIN FOUNDATION WITH SUPER FRUITS SPF 20 (full coverage / satin finish)
js1624 11/11/2010 11:03:00 AM
Well, this isnt bad - it was hard to blend. You def have to do a small area at a time. I think this would be really good for oily skin. But for dry skin it seemed a little "flat" to me. However, I have been mixing in my palm with Alma TLC 16 hr foundation and that is a fantasitic combo. A really pretty velvet finish with great coverage. I like the Almay since it is great for my super sensative skin and I like the pretty natural finish, but I LOVE the coverage when you mix the two together. I think it is best when it is equal parts but I am not positive. When I get that worked out I will probably mix it up in a sep container since I usually mix too much in my hand. this combo lasts all day - it looks the same at the very end of the day as when I started! LOVE IT!

Lip Liners -Sephora - Lovely Lilac
js1624 11/8/2010 5:30:00 PM
AWESOME color!! Not really lilac but a pretty purply color with a touch of frost that goes with all the new fall colors. Just the color I was looking for too. So many just have too much pink or red, this is just right. I love these little pencils case they are so cheap I can buy several: for my bag, my desk, my makeup case, vanity, etc. I mean I hardly ever use up a pencil, I usually just find one I like better so I end up with tons of them. These little ones are so much cheaper, easier and the work great!

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder
js1624 11/8/2010 5:12:00 PM
I love this stuff! Really brightens the eye area. I use YSL Radiant Touch as an under eye conceler as I dont have dark circles just some small lines and this really finishes it off nicely without acccentuating the lines at all. Usually I cant put powder under my eyes - a moist look is just better for those little lines and I just want a finished look. This stuff is so much better than just the YSL by itself. And it will last for a long time as it only takes a small amount. I use a foundation brush and just pat a little under each eye and on the cheek bone sometimes too. Great product!

Lipstick -Sephora - Lip Attitude - Star 12
js1624 11/8/2010 4:58:00 PM
Well, I am kind of on the fence on this one. It is a petty purpley plum color with some frost to it. It is pretty dark, which is fine with me but it seems a little dead - more on the purple than the plum side. More on the blue side and not so much red. But so far I think I am keeping it. If you put it on lightly or blot it it is very pretty and of course the liner you use makes a difference too. And I think it would be great over other lipstickes too - like MAC'S Rebel, I think I will try that combo next - or other lippys that are on the dry side. I have put some different glosses with it and that livens it up too. A dab of MAC's Funtabulous looks good with it. Ok, I think I have talked myself into keeping it! This is the first Sephora lippy I have purchased in a long time so I am hoping the tube holds up. It feels like it will but as I said it has been a while since I have purchased theirs. I tend to stick with Dior, YSL, etc as I love the glamour of the pretty tube and the great taste. I have over 200 + lipsticks, havent counted the glosses yet. But I know there are some here with way more than that! But I love all the pretty colors of lipsticks and how you can mix them & add glosses - and you can spend $30+/- and get a great treat that makes you feel happy - that is a pretty cheap high. OK, BABBLING!

Lipstick -MAC - Rebel Lipstick
js1624 11/5/2010 11:21:00 AM
Love this color - even on my PPP skin it is not too dark in the winter and as they say you can be versitle with it. I use the Gerlain product under it that keeps your lipstick from bleeding, etc and it seems to keep it moist enough. I dont like a gloss over this lipstick unless I use just a thin coat of it as the color will bleed and it changes the look - although I do sometimes use a thin coat of the lipstick with my finger and then a little gloss or balm is ok. But a really cool color!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Dazzleglass in Funtabulous
js1624 10/22/2010 5:12:00 PM
Would I buy again? Honey I have about 4 of these - in my purse, in my desk and work, on my makeup counter @ home...... Total HG! Makes so many lipsticks and liners look better and also looks great alone. Loved it when I saw it in the tube but was not sure how often I wold actually use it - well I use it all the freaking time! Between this one and Clarens #03 they are almost the only glosses you need. The Clarens is a corally-bright pink with purple irredescent undertones so it works similar but I like it more for spring and summer. If I could only buy 2 glosses it would be these 2. Fortunatley I can buy more so I have over 200 lipsticks - havent yet counted the glosses. Oh and both of these these colors are great for any age too!

Crème -Laura Mercier - Crème Smooth Foundation
js1624 10/22/2010 5:01:00 PM
Just got this in a sample from Neimans in one of their gift bags and took it back for the correct color. It goes on thick but when you buff it with a sponge it smooths and thins it out to where it looks very natural but still gives nice coverage. What amazed me is that the first day I tried it, I got home and cleansed my face and it was smooth and porcelain. Usually when I take off my foundation, no matter the brand, and I have tried them all, I have a lot of pink and/or ruddiness and often little irritation bumps. I know I am allergic to mica, most sunscreens and any type of dimethicone product - but it has gotten where all foundations cause some type of mild irritation that I felt that I just had to live with it. Even Clinique and Almay cause it and they were my old stand-bys that I could always go back to as being safe. I just dont remember the last time I removed my make-up at the end of the day and my skin actually looked as good as it did that morning before I put it on - for me that is amazing! Maybe this one is keeper!! UPDATE: i have to say, not at good as Almay TLC

Treatments -Neosporin - Antibiotic Ointment
js1624 10/13/2010 3:31:00 PM
This is the best stuff ever for pimples - even deep ones. I don't get many but when I do, I clean my skin, use my toner and moisturizer then before bed dab on some antibiotic ointment - actually any brand is fine, and in the morning the redness is gone and it is at least 50% better. For during the day I gently massage a small amount on prior to makeup application. The zit is usually gone in 2 days and never any redness to deal with. The problem with drying lotions is that dry skin does not heal, it needs moisture for the skin to stay together and heal. And if there is a pimple it needs something to kill and keep out bacteria. I had heard that models use this all the time and it is the only thing I have been using for about a year now and it is fantastic. My skin has never been better. I hardly get a blemish now and if I do it is gone lickety-split! Also if you dry up skin and pimples too much they can just turn hard and never go away. This is the best solution ever! UPDATE: now I use the triple anitibiotic ointment - works the best.

Lip Gloss -Laura Mercier - Lip Plumper in Wildberry
js1624 10/13/2010 3:15:00 PM
Just purchased this and love the color and the taste! I hate lip products that have not taste or flavor. Goes on really pretty over lipstick, alone ,or with just liner. I was worried that with the thinish texture it would run but it doesnt. Very nice. Oh, and if you like the color and are looking for a lipstick to match, Gerlain has one that is perfect - it's called Xalt Lilas. A perfect color for this time of year. A pretty purpley-plum, not too dark not too light and not that oldy lady brown-plum from the 80's.

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer - Hydrating
js1624 10/13/2010 10:54:00 AM
Just purchased this on the advice of the SA at Neimans when a got a sample of the LM cream foundation to try. I have not been happy with other primers as they tend to have sunscreen &/or silicone which I am alergic to. So far I really like this one. I def made my skin smoother and helped my foundation go on better. Made my makeup look more velvety, too. I am using it currently with my Clinique and Almay foundations as I like to only introduce one new thing at a time so I will wait to try it w/ the LM cream foundation. I would prefer a pump maybe but that is not a big deal. It is a little expensive but it sure does not take much of it. I especially like that is is hydrating now that fall is hear and winter is coming and my usual moisturiser will need a little boost - I dont like anything too heavy as then I tend to get some clogging on my t-zone so this seems like it should work well. Time will tell.

Cleansers -Renee Rouleau - calming chamomile cleanser
js1624 9/7/2010 5:36:00 PM
Another one of my HG cleansers from RR. I love to use this in the a.m. and just rinse off - it leaves your skins so soft and soothed, not dry and parched. In the evening I like to use the Gentle Gel cleanser to remove makeup, including eye makeup, with the RR sponges. Then I use this cleanser as my skin is dry, and this leaves it feeling moist, smooth and comfortable. You just can't beat RR products - they are the best and a great buy for your money as they come in a good size.

Crème -Laura Mercier - Silk Creme Foundation
js1624 9/3/2010 2:55:00 PM
So far I really love this stuff. It seems perfect for my formal to dry skin - keeps it looking healthy during the day instead of dried out. No caking and does last all day. I use if over Renee Rouleau moistureizer and it goes on like a dream. EDIT- not as good as my old stand-by Almay TLC.
