Highlighters -MAC - Magically Cool Liquid Powder - Truth & Light

I heard rumors that this powder was going to be a part of the permanent line, nevertheless, I really wanted it. My MAC SA demonstrated it on me and I thought OMG, this would be perfect for the summer. Unfortunately, the counter I was at was out of stock. I opted to order it online. I received it yesterday and when opened a cloud of glitter/powder enveloped me. I checked box and it wasn't damaged, nothing was damaged, in fact. The powder, I guess, spilled out of the container?? I'm not too sure, about this theory. However, I still think this is a great powder and worth buying. Its so lovely and works wonderfully.
This is the best eye lash curler ever!! It's too bad that shu pulled out of the American market and will now only be available online. I have to say I own both the shu and the shiseido, I much prefer the shu. It opens up wider and can accommodate my longer eyelashes. It curls beautifully and does not pinch anywhere. The only negative is that shu does not offer replacement pads like shiseido. I will buy this over and over again.
Masks -DDF - Sulfur Therapeutic Mask [DISCONTINUED]

Currently my skin isn't in the best state. I think I'm getting hormonal acne and it is really painful. I also tried to use BHA's to help clear my skin and pretty much destroyed it during the process. This mask is wonderful! It softened my skin and made it baby smooth. I'm not sure if it will help with my acne or not but I definitely noticed a reduction in the amount of oil that I produce through out the day. The price isn't that bad and it lasts a long time. I will buy this again and again!
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Flavor Splash Lip Balm

I bought these on a whim while waiting for a flu shot at my local Walgreens. For me, they don't do much, my lips do not feel any more hydrated then before and I don't like the fact that it is made in PRC=People's Republic of China. I don't like the idea of things that I put on my lips and thus into my body made in China. To the trash they go.
Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte #26 Tender Peach

I hate to bring down the rating for this product but it does not work for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the color for my NW15-20 skin but it dries out my lips so much. My lips peel by the end of the day when I wear this product and since its so creamy I go through it like mad. I tried wearing various lip balms underneath it to prevent peeling/drying but nothing worked, back to Sephora it goes.
Lip Gloss -Christian Dior - Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect 587 Lace Beige

I love Dior this gloss and Dior glosses in general. Dior glosses are not sticky at all and are so creamy. I use this color to tone down red lipsticks and such. This definitely wont be my last Dior gloss purchase, I plan to never buy another brand again, unless they change the formula.
I just did a test run of this foundation and I can't stand it. I got matched to an NW 15. It was a good color match. However, I absolutely cannot stand the smell of this foundation, it smells like paint thinner. It is a very matte finish which I don't mind but it also has a tendency to emphasize my skin imperfections and I don't have bad skin. I'll just stick with my Chanel and Dior foundations. I like them much much better.
Other -Unlisted Brand - Braun 7280 Silk-Epil Xpressive Epilator

While I don't have this particular epilator, I have a similar one that Braun makes. I think the pain that every one talks about is a bit exaggerated. If you are using to waxing it doesn't hurt as much. I think this is a pretty efficient way to get rid of unwanted hairs. I've only tried it on my legs and probably won't around my bikini area as I am very prone to ingrown hairs.
I adore this product. It is so pretty on my skin. Its like a deeper pink? Its hard to describe but it is so very pretty. I use it as a lip tint and a cheek stain. I don't think I'd use it on my eyes though.. too pink. The only downside is that it can get a little unhygienic, using your fingers or applying directly and the packaging typical of NARS; everything sticks to it. However, it is gorgeous and isn't too expensive considering how much product you get and how little you need to use it.
This is such a beautiful tint. Its read but without being over the top red. I use this on my lips more than I use it on my cheeks. It doesn't dry out my lips like other tints have in the past and it layers nicely to give a richer vibe. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. Additional info: I've stayed away from the multi use products from Nars because I hated the way it looked and felt but this one feels more like a gel rather than a cream. I own both Beverley Hills and Cadaques. NW15 skin.
Paula's got a reputation for being a cosmetic cop and I respect that. However, her book is nothing but a blatant advertising for her own products because she rates most of her products as "picks". I would respect her opinion more if she didn't use such high handed advertising of her products. She also seems to have a problem with ph's and foundations without SPF. When reading this book, I think it's important to remember that she does not have a background in neither chemistry or dermatology. So take her opinions and judge for yourself.
Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel
jmsk112486 6/4/2010 5:57:00 PM
What a mediocre product. It uncurled my lashes and clumped the so badly! I much prefer my YSL mascaras to this crappy expensive mascara. Never again will I buy a Chanel mascara.
The packaging is so blah to start off with and the quality even worse. I bought two mascaras from Chanel when Nordstrom was having a sale. The idea of this brush was beautiful; spooly and a brush! However, the formula was so clumpy and and dried out. When I put it on my lashes it did nothing for them. It did not hold a curl, volumize and lengthen them. I promptly sent the mascara back for a full refund.
I got this from Sephora for a special price of $5. It tastes and smells awful but the moisturizing effect is really nice. The formula is very liquid-y and is very smooth. I found that it is a bit difficult for me to apply as it goes all over my lips but I'll leave with it as it is so moisturizing. Also I found that it dries to a shine non-sticky lip gloss which is totally awesome!!
Overall rating: 0/5. I got this as part of the Urban Decay Hall of Fame kit and I hate it. This mascara clumps, flakes and runs; all of the things I don't want in a mascara. I'm glad I didn't actually buy the full size version of this product. UD is basically all packaging and no delivery on products and I don't even like the UD packaging, too tacky by my standards. Anyways, if you are looking for a great mascara invest your money elsewhere, this one is not worth even one dollar.
