Gels/Soaps -Korres - Kings and Queens Nefertiti Honey
jago 6/27/2009 1:10:00 PM
This is my favorite of all honey scented body products. It never turned into a cloying, or plasticy scent, just sweet delicious honey. The body wash itself was very creamy and produced a great lather. It wasn't mega moisturizing, but definitely not drying either. Love it!
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
jago 6/27/2009 1:01:00 PM
I am absolutely in love with Shadow Insurance! It really helps keep shadow on my eyelids, even sparkly stuff. Hot humid days can't beat it! In comparison to UDPP, I felt like it stayed better. I also found that I had an easier time applying the SI, because you only need the tiniest little drop, and w/UDPP I'd end up with way too much on from the doe foot applicator. Perhaps this is simply my own lack of skill, but I'll mention it anyway. I also like that at the end of the tube I'll be able to cut it open and get the last little out, not so easy to do with UDPP.
I love this! I know it's an "all over" product, but I only use it as a blush. I feel like it's foolproof for me, I know that I vary in application amount, but it always looks good. In the past I've been so scared of blushes, they always end up looking garish on me, or so obvious that people comment. This just gives me that "glow" that beauty editors are always raving about. I agree with one of my fellow reviewers, I don't know why others have complained about the packaging. It's just a white, rectangular compact w/rounded edges. Very simple, works just fine.
Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - organic wear eyeshadow duo
jago 8/24/2008 3:15:00 AM
I love this shadow duo! I have it in Brown Eyes, which others have described well. The colors are long lasting (even without a shadow base), and did not crease on my rather oily lids. They blend beautifully, and the lighter shade is wonderful as a subtle highlight.
Conditioner -John Masters - Citrus & Neroli Detangler
jago 6/16/2008 8:57:00 PM
I rarely find hair care products that I want to rave for, but man, I LOVE this stuff! My hair feels (and looks) tamed! With no styling! No effort! I'm used to using a bunch of conditioner (a big blob), so I'm trying to control myself and only use a little bit. Makes my hair incredibly soft, no need to detangle/comb/brush, and I can even try to wear my waves w/out using many styling products (lately just a little gel). Thick/wavy/medium texture hair.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads

I was quite impressed with these pads. My skin visibly improved after about one week of use, looking brighter & healthier! Not sure if it really effected my scars, but at least made them less noticeable. Neither side of the pads irritated my skin at all, and they were easy to use in the shower (I just put one pad in the shower each day so they wouldn't all get wet).
Gels/Soaps -Dove - Dove Calming Night Body Wash [DISCONTINUED]
jago 2/6/2008 8:22:00 PM
I love this body wash, it's one of my favorites that I've actually bought again and again (which can be hard to say for someone addicted to trying new products)! I find it very moisturizing, I have "normal" skin, and even in the winter I don't need to follow up with a lotion. The scent is soothing and lovely, I don't find that it lingers on the body a long time...by that I mean that it doesn't seem to conflict with my perfume or other scented products.
Moisturizers -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Lavender Renewal Facial Serum
jago 4/5/2007 12:32:00 AM
I have only been using this for a few weeks, but so far I really love it. I was finding that I continued to have flakies even after exfoliating, and just in general having some dehydration issues. I only use RAM 3X/week, and didn't want to cut it down even further. I use this every morning under my moisturizer, and it's really helping my skin look healthier and feel better. I don't come home feeling oily or flaky, just remains nice and hydrated. I realize that the vitamin C in this product is not stable and probably has already degraded, but it has so many other good ingredients I don't worry about it. I wouldn't recommend this for someone seeking a vit. c serum, though. Update: I still really enjoy this serum. It does not contribute to my acne, and it's great if you just need a little more moisture than an sunscreen can provide (but don't want a full-on moisturizer underneath). I've repurchased twice.
Mascara -Almay - intense i-color volumizing mascara - purple amethyst
jago 3/23/2007 2:48:00 AM
I really enjoy the formula of this mascara. It's a fairly natural effect, seems more about defining the eyes than volumizing or lengthening. The wand is terrible, but the product itself is great.
I love this toner! I put it in a spray bottle, and I love to spray it on to help my moisturizer slip around, as a pick-me-up, or to set my makeup. Smells nice, very gentle, and priced fairly.
Conditioner -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Glistening Ylang Ylang Conditioner
jago 3/7/2007 1:28:00 AM
I like the scent, it's a very mild ylang ylang, and if you use it with something else it doesn't overpower or linger. However, I find the conditioning benefits of this to be not quite strong enough...in fact, my hair is usually pretty shiny, and when I use this for a few days in a row my hair stops being shiny!
The scent is a little different than some of the other pumpkin products in this line, this has more of a ginger note to it. I have thick, slight coarse, "normal" hair...this just doesn't do much for me. I have successfully used it after my hair has tried to tone down some flyaways, but otherwise, not so much. I wouldn't buy it again, but I might suggest someone with fine slick hair try it, perhaps it could even be used as a texturizer for them!
Eye Shadow -Tony & Tina - Universal Color Dust in Quasar
jago 8/2/2006 7:49:00 PM
Quasar is a nice ivory-esque shimmery loose pigment that flashes pink/lavender iridescence. It has much less yellow than the box's swatch would lead you to believe! Effective as a neutral wash, applied wet as a base, or applied over other shades to lighten. Definite plus! I recommend you swap for it, track it down on ebay, or scour the disscount bins for any remmnants of Tony & Tina products to get this shade.
Shimmery grey with a taupe undertone, no hint of sparkle. This is a creamy and easy to blend shadow. This is the big sister of Clinique's Foxy, less brown and what Foxy wishes it could be! They go well together to form a somewhat subtle smokey eye, could be easily made intense, but suitable for those who would not wear a smokey eye created with black.
I was very disappointed in this lip pencil. I prefer lip pencils to be creamy and smooth, and I found to apply this I had to put quite a bit of pressure on it. Not worth it in my opinion! Will not repurchase, I do not recommend it either.
