Lip Gloss -Chanel - Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in Petit Peche #148 Chanel Lip Gloss
jacoba 11/18/2011 11:24:00 PM
Love this gloss, I have about 5 shades and this color is a really soft pink color without a lot of glitter. Really nice and subtle, one of those low maintenence colors that wears off naturally and doesn't require any touch ups. No paranoid glances in the mirror in fear of it bleeding or getting on your teeth. Can be worn by itself or over a lipstick in a similiar color for a beautiful effect. Sleek, simple packaging in classic Chanel style. I've heard its a favorite on the Gossip Girl set, and I know why! Two thumbs up!

Treatments -Chanel - Hydramax + Active Serum Active Moisture Boost
jacoba 11/18/2011 11:19:00 PM
This is a beautiful serum, the fragrance is amazing and the formula is super lightweight. The packaging is very innovative and practical and I wish every face cream came in the airtight vaccuum pump like this one does so you don't get any bacteria in the cream from dipping your fingers in it, plus you know you'll get every last drop of the product, which is important with the hefty price tag. The only downside of this product (in my opinion) is the 12% alcohol in it. This can be a good thing in the summer for those with oilier skin types because it will combat that as well as lightly exfoliate, however, in these dry winter months I would probably use it under a moisturizer in the day time or by itself in the summer time. I tend to get dry patches of skin around my lip area and I tried using this to give it an instant moisture boost but then I clued in that the high alcohol content would prevent the moisture from doing its job on really parched areas. Therefore, I would recommend this in the summer time for normal/combination/oily skin types (dry skin would probably need something with no alcohol) but from an economical point of view, you're better off finding a cheaper cream that does its job without all the fuss, as there are many out there!

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Aqualumiere Gloss #68 Candy Glow

Love this gloss, its a beautiful pink color with coral undertones. Will flatter every skintone, with the perfect amount of shine and is very moisturizing. Doesn't feel goopy or thick and will enhance every skin tone and light up the whole face. Can't get enough, huge recommend!

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Plum Lip Treatment SPF 15

Love this lip balm! I also have it in the Rose shade as well. Both colors are beautiful and naturally enhancing, perfect for everyday wear. I like the stick applicator instead of a pot, because I don't have to involve my fingers to apply and transfer germs and is much more hygenic. Even with fair skin, this color won't look to harsh. Recommend for any and everyone! They are moisturizing and taste and feel great, and have a slight sheen with great colors. What more could any girl ask for!

Lotions/ Creams -Clean - Ultimate Hand Cream
jacoba 7/20/2011 5:14:00 PM
Nice everyday hand cream to carry in your purse. The scent isn't too appealing for me, it smells too much like chemicals and not as musky as I would have hoped. It isn't greasy, but if your hands are very dry it probably won't have much impact.

Moisturizers -Chanel - Beaute Initiale Energizing Multi Protection Fluid SPF 15
jacoba 7/20/2011 5:10:00 PM
Good product, smells and feels like luxury (but would we expect anything less from Chanel?). I put it on in the morning before my foundation. I like that is has sun protection as I am always weary of trying sunscreens as they tend to make me greasy in my T zone. This one goes on nicely, but I just felt like it doesn't deliver adequate moisture for my normal/combination skin. I'm 19 and my skin isnt overly dry or oily, but this cream doesn't make my skin moisturized or mattify my T zone, so it isn't worth it for me. It comes in a nice pump, very sleek looking, but when I'm getting low I've already tried to take the lid off but I can't, so when I'm running out I wont be able to open it and get every last drop out, which is important to me when paying that much for a cream.

Moisturizers -Lancome - Absolue Absolute Replenishing Lotion SPF 15
jacoba 7/20/2011 5:03:00 PM
I got a smaller version of this cream in a Gift with Purchase. I wasn't a huge fan of the smell, it smelled a lot like chemicals, and it didn't spread evenly over my face without a lot of effort, and it doesn't melt into the skin very easily, making it feel like it simply sat on the surface of my skin without really sinking in, therefore making it unable to do what it should. I still wake up with dry patches, and my skin feels tight, despite the thick layer of cream that I put on before I went to bed. I don't recommend this cream for anyone, I can't think of a skin type that would benefit from using it.

Polishes -Chanel - Riviera 537

This bubble gum shade of pink is the most wearable, fun summer shade I have ever seen! It doesn't look childish at all. It is the perfect pedicure shade for the summer, and compliments every pair of wedges and sandals that I own. The formula lasts forever and doesn't chip, and dries in just the right amount of time, so that when you're applying you can get an even amount of color on the nail before it starts drying, resulting in a clump-free finish without those annoying tiny bubbles! Huge recommend!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Ombre Essentielle all shades
jacoba 7/20/2011 4:54:00 PM
Colors are gorgeous, natural yet very enhancing. They stay on and don't crease for hours and hours, and the color delivery and intensity is perfect. The glide on beautifully and blend very well with each other, I have 8 different shades and they all seem to compliment each other! An investment, don't bother with cheap, disappointing shadows. These will last and do exactly what you want and more.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Levres Scintillantes
jacoba 7/20/2011 4:51:00 PM
Love this gloss. It has some glitter in it but the glitter is so fine that is doesn't look childish but rather reflects light in a way that makes your lips appear fuller and plumper. Provides a sheer wash of color, so if you're looking for more color intensity I suggest layering over a lipstick. Doesn't dry lips out! And the formula doesn't bleed and drip onto your chin like cheaper ones do, but isn't thick or sticky either. Another Chanel winner. Definitely recommend!

Eyeliner -Chanel - Le Crayon Yeux
jacoba 7/20/2011 4:47:00 PM
Love this eyeliner. It can be used to define eyes, or smudged for a smoky eye. What I LOVE is the formula, it glides on so smoothly without much force, which is the #1 thing to look for in an eyeliner because the last thing we want to be doing is stretching and tugging the delicate eye area every day when we apply, which will no doubt give us sagging skin on an already prone area. Right now I have Gris #69, a smoky grey/navy color with a hint of shimmer. But I will definitely not be buying another eyeliner formula! I want every shade!

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
jacoba 7/20/2011 4:43:00 PM
Love this foundation, the colors are true and if you are matched correctly then you will find that it blends into your skin seamlessly. Doesn't look cakey or fake, and will not make your skin oily or dry. Provides light-medium coverage, perfect for me when layered under MAC Prep and Prime Translucent Finishing Powder. My skin looks even and flawless! Definitely recommend for those who don't need a ton of coverage and just want to even out their skin tone and provide natural luminosity without oiliness.

Mascara -Rimmel - Lycra Lash Extender
jacoba 7/20/2011 4:39:00 PM
I really like this mascara, I have naturally dark, thick lashes but they are relatively short. Despite their thickness, I still like a volumizing mascara, and this one goes on really nicely and delivers to its promise. Gives me length and definition and volume. The only downside is that it tends to flake after a few hours, but considering the price I suppose that's a given. I would recommend if you're debating to just give it a try.

Mascara -Lancome - Oscillation Intensity
jacoba 7/20/2011 4:35:00 PM
This product is nice, the formula is great, very fluid with good color intensity. However, I'm not a fan of the brush and the formula together, it makes my lashes clumpy because the brush's bristles are so far apart and small that it doesn't comb through enough to separate after the formula is on. I also find that due to the comb, the formula goes on too heavily that it weighs my lashes down enough to make it pointless to use an eyelash curler. The vibrations on the comb do nothing. Overall verdict: good formula, would be a great mascara if it had a different brush.

Shampoo -Redken - Nature's Rescue Shampoo
jacoba 4/8/2011 9:43:00 PM
This made my recently highlighted (last month) hair seem really dry and tangled in the shower, I made sure to deep condition even my roots after using this because it just felt really dry and gross. I think because it is a clarifying shampoo and I do not use much product on my hair to begin with, so it wasn't really necessary. But overall I wouldnt recommend. Not a fan of the smell either, does not smell natural. I like that it has no parabens or sulfates though, but that is the only thing. The deep conditioner version is nice though!
