Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

i got this a week ago during a revlon buy one get one free sale. i was so excited because the lightest shade ivory looked perfect. previously i was using nw15 sff for reference. the mac nw15 was pretty close to a perfect match right when i put it on, but 3 hours later my face looked like a pumpkin. it applied like a dream with any method but the whole oxidizing thing was horrible. for the first few day i hated the colorstay. i tried applying this with a MAC 187 and a 109 and it just looked terrible and i couldn't blend it no matter how hard i tried. it also sweated off my face a few hours later in the heat. finally i bought a bag of cosmetic wedges and tried applying it with a damp cosmetic wedge. FLAWLESS. this also helps me not waste any product due to the whole no pump issue. it didn't sweat off either. NO ORANGE FACE. it stays the same color all day and lasts all day. my only complaint for this product is that around my nose area looks really cakey. the rest of my face looks flawless but around the nose gives it away. ill try using more lotion next time. PROS: - cheap, often $13 for TWO bottles. - great quality - medium/buildable coverage great for people like me with rosacea. - no oxidizing, or turning orange - not cakey, doesn't emphasize pores or fine lines - sets quickly (could be a con, see below) CONS - you need to work in sections bc it sets fast definitely worth checking out if you apply if the right way! - doesn't have many shades with yellow undertones.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
imsomelicious 4/25/2009 12:33:00 AM
i'm surprised this got such low ratings. this is my 2nd go-to drugstore mascara. i love the brush and how it curls and separates my lashes. it was so cheap at my local harmon, i think around $6. the packaging is really cute too. the only thing i don't really like is that it doesnt add much volume to my wispy lashes, so i have to use another mascara with it. my tube is not at all dry like other members have described. very good for a d/s mascara, probably will re-purchase.

this shadow feels like velvet and picks up so much color with the smallest swipe. basically, it's brule on steroids. i bought this color 2 weeks ago and already see a dip, i use it as a lid & highlight color wayy too much. it's love. a must have for anyone!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Plumage - Matte e/s
imsomelicious 4/23/2009 6:54:00 PM
This is easily in my top 5 mac shadows. I'm not a huge fan of blue shadow but this is BEAUTIFUL on my nw15 skin and brown eyes. I reach for it all the time and every time I'm wearing it I get soo many compliments. To be honest, matte2's are just amazing in general, so smooth, pigmented & easy to blend. This shadow is a must have for any collection and goes well with so many color combos. I personally like it with blanc type on the lid with plumage in the crease. So pretty!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Moth Brown
imsomelicious 3/22/2009 11:46:00 PM
so generally i buy into the hype, find out a product is nothing special from a perm item and pass it on to someone else. NOT the case with moth brown. for some reason i was expecting it to look like satin taupe but it's nothing like it. on my eyes it shows up a smoky grey-ish brown with a purple sheen. i patted vex on my lid with the 239 and then used the 217 to blend moth brown into the crease. my new favorite go-to look/day look/smoky eye/night look. immediately i thought i hope this gets re-released because i know i will use all of it. do not pass this up if you come by it!

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
imsomelicious 1/30/2009 1:20:00 AM
Basically, I'd die without this. It goes on super smooth and i almost always get it perfectly in one try. No other gel/gream liner compares! No flakes, no clumps just a matte, very black eyeliner. perfection. EDIT- this dries out a little too quickly for me. switched to buxom lashliner, love it!

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Bent Eyeliner Brush

I THOUGHT this would be my HG brush so I ran out and got it real quick. I've tried numerous times to get the perfect thin line that everyone else gets with this brush, to no avail. The lines I get are super thick no matter how gentle or close the the lash line I go. The hairs of the brush are way too flimsy in my opinion and give me little to no control. I get way better results with my MAC 208 :(.
