Bought this on a friend's recommendation when I complained that Sec N Dry dries almost instantly, but does not have a shiny finish. This is shinier, but takes longer to dry. I'd say probably a few minutes before it is dry to the touch. I have not noticed shrinkage, but I am still testing for that. It is fine, but nothing to write home about. Would probably not repurchase.
Moisturizers -Boscia - Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel

This moisturizer is fine. It doesn't give my sensitive skin a huge reaction, does a decent job of moisturizing (not great) and seems to bring down pimple size slightly. But at this price point, I would prefer more striking results. I think this is just too expensive for being an OK product. Would not repurchase.
Tinted Moisturizer -Tarte - Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Mosturizer (Smooth Operator)

I am so disappointed in this! I have been using it for a few weeks and was pleased with the results. Using this with the Tarte Airbrush finish brush left a flawless finish. It does not mattify, but seemed to be moisturizing fairly well. And then the breakouts started. It was around that time of the month, so that was a contributing factor. But it was more and more severe breakouts than I usually get. So I stopped it for a few weeks and tried again. Same thing-more bad breakouts. So bummed, but this is going to have to go.
Makeup Brushes -Tarte - Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush

This is a thick, fluffy brush for smoothing on foundation. It kind of looks like a cross between a kabuki brush and a really fluffy blush brush. I use it with Tarte's BB cream and the texture is flawless. It leaves an undetectable finish, like your skin is just that great. My one complaint is that the handle is so wide t is hard to fit into my brush roll. But that is a minor complaint. I was lucky to get it at the friends and family sale, but i think this brush has such skillful application that it's worth it at full price. Would definitely repurchase.
Cleans gently., does not cause a reaction in my very sensitive skin. And it really works! I had a medium sized zit, and it shrunk to almost nothing overnight after one use. Pores look smaller and texture is more refined. The only negative is that it does not foam up no matter how much water I use, so it takes more than I think should be necessary to get my face clean. But overall, I am extremely pleased with this and would definitely repurchase.
This mask is phenomenal. It is a peel-off, so steer clear of hair and eyebrows-it will hurt to pull off of those. After 20 minutes, it is dry and ready to peel. I didn't think the peeling was harsh or hard on my skin. And the mask did not set off a reaction in my very sensitive skin. I was floored by how much refinement in texture and decrease in pimple size this mask gave in such a short amount of time. It is pricey, but for such great results I would definitely repurchase.
I got this product in a deluxe sample, so I had a few days to try it out. I was expecting (hoping) not to like this product, based on the completely insane price. However, I was really impressed by the results. It did not set off my ridiculously sensitive skin, nor did it break me out. I just had soft, smooth, hydrated skin. My skin's imperfections were diminished, and even my fine lines seemed shallower and less pronounced. I docked one lippie for the price, which I think is out of control. But this stuff really works. I don't think that I would buy it at the retail price. But if I could find it cheaper online, I would definitely pick some more up.

I'm disappointed in this product. It provides little color and no moisturizing that I can tell. It does not mattify. I'm not really sure what it is doing, because it does none of the things that it promises to do. About the only nice thing that it does is not set off my very sensitive skin. Also, as far as I can tell, it is not breaking me out. But at this price point, I expect a little more than that. Will not repurchase.
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Clear Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 55
hooplehead 7/11/2012 11:59:00 AM
Effective sunblock with high SPF. But far too harsh for my sensitive skin. My face reacted immediately and badly to this product. Too bad, because a clearing sunscreen would be great for me. But this is too harsh for my face. I will use as an all over sunscreen, but would not repurchase.
I have had a really hard time finding a facial sunscreen. Most have ingredients that set my sensitive skin off. I like that this lotion doesn't do that. I like that it wears well under makeup. I like that it has a high UVA/UVB SPF. I have not had a burn this summer since I've been using it. If this were just a sunscreen, I would have given it four lippies. But I had to knock it down a few lippies because it is billed as a moisturizer and it does. not. moisturize. My skin is dry and flaky by the end of the day, which should not be happening when I put a moisturizer on in the AM religiously. I will use this as a sunscreen until it runs out, but as I will have to use a separate moisturizer, I do not think I will repurchase. ETA: Bah. After a month or so of no reaction, it set my skin off terribly. Out it goes. :( Time to try something else.
Beautiful silvery lavender foil finish polish. Applies smoothly, stayed on my toes for 2 weeks without chipping. For $2, you cannot beat it.
Drop dead gorgeous polish. I could not stop looking at my nails. To keep the glitter from being covered over by the polish, try putting on a topcoat when the polish is slightly wet. It will clear the polish off of the glitter and really make it stand out. I am totally in love with this polish and will definitely be repurchasing.
Polishes -Rescue Beauty Lounge - Under The Stars nail lacquer

So pretty on the site, such a disappointment in person. It is more black than blue and the shimmer barely shows up at all. Will definitely be swapping.
Rory is a pretty bubblegum pink foil. It dries in the blink of an eye, so you have to blend quickly to avoid weird brushstrokes. You could get away with just doing one coat, but I usually do two. I'm also really pleased with the wear. No chips and only minor tip wear with Orly Bonder base coat and Orly Won't Chip Topcoat. So pleased with this polish. This color is cute, but I am not as in love with it as I am with Carly or Zuza from the same collection. It is a more dupe-able color, so not quite as much of a must-have. I might repurchase, but I am on the fence.
