Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Walking on Eggshells
rated 4 of 5
hoku 9/12/2012 12:52:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 1 ($2.96 CAN) Packaging: 4 Buy again: yes ------------------------------------------ I bought this trio because everyone's been talking about it. I love neutral colours, so I gravitated towards it instantly. The colours are beautiful, wearable, and shimmery, so it's great to brighten the eyes. If you don't like shimmer, you won't like these. I have no problem with creasing or fall out, so for me, it's great. And the fact that I can pick up one of these palettes for less than $3, is even better!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush Waterproof
rated 4 of 5
hoku 9/12/2012 12:41:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 2 ($5.96 CAN) Packaging: 4 Buy again: yes ----------------------------------------- I have never been a fan of Maybelline mascaras, so I was surprised that I enjoyed this. I tried this based on a recommendation from Missglamorazzi on Youtube. I have this in Very Black. Packaging: Love the colour of the tube! Teal is my favourite colour, so when I saw this, I had to have it. The brush is also interesting; it has a flexible portion in the brush that is similar to like a "bendy straw", so the brush flexes as you apply the mascara to your lashes. I also notice that when I take the brush out of the tube, it's not overloaded with mascara, so I don't have to wipe off the excess prior to application, like I do with other mascaras. Performance: I. Love. This. I have straight asian lashes that I curl, and when I apply this I never have to re-curl my lashes after! It really holds a curl well. I get a little volume with this mascara; not as much as L'Oreal Voluminous or CG Lash Blast, but the lashes also don't look like I'm wearing mascara. Normally when you apply mascara you can tell that you're wearing it, because there is a slightly waxy, thick-ish look to the lashes. With this mascara, if you look at the lashes closely, you can't even detect it because of the gel-mousse formulation. It also feels incredibly lightweight, and isn't as drying for my eyes or lashes as L'Oreal Voluminous waterproof. It just makes your lashes look like how you wish they looked naturally, and really polished. It doesn't smudge on me, and I wear it all day long (12+ hours). It removes easily with an oil-based makeup remover, and doesn't make my lashes fall out. If I want a really dramatic, false-lash look, I wear L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof. But for everyday beauty I reach for this mascara!

Eye Makeup Remover -Garnier - Fresh gentle eye makeup remover for sensitive eyes
rated 4 of 5
hoku 9/12/2012 12:25:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 2 (~$6-7/150 mL) Packaging: 4 Buy again: yes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I bought this product a while ago looking for a gentle, effective, and cheap eye makeup remover. This one fits the bill. It removes eye liner, non-waterproof mascara, and eyeshadow without any problems at all, without drying out the skin around my eyes or irritating my eyes. The packaging says that it can remove Waterproof makeup, but I have to say it doesn't. This product also smells amazing, and doesn't have an oily after feel. Packging-wise, I like it. It has a flip-cap, which I like more than a pump or twist off cap. I can control the amount of product very easily, and I like the clear packaging so I can see how much I have left. The only problem I have with this, is that it doesn't remove waterproof mascara, which I wear more often than not. So, that's kind of a problem for me. If I wasn't wearing waterproof makeup, I definitely would buy this again!

Cleansers -Garnier - Pure 3 in 1 Wash-Scrub-Mask
rated 4 of 5
hoku 7/24/2012 11:58:00 AM

Overall: 4 Price: 2 (~$7 CAN) Packaging: 3 Buy again: yes -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! I bought this like 2 years ago and use it intermittently, mostly in the summer. I bought this when I was going through some particularly difficult breakouts on my face. I am in my mid-20s, Chinese, NC30-ish olive skin, combo-oily, breakout prone. I have purchased a 3-in-1 product before by Neutrogena, and let me tell you, this one by Garnier is SO much better. I have to say though, I'd rather call it a 2-in-1. There is no real difference between using it as a cleanser and scrub, so I put those together. It's great for oily days, as it just makes the oil disappear, and makes my skin feel smoother, and very clean. It's a fantastic mask! It's great because you can leave on for as little as 3 minutes (i.e. I use this sometimes in the shower for a quick mask), or even longer like regular clay masks (I leave mine up to 30 minutes). It helps with oil, and I feel like that helps with breakouts. The smell of the product is ok -- I remember thinking how fake the cucumber smell was when I first got it, but now I'm just used to it so it doesn't bother me. The consistency of the product is good, not too thick, not too thin. And the exfoliating granules are perfect size too. Now, this did not 'cure' my acne when I bought it. I still had to use things like tea tree oil, benzoyl peroxide, and eventually the birth control pill fixed things big time for me. But, I still enjoy this product now because I'm off the pill now and using this 1-2x/week helps keep things in control, I think. It's cheap, has functional packaging, and does what it says reasonably well. Can't ask for more!

Treatments -Clinique - Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
rated 4 of 5
hoku 7/8/2012 12:48:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 5 ($72 CAN/30 mL) Packaging: 4 Buy again: yes? (see comments) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have tried many dark spot correctors for my freckles on my cheeks, which are caused primarily from sun exposure. I've had these freckles for a REALLY long time, so I wasn't expecting much. For reference, I am Chinese and have NC30-35 Olive skin tones. I've tried things with hydroquinone, which do work, but they are not good for you (long time use associated with Liver damage), and they tend to irritate my skin a bit. I bought this on June 11, 2012, so I have been using this for almost 1 month. This dark spot corrector was pretty good. It has a pleasant texture -- a thick serum-like consistency. The SA at Sephora described it as a "Condensed Milk" consistency, which is pretty accurate. It has no smell, and absorbs easily into my skin. It actually served as a decent moisturizer (I have oily/combination skin so it was enough for me), so I would put this on, SPF, and be set for the day. I cannot stress the importance of a high SPF lotion! I use a Japanese sunscreen which I bought from eBay (Shiseido Senka Mineral UV Gel SPF50+ PA+++) on top of this stuff everyday. I noticed that my freckles started to lighten probably within the first 2 weeks. I have been using it consistently 2x/day, and I have to say that my less dark freckles have lightened up like a tone. My darkest freckles might've lightened a little, but it's not enough for me to notice that much. So, if you have really dark, tenacious freckles, this may not do much for you. But my light-medium darkness freckles have lightened a shade or two. That's all I was really after, to be honest; I know that I will never have a perfect porcelain complexion, but I wanted to lighten the freckles even a little so that I have a less "muddy" looking complexion. I did, however, find it was REALLY great at helping to erase hyperpigmentation from blemishes. It works best on new blemishes. I had a zit on my temple, and after I applied this for a week the left over marks were gone. So let me re-iterate: I still have freckles. They are just less obnoxious looking. The price: OMG. I hate the price. It's sooo expensive. But, it has lasted me quite a while, so I guess it's not the worst thing ever. Packaging: I like that it has a pump, which dispenses the perfect amount of product for most of my face -- I usually use about 1.5 pumps for my entire face. I do like that the packaging is opaque, as I feel like it "protects" the ingredients. But I also dislike that it is opaque because then I can't see how much is left. I've used this stuff long enough to know that it doesn't break me out either, which is a major plus. I break out very easily, so this is great news. I found that using it also made my skin soft; I got rough, irritated skin when I used hydroquinone products. Buy again... I said yes only because yes, it's a good product, and if I had no alternatives, I probably would. However... I am a well informed shopper and I do have alternatives, most of which are purchased online over Ebay from Asia. So... if you are in a pinch and don't want to wait for things to ship from overseas, Cliniqie Even Better Spot Corrector is a good one that does what it says.

BB Cream -Skin79 - Diamond The Prestige BB Cream
rated 4 of 5
hoku 6/8/2012 1:20:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 2 ($11 for a mini size) Packaging: 4 Buy again: Yes ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am in my mid-late 20s, Chinese, light-medium olive skin, freckles, acne-prone, oily-combination skin. I have tried and loved the Skin79 Super+ Triple Functions BB creams (VIP gold and hot pink), so I was very excited to giving this a try. I love BB creams over foundation because they give me the perfect amount of coverage (I like light coverage, nothing too heavy) and blend seamlessly and work well for a good-sized range of skin tones (NC20-35ish), and are quick and easy to apply. Colour: I find this BB cream a little bit paler in colour than the Super+ BB creams. The Super+ bb creams are a bit grey in colour that blend to match your skintone after it oxidizes. This Diamond The Prestige BB cream is a bit more of a beige that would suit up to NC30, but definitely no darker than that. Texture: This bb cream is very lightweight in consistency. It's thinner than the Super+ BB creams, but still gives me good coverage. I especially like using it under my eyes, as it gives me a good amount of coverage and brightens (I have some dark circles, nothing severe, and this is able to cover them up). It doesn't cake or crease up throughout the day, which is awesome. I find the coverage to be better than the Hot Pink Skin79 BB cream. Finish: This BB cream gives a matte finish (on me, anyway). I prefer matte over dewy finishes, so if you don't like matte, try The Absolute BB cream by skin79. It does not say it controls oil anywhere on the package, but I find that it helps for me. This BB cream is supposed to offer whitening, anti-wrinkle care, SPF, nutrition/moisture for the skin, and diamond powder in the product. I dunno about anti-wrinkle, or even whitening, but just like the way my skin looks and feels after using this. I use this more in the winter when my skin is a bit paler, but even now I can still use it, provided I use sunscreen daily (and you should!). I have tried quite a few Skin79 BB creams and I've been very happy so far! They make great BB creams. I buy mine on Ebay from the seller "rubyruby76". She gives a great price (much cheaper than buying from the Skin79 website) and shipping is free and pretty fast from Korea. Highly recommend!

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
rated 1 of 5
hoku 6/5/2012 3:15:00 PM

Overall: 1 Price: 5 ($35 CAN) Packaging: 2 Buy again: never ----------------------------- I bought this in the hopes of using it for my brother's upcoming wedding to prolong makeup wear. I have had this product for less than a week and already it has completely ruined my skin! I have combination to oily skin so this seemed like it would be good. I have several faults with it: 1. It claims to give a matte finish or keep skin matte. This did the exact opposite. No matter how I applied it it just made my skin oily and gross looking. My face looked better without it. 2. Claimed to set makeup to prolong wear. Nope. If anything it made it fade away and breakdown faster because of point 1. 3. It made my skin erupt in angry big pimples when I didn't have any previously using this product. This is a big no no for me. I haven't had skin this bad since high school. Thank god I tested this before hand. I am returning this to sephora tomorrow and now have to deal with the aftermath of this horrible product. If you have sensitive skin, stay away from this product.

Conditioner -LUSH - Jungle
rated 4 of 5
hoku 4/2/2012 3:37:00 AM

Overall: 3 Price: 2 ($7.95 CAN) Packaging: 2 Buy again: yes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm surprised I like this as much as I do. It did take me a little while to get used to this though. When I first bought it I applied too many strokes to my hair and overdid it, I guess, so my hair felt weighed down and heavy. THe next time I tried it, I rubbed it back and forth across my wet hand a few times, applied that to the ends of my hair and then rubbed only 3 strokes on the top of my hair and then 1 stroke down the length of my hair. I rub it in a little, finger combing to ends, and then rinse. It helps hydrate my fine hair just enough from the solid shampoos to get rid of frizziness, and prevent dryness at the ends. So, lesson learned: less is more. I like the smell -- wish it was stronger! I love the idea behind the solid conditioner and shampoos, as they would be great for travel or camping. I don't either very often, so for me,I just love them for daily usage, and they are great. EDIT: 01.08.2013 So after using Jungle for a while as described as above, I was noticing it was weighing down my hair and then my hair got obscenely greasy... so I stopped using it for a while. Now that it's winter and my hair is in need of a little TLC, I brought this out again and use it differently. What I do now is scrape about maybe 1/8 of a tsp of the jungle bar into my hands and rub my wet hands together to form a conditioner paste. I rub the paste at my ends first, and whatever is left I massage into my scalp/rest of my hair. I let it sit while I do the rest of my shower, and when I rinse, my hair instantly feels more hydrated, stronger, and has more body/bounce. Love!

Shampoo -LUSH - Seanik
rated 4 of 5
hoku 4/2/2012 3:32:00 AM

Overall: 4 Price: 2 ($10.95 CAN) Packaging: 2 (there is practically no packaging...) Buy again: yes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 25 year old asian, medium/long dark brown, fine, straight hair. Oily scalp, usually requires daily washing. I actually love all the solid shampoos I've tried (New!, jumping juniper, and now Seanik). They all provide a really good, thorough clean, and are less harmful to my hair that regular shampoos. I found that with regular shampoos my hair just felt so stripped and was getting thinner due to all the chemicals in them. With LUSH solid shampoos my hair seems to be regaining its strength and thickness. I still shed a lot when I wash my hair, but I'm now able to wash my hair every other day, whereas I couldn't do that before. Seanik claims to give you voluminous, shiny hair with its seaweed, lemon oil, and jasmine oil formula. I can't really smell this shampoo once its been rinse off, which is a shame, because it is a very pretty smelling shampoo. Seanik does what it claims -- gives me volume and shine, but all the solid shampoos do, so I'm not sure what else is different. I do like the idea of the seaweed in it though, as seaweed is supposed to be nourishing and full of vitamins and nutrients... though I suppose if its getting rinsed off, it doesn't matter. As with all solid shampoos, they can leave your hair a little dry and frizzy, so I always use Jungle solid conditioner with it. Overall it's quite good and I would probably buy again.

Shampoo -LUSH - NEW! Hair
rated 4 of 5
hoku 4/2/2012 3:23:00 AM

overall: 4 Price: 2 ($10.95 CAN, but it should last a REALLY long time) Packaging: 2 (I don't mind though, the tin is pretty cute) Buy again: yes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried this out based on a recommendation from my best friend. For reference, I am 25 years old, asian, and have fine, dark brown straight hair. My scalp gets quite greasy and I usually have to wash my hair everyday otherwise it's just gross. I have always had fine hair and I do shed a lot -- but lately I've been finding I'm losing A LOT of hair, and I felt like I was actually kind of balding -- I think it might be from stress. I tried using thickening shampoos, cleansing conditioners... I know you're not supposed to wash your hair everyday, but I really CANNOT go a day without washing otherwise my hair is a greasy, stringy mess, and let's be honest - I do not feel clean or good about myself if I go out in public like that! Back to New! solid shampoo --My friend said it was supposed to be good for regrowing new hair, and the lady at Lush said the same. I liked the smell at the store -- just like cinnamon heart candies. I find the smell quite faint, to be honest -- I wish it was a little stronger. But, that's ok. I like the concept of solid shampoos because I feel like we're getting a more "concentrated" product, and that might be well worth $10.95, rather than a bottle of shampoo that is at least 50% water. I also like that there is less environmental waste and such. After I wet my hair, I run the bar over my head a few times and then I lather up and massage into my scalp -- it eats away oil, tingles very slightly on the scalp and then rinses clean, leaving practically no scent in my hair. I find that my hair becomes just a little dry if I use it on its own, so I use Jungle solid conditioner with it (very sparingly) and it controls frizzies. I don't know if this shampoo is helping with my hair-loss/thinning problem, but I feel like my hair is thicker and lusher... and I'm now able to go with washing my hair every other day! I never could do that before! Also my hair has more volume too, which I never was able to get with regular shampoos. I am totally impressed with LUSH Solid shampoos and will continue to buy!

Shampoo -LUSH - Jumping Juniper solid
rated 4 of 5
hoku 3/17/2012 1:28:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 3 ($9.95 CAN) Packaging: 3 Buy again: yes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I decided to buy this solid shampoo bar because my best friend had been raving about how awesome they were (she loves NEW!) and I've been having issues with my hair, so I figured I'd give it a shot. When you look at shampoo bars they look like little coloured hockey pucks -- they are 2.25 inches in diameter and about 0.75 inches in height. They fit perfectly into the LUSH solid shampoo tins. I like that there is no actual packaging for this product -- I feel like I'm being very eco-friendly that way. I also like that you're not wasting money on a product that is 50% water, because this is basically a concentrated shampoo. For $10 you get a shampoo that is supposed to last you at least 3 months (shampoo generally lasts me about that long anyway for $4, BUT like I said, 50% of the shampoo you buy at drugstores is water anyway so I feel like I'm getting ripped off). I like the scent of this solid shampoo -- it smells like lavender but it's not too over-powering. If anything, I wish it was stronger! It doesn't linger in my hair at all, which I'm a little disappointed in... but that's ok. As far as how I use it: I get in the shower, and wet my hair. I carefully handle the shampoo bar to avoid getting it wet from the shower spray and swipe it on my head a few strokes (left, center, right, back of my head under my hair) and carefully put it back into the tin with the wet side up. I gently start massaging my scalp to get the shampoo into a lather and finger-comb to the ends. I have an oily scalp and need to wash my hair everyday, but even I would find this shampoo drying on the ends of my hair if I used it without conditioner (I failed to use a conditioner the first time I tried this). However, if you need a little moisture, I added a tiny amount of coconut oil to my hair after blow drying and that has left me with shiny and hydrated ends. I like how compact and simple these solid shampoos are -- I look at my bathroom and see how I have various bottles of shampoos, conditioners, and treatments, and I can see myself just replacing it all with one of these shampoo solids and a little coconut oil or a good conditioner. My hair is shiny and feels really clean when I use this, and it doesn't dry out my scalp either. I am thinking of trying to create something to kind of separate the shampoo bar from the bottom of the tin, as I worry about it sticking when it dries. When I do that, I'll update this post! Overall, I'm very happy that I decided to try this shampoo solid and can't wait to try others. It can be a little expensive ($10 for a shampoo + the $4 tin, but you could use anything), but it will last so much longer and is chock full of great quality ingredients and won't have wasteful packaging in the end, so I think it's worth it.

Eye Makeup Remover -Equate - Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
rated 4 of 5
hoku 3/13/2012 11:24:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: ~$5/120 mL Packaging: 3 (plastic bottle, small neck, screw off lid) Buy again: yes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personally, I don't mind this eye makeup remover. I don't really wear waterproof mascara (very infrequently) so I can't speak to that. But for normal everyday mascara like CG Lash Perfection, and eyeshadows and Stila Smudge Pots gel liner, it's great. I take a cotton pad and flip the bottle onto it 3 times to create a big enough area to saturate my eye, and I hold it onto my eye for about 5-10 seconds before I start gently stroking my eye area in downward strokes. You need to give the remover some time to start breaking down makeup. I do not have any issues with this -- it's cheap and it works. I'd buy again, but I would prefer it to have a flip cap, which is more convenient.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Tea Tree Oil
rated 4 of 5
hoku 2/27/2012 8:50:00 PM

Overall: 4 Price: 2 (~$12/25 mL) Packaging: 4 Buy again: yes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh my goodness, how have I not reviewed this product yet?? I've been using tea tree oil for acne on and off, with little success initially. I first tried The Body Shop tea tree oil, which is diluted in alcohol and water and is stupid expensive for a tiny amount (was $7.50/5 mL). Personally I would never try that again since I found it ineffective when diluted so much. I've also tried several store brands of tea tree oil: Jamieson Sterisome Tea tree oil, Treemenda, and now the Life Brand (from Shoppers Drug Mart). I feel like they all perform about the same. For those of you who don't know this already, Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic/germicidal agent which can be used against things like athlete's foot, acne, cuts/scrapes, bruises, and even ringworm. I found the smell very strong at first, but now I've come to love the smell and I feel like the scent is very calming. Having first used it in 2003, I think I've gotten the methods of using it down pat now. I use it various ways depending on my area of concern. If I have acne all over: I'll just add 2-3 drops to a cotton pad that is already moist from my toner and I'll swipe it all over my face to deliver a small amount all over my face to treat without burning or drying out my skin. If my skin is a little dry or I want to combine acne-fighting power and moisturizer in 1 step: I'll put a little virgin coconut oil in the palm of my hand (a pea sized amount will do) and add 1-2 drops of tea tree oil. I'll mix them, and then apply all over my face like regular moisturizer. Virgin coconut oil doesn't break me out but if it breaks you out you might not want to use coconut oil. I've heard that mixing it in your regular moisturizer can work well too. I've tried with jojoba oil as well and it works quite well. Spot treatment: I'll just drip 1-2 drops of tea tree oil into my hand and use my finger to dab it on the spots and dry. As long as I don't over-apply I don't have any issues with drying my skin out. Unlike other plant oils, this oil isn't hydrating at all, so if you have dry skin, always wear a moisturizer on top. I have combo/oily skin so sometimes I can get away without putting moisturizer on top. Pricing -- will vary depending on the size of tea tree oil you buy (5, 10, 15, 25, 50 mL respectively). But usually you can find it for under $20. I find it very economical because I can use it on my face, but also to clean my yoga mat (add a few drops to a damp cloth and wipe your mat down), and even to clean in my house (add a few drops into a bucket of soapy water). It leaves a very clean herbal scent. A few drops goes a long way, so 25 mL will last a long time, even with daily usage. Packaging: I like that it is packaged in an amber glass bottle with the dropper stop in the top -- it allows you to drip out 1 drop at a time, but you do have to be careful sometimes because several drops can spill out at a time. There's something very apothecary/old school that I love about glass bottles. I keep mine in a holding container with other skincare so that it doesn't topple over and break. Effectiveness: So... here's the thing. If your acne/rashes are caused by bacteria, tea tree oil will be very effective because it has antibacterial properties. If your acne or what appears to be acne isn't going away from tea tree oil there are 2 possible reasons: either it isn't caused by a sensitive bacteria (could be resistant or a different strain, or may be caused by fungus), OR the pore also has mechanical blockage which needs to be cleared first. So keep that in mind. I find that sometimes tea tree oil will be hit or miss; but when I do add in a salicylic acid product (which helps to clear out blocked pores) for a few days and then use tea tree oil, it almost always works for me. If you haven't tried tea tree oil but you're interested in an all-natural antiseptic oil that won't stain your sheets (like benzoyl peroxide) or is contraindicated in pregnancy (all other acne prescriptions) give tea tree oil a shot!

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Kirkland Signature Hydrating Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
hoku 2/24/2012 9:30:00 PM

I can't truly comment on price and buy again since I used this only once at my boyfriend's house... I used this as a cleansing conditioner. I have tried WEN in the past and now use silicone-free/sulfate-free conditioners to do the same thing for much cheaper. I was at my boyfriend's house and in the shower and I did a quick check on the ingredients and deemed it to be silicone-free, so I used it in a pinch. Performance as a cleansing conditioner: I felt this did a great job of cleansing my scalp and hair while leaving it very moisturized after. I used 1 pump of the conditioner and massaged into my wet scalp with a little water and combed it to the ends. My hair was left soft, shiny, and hydrated. It was very manageable, and even looked great a good 24 hrs later, which almost never happens! Packaging: Very handy with the pump, especially with a bottle that size. I can imagine that it would get hard to use every last bit though, so I am still in favour of flip cap lids so that I can store the bottle upside down. Minus 1 lippie. Scent: Unfortunately, the smell of this product is my least favourite point. I really am not a fan. Minus 1 lippie. So there you have it -- it's good, but I wouldn't buy it because I do not enjoy the smell, which is a big factor for me.

Conditioner -Suave - Suave Naturals Conditioner, Refreshing Tangerine,
rated 5 of 5
hoku 2/11/2012 3:40:00 PM

Overall: 5 Price: 1 (I got it for $0.99 on sale) Packaging: 3 Buy again: yes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Like the reviewer below, I also use this for CO washing. I read that the two most recommended conditioners for CO washing were Tresemme Naturals and Suave Naturals. I had tried Tresemme and it was "ok" but not great. I have fine, straight hair and not a lot of volume, and I get an oily scalp that requires washing everyday. With conventional shampoo/conditioner sure my hair would look good but would feel dry and brittle, and the next morning it would be an oily, disgusting mess. When I used to wash my hair I would lose LOTS of hair. When I heard about CO washing I was intrigued -- it was a very similar idea to WEN cleaning conditioners that I've seen on TV. I had actually tried WEN before and didn't really like it because it weighed down my hair. I use about 1 palmful of this conditioner and massage into my wet hair and scalp for a minute or two, and then leave it on while I shower, and rinse it out at the end. WOW! This stuff is GREAT for CO washing. My hair is left clean (who would've thought?) not greasy at all, light, bouncy, soft, tangle-free, not dried out, and shiny. When I CO wash I'm not sure if I lose less hair or not, but I feel like the hair that is still on my head is stronger and "plumper" or thicker, which is a good thing for me since my hair is very fine. I like the smell of it, because it's refreshing, but not overpowering. When I smell my hair after blow drying, you can't detect a "tangerine" smell, it only smells clean, which I'm perfectly fine with. Packaging wise, it is in a 444 mL squeeze bottle with a flat top, which I like, since you can store the bottle upside down when you start to run low. The plastic bottle is a soft plastic that is easy to squeeze, making it handy especially in the wet shower. I love that this conditioner is so affordable. I got mine for $1 on sale. I don't CO wash all the time (I still wash daily), but I try to CO wash 1-2 days in a row before using conventional shampoo and conditioner (just to clarify and remove any buildup). All in all I highly recommend this stuff!
