Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Color Sensational Sugared Honey

This is a nice lipgloss, and i agree with all the comments listed below. Its a cool toned, slightly frosty, with silver shimmer, but its not overly shiny. This colour works for me.. its kinda nude like and just gives me a MLBB look. it goes on smooth, and its not sticky and its quite moisturising. My only gripe is that it doesnt last that long. I wouldnt buy it agian because i have so many lipglosses it really does borderline riduclous! hahaha and i prefer revlon lipglosses by far. ive uploaded a picture.

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash Volume Mascara

Hell yeah i would buy this again! and i dont understand why the poor reviews. when i first got it, i thought the formaula was a bit wet, and it didnt do much for me. But as the formula dried out, wow this thing is fantastic. I have shot curled asian lashes and this thing makes them look wow thick and volumunious and long! what more could a girl want? it also holds the curl! the briush is not your typical brush, its a plastic brush, but i find it does a great job and is easy to work with. I agree with another reader that after a long day it does smudge at the bottom of the eyes, so I take one lippie off. other than that, i will definetly repurchase!

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Crease

Omg on my elusive hunt for the crease brush for my Vietnamese biggish eyes I finally caved after listening to EmilyNoel and Makeupgeek and bought these brushes. I had previously been using my trusty Laura mercier and Gloss crease brush and although I was happy with them I still struggled to achieve the perfect blended out smoky look, actually any look. I seem to never be able to really work my crease as well as my makeup gurus. I thought it was me, my technique but alas it was the tools all along! The first time I used this I made the perfect smokey eye so easily! My eyes looked they had been done professionally! Wow! I was so shocked I though it just have been a fluke, but no ! I've been using it daily and day after day, I get a perfect eye look. This brush has saved my eyes looks, it picks up the perfect amount of colour and blends like a dream. I can make a cheap eyeshadow look good with this brush, they how good it its the perfect size for my eyes, and its fantastic to blend out me crease but also when I want to add that small bit of shadow in your crease V to give you're eye depth! Lets not forget the little small brush, its is perfect for smudging the bottom of your eye. I'll admit when I first saw this in the mail I was like Wtf ? they were so short, and didnt look as nice as my other high end brushes. Even the amount of hair was so skinny and small compared to all the other crease brushes, but I think they suit Asian eyes really well! And the price,I think I paid about $12 including shipping. Bargain for 2 brushes that I will continue to use forever! Love you essence of beauty crease brush! Buy it!

Lip Gloss -Boots - No7 High Shine Lip Gloss
rated 4 of 5

Boots suck you in big time... you spend 10 pounds or something and then you get a damn voucher to spend on Boots cosmetics :P Yes im a sucker and I got sucked in on holidays. But i think Boots products are really good. Loved the eyeliner and the eyebrow pencils. Love the nail polish, love the highlighter and the green color corrector i got. So when I had to use up my last voucher at the airport i tried out their lipgloss and i bought "Lust" and its a a beautiful gold red with some shimmer. the lipgloss, isnt too sticky, goes on smoothly, its richly pigmented and very glossy. I find it very moisturing and it lasts as good as any other lip gloss. The only thing im not that big of a fan of is the applicator. Its a brush, and I always prefer a doe foot. But its not a killer I would buy more colours if only they sold Boots in Australia! Also has really nice packaging :)

Tinted Moisturizer -Aveeno - positively radiant
rated 4 of 5
hoangrl 12/5/2011 9:26:00 PM

I'm not understanding why this product gets such negative reviews. First off, this is not a foundation so you can't expect every color shade and you can't expect full coverage either! i bought this off ebay, and it think it cost me AUS$15. this product has only finally come to Australia and its $23 in the shop for 70mls? talk about pricey, and its only in SPF15 too. The one i got is SPF 30. First off, i really like this, for a tinted mosituriser it gives very good coverage! My skin isnt terrrible, and I hate wearing liquid foundation. I either wear mineral foundation or tinted mosituriser just to even out my skin tone and hide the minor imperfections. But I find this gives me very good coverage me and it really does even out my skin tone. It also has this shimmer in it, it's not bad and you face doesn't look liek a glitter bomb. It just gives your skin this dewy sort of glowing look I like. I also find it matches my skin tone really well! After i put it on, I set it with some powder and put on a very light bronzer and i look nice and glowy:) I get alot of compliments when i where this moisturiser. The one thing i dont like about it besides the high price, is the texture. I feels really thick when I rub it on my face making it hard to blend. So what I do is pump out 2 -3 pumps of AVeeno and 1 small pump of Oil of Olay. This makes the moisturiser easier to blend and smoother texture. Overall it doesn't leave a cakey feeling like a heavy duty foundation so that is a good thing. Another thing i like is the pump, very hygienic and 1-2 pumps suffices for me. I would buy this again, but im going to see if i can buy it on ebay for less... $22 is a ridiculous amount for a supermarket/drugstore brand. Aveeno must be raking it in!

Concealers -Maybelline - Fit Me
rated 4 of 5
hoangrl 11/30/2011 8:47:00 PM

I like this concealer alot and agree with alot of the other reviewers here. For me this is a great under eye concealer, it goes on smoothly and it really covers the circles well. But on blemishes, not so well. But i have pretty ok skin, so i don't really use it for that. the consistency is very smooth, sheer but very buildable. i like this for under eye circles better than the maybelline mousse concealer. I also had some bruising on my nose from some "filler" procedure and this concealer did a better job covering up the bruising than the mousse. I don't mind the doe-foot applicator but I'm not sure how I would get the rest of the product when I'm running low. But seriously who runs out of concealer?? this thing will last me ages and i use it pretty much everyday! I tried a few stick type concealers before i bought this and i noticed they just don't work for me or give me the under eye concealer that I want. I really prefer liquidy concealers. I got this for $10 in Australia and it was on special. I will buy again when I run out.

Bronzers -Maybelline - Maybelline Bronzer - SunLight
rated 3 of 5
hoangrl 11/21/2011 6:54:00 PM

I know people say this is a really crap bronzer because its not pigmented, but i actaully dont mind it. Its sheer it true, but quite buidlable to an extent. I like it because some bronzers are too shimmery or they just make me look to dark. This gives me a very subtle glow and I like that. I actually use it to set my tinted moisturizer or over my mineral powder. I do have to swirl my brush in it quite a bit to get a decent amount on my brush but hey, it was $5, cant complain. There is very very small amount of shimmer, but it does nto show up on the skin which is a bonus because i cant stand sparkly bronzers. The product is very compacted hard and i think this is what is the problem with the bronzer, its not a soft product so that why you really need to swirl your brush into it to make a difference. The pakaging like most maybelline products is crapola. A flimsy plastic lid and crappy brush which i threw out. I really think Maybelline really needs to start improving their packaging line. Anyway this bronzer isnt for everyone and usualy i would say buy it, but for this I will say, save your dollars and look at getting another bronzer with more pigmentation.

Eye Shadow -Sleek - i-Divine Palette - Oh So Special
rated 5 of 5
hoangrl 11/11/2011 12:43:00 AM

I bought this after seeing a few reviews on you tube and on MUA. i bought Oh So Special on ebay for something like $15 including postage. I was a bit meh when i opened it and saw the colours. But after playing around with it, I really like the quality and colours of tthis palette. There are these 2 pinkish shimmery colours and i dont think i have ever used much colours like that, but they look great on. Im wearing one of those pinky colour on my lids and the matte darker brown on my crease. The pigmentation on these is very good, and they go on very smoohtly. I also find they blend very well too. Staying power is alright, i use primer and they havent creased or smudged. The colour is true to what u see as well which is really good! Because i have the wet n wild comfort zone palette, and I hate that the colours u see isnt the same as what you put on your eye! The palette well constructed and i really like the slim back packaing. It doesnt look cheap! Love the mirror, but the sponge tip brush I threw out. I like the mix of colours, very neutral day and glammed nights can be achieved. there is a mix of matte and shimmery. I also have used alot of the darker colours as an eyeliner and they work well. I will play more and experiment with this palette more and really compare them to MAC to let you guys know, but so far so good.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Moisture Extreme in Windsor Rose
rated 5 of 5
hoangrl 11/4/2011 3:42:00 AM

Why such bad comments for such a nice lipstick? I think i got this lipstick for $4 at Coles as it was being discontinued. I wish now i bought more colours! This is a really nice pink that makes my lips pop! its matte, creamy and moisturising. Its also not sheer, its quite opaque and give your lips this beautiful creamy pink colour. Big ticks for me. I think this lippy colour is great for a natural, and for day wear. I dont think its lippy cool toned at all, its definetly not frosty, to me its kind of warm. I have a revlon one thats similar in colour and its nowhere near as as good as this maybelline one. As for staying power, its not to bad. I usualy wear a light pink gloss over it and it stays pretty well maybe 1-2 hours. Pair this lippy with a clear or light pink gloss and looks positively gorgoues!!! I just worked out with it on with a hard boxing session. At the end my lips are stained this really nice pink colour. Usually I would say go out and buy it, but this has been discontinued. But if you see it at an outlet, go get it!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre
rated 5 of 5
hoangrl 11/1/2011 5:09:00 AM

I have always like Revlosn super lustrous glosses. My frist one was a clear shimmery one i got with a magazine. From then i have tried out heaps of other lipglosses from different low and high end brands and these ones are up there with my high end ones. Revlons formula is so much better than Laura merciers. Nude Lustre came in a 4 pack (the duty free packs you get on the plane). Only lately have I noticed what a fab lipgloss this is. The colour is the perfect rosy nude. I wear this over Revlons Super Lustrous lipstick in Rose and Shine and they complement each other perfectly. This also looks great on its own too. The formula isnt too sticky, its moisturising, shiny , lasts a decent amount of time and its well priced. I highly recommend, go buy it!

Brows -Boots - no7 Beautiful Brows Pencil
rated 5 of 5
hoangrl 11/1/2011 2:35:00 AM

best eyebrow pencil ever. Its the only one i have ever owned and will continue to buy. Its so easy to apply, i use feather light strokes to fill in my brows and if its too harsh, then i just soften up the look with the brush at the end. The brush is really handy when i need to tame my brows :) This pencil has lasted me about 3 years and i use it pretty much daily. Only sharpened it about 5 times! Best of all I think it got it with a promo deal at Boots. i love Boots pharmacy, i wish they opened one up in Australia!

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick - Rose & Shine
rated 5 of 5
hoangrl 11/1/2011 12:14:00 AM

I bought this as part of a 9 pack. Of all the 9 colours, i think i didnt like 3 of them, but the rest of them i really like! This one is gorgeous. its a warm dusky pink rose with a hint of brown. its a pearl finish so it has a shimmer finish, but its not overly shimmerly. This lipstick goes on sheer, and really looks great on me, because its MLBB. This would really suit fair to med skin tones. Im vietnamese and this looks lovely on me.I top it off with a revlon super lustrous lipgloss in nude lustre and it looks fab :) The only down point is it doesnt have the best staying power and its not that mositurising. It is also quite sheer but u can build it up. Love it, go buy it if your asian and you want a MLBB look.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Define-A-Line Eyeliner in Ebony Black
rated 1 of 5
hoangrl 10/2/2011 11:12:00 AM

I bought this years ago when it came out. Back then it was a great liner, soft, a very thin tip (not the same as it is now) and it didnt smudge. I bought it again because i had a voucher. wow bad mistake, maybelline chnaged the formula and this thing sucks. Yes its really soft and goes on so well, but within an hour dark circles under my eyes and its smudges and within a few hours you look like a racoon and its all come off. The only want to make this liner work is when i brush some dark powder over it, then it kind of sets it, but thats an extra task i dont want to do. DOnt buy, its its crap and not worth it. There are better eyeliners out there.. My all time fave is AUstralis!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"
rated 3 of 5
hoangrl 9/30/2011 2:08:00 PM

Again I got sucked into the hype and i should have realised not to do it again. I wasn't that impressed with the 6 colour icon palettes, I mean they are okay, but i cant make the purple one work for me without looking all bruised. The blue 6 colour one is nice and the neutral one is pretty good too. See my previous review. When this came in the mail, I thought man this looks better in the picture. After playing around with the colours, they are ok. The number 2 colour like in the picture is the colour i dislike the most. Its a copper colour but its got red undertones and on my skin it looks like im an indian then painted her eyes with a red shadow, so not a good colour for me. The other shades are quite good, but i find the 3rd and 4th colour on the RHS (a greenish and a bluish) colour are really dark and can end up looking black on me. I need a really light hand and a tiny amount of product. The light browbone colour is nice, and the taupe browbone colour excellent. I use that colour all oer my eyelid. the eyeshdows are pigmented dont get me wrong, they are soft and buttery like everyone has said. BUt i dont know, when i swatch on my hand they look wow, but then on my eyes not meh! I think its because i find with this palette, there is too many red undertones in about 4 of the colors and that doesnt suit me. Still the price is quite decent for 8 colours. They would ideally suit someone on a budget and someone starting out in makeup. I paid about $12 because im in Australia and i pay more on ebay! I am trying not to get sucked in buying anything else from WNW, because to me they dont live up to the hype. l really should have spent my money on a mac palette.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Powder Brush

hoangrl 9/30/2011 12:18:00 PM

great brush, i think i paid about $6 on it off ebay including postage. I live in Australia but we dont get ELF here and i saw all the rave reviews on makeupalley. I use this to apply my mineral foundation. Does and excellent job. The bristles are dense and thick and soft! i like the ergononmic handle. This is a a great product at a great price. I dont use it to apply liquid foundation, but for mineral foundation its perfect! Buy it, this brush is fabulous!
