I use this dry, and it has very good coverage. I would recommend this for anyone who likes a powder foundation. I tried once applying it with a damp sponge, and just didn't like it that well. And it's so much easier to put it on with a dry brush. They could offer more colors though. Not much selection.
Powder -Bare Escentuals - Feather Light Mineral Veil

Great product. Sets my foundation all day, and isn't drying for people like me with dry skin. Would recommend this highly, and it goes so well over Bare Escentuals' mineral foundation.
This is a fabulous mineral foundation!! I love it. It can be a little pricey, so I really hunt for good deals on the internet to buy it. Would highly recommend this proudct. Beautiful finish, nice coverage.
Powder -Alison Raffaele - Mineral Powder Foundation

Simply put, this mineral foundation just doesn't cover, although it would make a nice powder over a liquid foundation. I bought number 3 which turned orange on me. Sephora's was very nice about taking it back.
I loved this product because it goes on so smoothly and stays on. I have dry skin and it works well for me. I can't believe how inexpensive it is for the quality it has. I would recommend this product highly.
This was an okay product, but I'm not sure it was worth the price. I felt the colors were very limited. It goes on lightly and is never chalky. However, it's just not that terrfic for anyone with dry skin.
Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder

I almost like this foundation, but it has a huge drawback. It has NO sunblock, which is crazy in this day and age. I did like the color choices, though. I would buy it again, if it only had at least some protection from the sun.
Powder -Merle Norman - Luxiva Ultra Powder Foundation
hersheyb 11/26/2006 8:19:00 AM
I love this foundation. I usually wear it over a liquid foundation for better coverage though. Merle Norman is such a good line, I've been using it for over 40 years!! This powder foundation is never chalky looking. I'm fair, but like a bit of color, so "Buff" is a good color for me.
Powder -Sheer Cover - Sheer Cover - Mineral Foundation

This product is WAY overpriced, when you consider how little you get and how often they send it to you. I was very suprised at how much more it cost than Bare Escentuals. The coverage was fine, I just didn't think it was anything special. I have dry skin, and it did work for me in that regard. I'm fair, but "Buff" worked the best for me.
I really can't say I liked this product. I have dry skin, but usually have no problems with mineral pressed powders. However, I felt this one was dry and chalky. I bought the "Light" shade, and I look like a ghost in it. I did like their other color products for the face.
Powder -Neutrogena - mineral sheers mineral powder foundation-fair to light

Terrible stuff. Went on in streaks, and the colors were just awful. I was surprised, since I usually like this product line. I thought the application was pretty awful too, hard to get the powder to come of the applicator without a lot of shaking.
Powder -Jane Iredale - Amazing Base Loose Finishing Powder

I just went nuts trying to find the right shade. The pressed powder seems to go on lighter than the loose poweder. I paid $48 for mine, and bought it at one of their spas. When I got in the light, I realized that the color they picked out for me was totally wrong. And they refused to take it back for an exchange even with my receipt. Their store had poor lighting. I would buy the pressed poweder again, but only from the web on ebay. It's nearly half the price and brand new. I will NEVER go into one of their spas again.
Powder -Shiseido - The Makeup Powdery Foundation SPF 15
hersheyb 11/26/2006 8:05:00 AM
I really like this product. It gives fairly good coverage. Be careful though. It's easy to use too much and then wind up looking somewhat chalky. It was a little expensive, $35 with the compact. But at least you can buy refills, which cuts down the price to about $27 for just the powder.
This product just didn't give me enough coverage. I felt it was a little drying for my dry and senstive skin. I had to use a lot to get any coverage at all. I had laser surgery, so I'm very red and sensitive. If you ever find yourself in this situation, try Colortration mineral poweder, pressed. It was the only thing that worked for me.

Hands down, this is the most beautiful eyeshadow I've ever used. I love all the colors except for the one called "Terra". But I've only tried all of the matte versions. In fact, I love this product so much I tossed out all my Lancome eyeshadows to make room for these new ones. They go on so smoothly, stays on all day, and they have a wonderful finish.
