Liquid -Paul & Joe - Fluid foundation

I'm reviewing for the protective fluid foundation with spf25. The design of the bottle itself is beautiful and practical. The small nozzle allows for getting out small amount of product. This foundation has very sheer coverage which is not enough to cover my acne scars at all.I have oily skin and this foundation feels oily though it's actually runny.I also oil up faster when I use this. Will finish using my bottle but will not repurchase.

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Pack
rated 1 of 5

They changed the packaging and the formulation. While the new version doesn't stink my face like the old one does, its hydrating ability seems to have disappeared together with the stinking. Unlike the old version, my face doesn't feel hydrated and pumped. I also developed a few bumps each time after I use the mask.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Muji - Cleansing Oil
rated 5 of 5
hazefree2002 6/6/2010 12:42:00 PM

There are 2 versions, one for sensitive skin and one for normal skin, I like the one for normal skin very much. It is light in texture and feels comfortable on the skin. I am finishing my third 400mL bottle. The price is also very reasonable - 400mL for SGD$23. I found the one for sensitive skin (slightly more yellow in color) to be way too thick and oily for my liking. I bought the 200mL for this and it was a relief when I finished this and could go back to the one for normal skin. Powder -Ettusais - Medicated Acne Day Time Defense Powder
rated 5 of 5
hazefree2002 2/28/2010 8:01:00 AM

Medicated Acne Daytime Defense Light Beige is the previous version. The new version is called Acne Daytime Defense Extra in SPF9.PA++. I finished using 1 of each version. Similar to their liquid foundation and blush, it is also very suitable for acne prone skin. I choose the shade with coverage and yes, it does provide a decent amount of coverage for loose powder. However, it doesn't provide you with a glow that other loose powder may give. I do not like the packaging. It is still quite bulk despite them revising the packaging. It comes in 2 parts - the lid with the mirror and the base with the loose powder inside. The refill is the base with the loose powder itself. Retails for SGD$64 for the whole set. I can't remember the amount of product but its quite little if i recall correctly.

Liquid -Ettusais - Flat Design Liquid AC Control Oil
rated 5 of 5
hazefree2002 2/28/2010 7:56:00 AM

The new version is called Oil Free Aqua Liquid Foundation SPF18.PA++. I am almost done with my second bottle. This works very well for my acne prone, sensitive skin. It can cover acne and acne scars quite well imo. One bottle last me for around 9 months with daily usage. I always stray and then start to suffer outbreaks from using other brands. I'll always have a bottle of this. My HG. Retails for SGD$51 for 30mL.

Blush -Ettusais - Blusher

I bought it in the shade BE1. There are glitters in this particular shade. It doesn't apply well with the attached puff (results in patchy application and obvious glitter) but works okay with a brush. It doesn't aggravate acne and I like this particular shade, a bronzy type of orange. It retails for SGD$29 here. You can also opt to purchase the refill (which I highly recommend). It fits into the Stila empty palettes.

Primer/ Corrector -Shu Uemura - UV Under Base DF
rated 1 of 5
hazefree2002 2/22/2010 11:07:00 AM

Price: This is expensive, around SGD$70+ for 60g. Packaging: This comes in an aerosal type of container, to create the mousse texture for it to be dispensed. Its quite difficult to control the amount dispensed and towards the end of the usage, the product comes out in a liquid texture which is weird imo. This product is expensive as it gets used up really quickly, especially if u use it as recommended, with a sponge to even out over the entire face. As a primer, it doesn't cover up any imperfections nor even out skintone, it basically just preps your skin so that the foundation adheres better. Given the thin layer that you spread onto the face, I seriously don't think it can provide the spf as claimed. I went through 2 containers of this before venturing out to P&J primer. After running out of my trusted P&J primer, I received this in a deluxe sized sample as a GWP and decided to use it. Big mistake. For some reason, this broke me out big-time. Initially I thought it was due to hormones (happened to be that time of the month) but when the breakout got worse after my menses, I knew something else was causing it, which highly could be this. In any case, even if its not this, for the price, many could do better.

Its summer all year round in my country and this is too oily for my oily, acne-prone skin. The Gel version works much much better for me.

Cleansers -Paul & Joe - Cleansing Milk

hazefree2002 12/22/2009 10:47:00 AM

I got sample sizes to try so I can't comment on the packaging. I love the orange scent but I seriously don't think it can remove makeup well. I need to use a lot of product AND cotton pads but I still feel there are residue of makeup on my face. I think the retail price is expensive and you need to do a lot of product everytime. Definitely will not be purchasing the full-sized version.

Primer/ Corrector -Paul & Joe - FOUNDATION PRIMER
rated 5 of 5
hazefree2002 12/22/2009 10:40:00 AM

I'm reviewing for the moisturising foundation primer. I love this product. I got it initially in the fairer shade (can't remember which one) and ended up looking like a geisha. The SA was nice enough to let me exchange it to shade #02, (comes with SPF12, one of the shade doesn't come with SPF though) a beige shade which I simply love. I have a lot of redness in my cheeks due to acne. This primer evens out my skin tone and tones down the redness (could be due to the shade I chose) which I had hope green-based correctors would do. It also preps my skin nicely for foundation afterwards. I love that it is non silicone based and it feels very comfortable on the skin. It is unable to cover up acne scars (pit holes) or fine lines but what's most important for me is that it doesn't harm my skin. It cost $53 in Singapore which I think is well worth the price. The packaging, a frosted glass bottle with beige-pink cap looks pretty but poor functional wise. You can't control the amount and glass breaks. I transfer the product into another pump bottle and keep the glass bottle. I just finished my first bottle (lasted me 10 months). Definite repurchase.

Blush -Canmake - Powder Cheeks
rated 5 of 5
hazefree2002 12/22/2009 10:28:00 AM

These comes in clear little compacts. While the packaging looks cheap and the little brush is pretty muchh useless, I do like that they are compact and fits nicely into makeup pouches. Their small sizes also means they save storage space. There is a wide color selection and i'm sure everyone can find a color they like. the colors are easy to work with and are well-pigmented. The colors do not oxidised on my oily skin. However, they are not really long lasting, which is about the only drawback. They are very affordable in Asia. In Singapore, it is frequently on 20% discount in the local drugstores.

Eye Makeup Remover -Kose - Perfect Make-up Remover - Eye and Lip
rated 4 of 5
hazefree2002 12/18/2009 11:07:00 AM

It absolutely did nothing for me. Doesn't remove my mascara at all. Texture is gel-like and gentle on the skin. Great packaging too. I like the squirt bottle. BUT unfortunately the formula didn't work for me. Edited: I realised the way to make this work. Instead of putting a lot of remover (in my attempt to finish up using this), you should just squirt a line of remover on the cotton pad and place it on your lashes. By not using a lot of product, the mascara is able to grab onto the cotton pad and be removed. I will re-purchase.
