I bought the hello kitty brush collection which contained this brush, & though it isnt as high quality as the other one, it's still impressive. I use it for foundation & love it :) My skin looks flawless, which is saying something considering I have really bad acne (moderate to severe). Will buy again even though it's hecka expensive. ($43)

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly

This can be used for so much... I watched a video where celebrity makeup artist eve pearl recommended vaseline on a toothbrush to enlarge your lips (by lightly running it back & forth) I didn't think it would work, but it did actually did do a very decent job. I also use it t remove my makeup, for under my eyes, as a lipgloss, & skin moisturizer. This is a cheap way to get so many different looks. it lasts a long time too ! :)

Liquid -Cover Girl - Clean Makeup Fragrance Free [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5

When I first bought this, i was in 6th grade, & thus didn't know how to apply it correctly (pretty much just slapped it on my face without putting on a moisturizer, primer, etc) it looked horrible, cakey, fake, & broke me out. I remember after I used it I got moderate to severe acne (though it says oil free?) & saw a dermatologist. I'm left without a lot of scars, but I'm getting dermabrasion done, so hopefully it will all be cleared up :) I'd buy again now to give it another shot, just because it's so cheap & affordable. Only buy it if you know how to apply it though, otherwise you'll be making a big mistake.

Eye Shadow -Sally Girl - Glow Green

very pigmented & fun to play with. if you're the type of person who is afraid of buying expensive eyeshadows that you're only going to play around with, go with this, it will give you some good ideas. downside is that it's pretty small, & supposedly break really easily.

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer
rated 3 of 5

When I first bought this, I expected to be able to use it to cover scars & a few zits, but my MA suggested I only use it for scars, tattoos, & other marks on the skin. She was right, as it covered scars great (caked after an hour or so) but when on zits, it amplifies them immensely by first settling into lines I didn't know existed, & second, it doesn't cover the whole zit, but just the top, so you have red all around. Also, you have to warm up the concealer on the back of your hand unless you want it to go on cakey; this is a great tip I learned from my MA. Another thing, the clear lid (M.A.C lid) kept breaking off. When the lid was on, & in my bag (I live in a cold climate) it melted into a gooey mess. little hair & other gross particals stuck to it very easily, making it hard to apply without getting dirt & bacteria on your face. Another annoying factor about this, is that though it's supposed to take off excess oil, it seemed to pack more onto my skin. It may just be me, but it broke me out in a few places (not too bad, but enough to where I don't wear this that often) I give it 3 lippies for covering great, (only scars) but caking after a few hours, & the other reasons listed above.

Liquid -MAC - Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation
rated 1 of 5

Cakey, orangey, streaky, not blendable, & it broke me out on my right cheek; it's still there. I'm extremely upset with this product, & now I have acne where I've never had it before. I was told to give this product some time, & so I did, but that made it even worse.

Eye Shadow -Jordana - Eye Shadow
rated 5 of 5
hairxcore 3/1/2009 4:02:00 PM

For a while, i had a little pot of eyeshadow sitting in my bathroom, & i couldn't figure out what it was or where it came from. nonetheless, I used it for a couple of months, & I really liked it. One day while going through reviews on eye shadows, i found one on a brand called "Jordana", that I had never heard of. I read it & found out it was the eyeshadow that was still sitting in my bathroom. I also found out it was only a $1! i was amazed, because I had been using it for such a long time, loving it. if you knew me, you'd know that i almost always stick with higher quality makeup like MAC, until I came upon this brand. I love how they last all day & are VERY pigmented! (or so the one I have in amber). I will go out & buy some asap :)

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
rated 2 of 5
hairxcore 3/1/2009 2:15:00 AM

unfortunately, thiss product would be quite good if it didn't contain the unhealthy ingredient mineral oil, & a few others i won't mention. This can easily clog pores & possibly age the skin a lot faster, therefore it isn't recommended. Plus, it's quite expensive & doesn't seem to last very long before you have to repurchase it again. Sorry clinique, this product sucks.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 4 of 5
hairxcore 3/1/2009 2:11:00 AM

I really like this lip balm for the cooling sensation it gives my lips. Mine happen to be very dry & chapped most of the time, & this does a good job moisturizing them. Sure, i've found better, but most of the other 'better' ones had unhealthy ingredients such as mineral oil, therefore this was my best bet. I recommend this product to anyone & everyone with chapped lips, or who like the cooling sensation some lip balms give.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Swimming

I love this eyeshadow. i do a rainbow look that absolutely everyone loves, because of how bright & fun it is. I use this eyeshadow as the green & it looks amazing. I sort of remind myself or rainbow brite, but i really do like it a lot :) Most people would consider it too outrageous but it's absolutely GORGEOUS. it's also a pretty color to use on St patricks day as well. I've done a green & black smokey eye with this too, all which turned out nicely. Not much else I can say other than it's a pretty color to use practically any day (if it's more neutral of course, & not a rainbow look like I sometimes do)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Untitled Paint
rated 5 of 5
hairxcore 2/27/2009 8:30:00 PM

I love mac paints because you can use them for several different reasons. you can use them as eyeshadow bases, regular eyeshadow (for a little bit of shimmer) to highlight your cheeks, etc. What I like MOST about these, is that you only need a TINY amount because the oil from your fingers spreads out the product, therefore it lasts a long time. i've had mine for over a year & still have plenty left (I use it everyday if that helps). it's better than UDPP in my opinion, because you don't have to cut open the freakin bottle or take out the plastic tube thing inside of it to get more product. that's too much of a hassle for me, 7 this is much more convenient and CHEAPER in the long run! I recommend this to anyone and EVERYONE in need of an eyeshadow base, neutral or natural eyeshadow, or a highlight for their cheekbones or eyeshadow. it's great to use on the go too.

Concealers -MAC - select cover-up
rated 3 of 5
hairxcore 2/27/2009 8:25:00 PM

I have probably the darkest circles anyone could ever have, and though this does a wonderful job of covering them up, it cakes & settles into the liens under my eyes very fast, and I don't have any wrinkles because I'm only 13. Also, it has a sort of orangish tint to it, or at least the one I use (NW 20) so it looks a little clownish compared the rest of my skin. I recommend layering a light concealer over this too hide the orange, & then it should work perfectly well. Another option is to put a moisturizer underneath (I actually use one), so it doesn't cake as fast. if you use this for zits & blemishes, it may cause breakouts for those people with oily, or acne prone skin. it also tends to slide of if you don't make sure to set it with a powder. I find myself having to blot my face too, because of the oil in this. other than that it is alright. it lasts the average person 2 years, because you only need a very TINYYYY amount ! (i mean TINY!) I've had mine for a year & not even half of it is gone, & I've used it as as a foundation as well as a concealer (you can use it as a foundation only if you mix it with your moisturizer). So, it is worth the price, but make sure you get the right color.

Moisturizers -Olay - Complete with SPF 15 Lotion
rated 4 of 5
hairxcore 2/27/2009 8:17:00 PM

This is the first moisturizer I have ever used so it's hard for me to say too much about this product other than I like it a lot. When I apply it, i dampen my face with a damp wash cloth, & rub this on all over, so it locks in the moisture, otherwise you're just putting lotion on your face which doesn't moisturizer the skin very well. it's great to put underneath foundation so it doesn't cake or flake, & I also use it for under my concealer as well. I wish the SPF would be higher, but I guess 15 is good ENOUGH. I recommend this product to anyone just starting out with moisturizers, because it's reasonably priced & works well. It's also fairly thin, so it's hard to apply too much.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - expertwear eyeshadow in night sky
rated 1 of 5
hairxcore 2/27/2009 8:01:00 PM

This eyeshadow is horrible. When I first started using this I hadn't used a base, & instead used concealer. this mistake resulted in very black under eyes, that i have never ever ever ever ever gotten. When I started using UDPP, it wasn't as bad, but I had very bad fallout & smudges at the corners of my eyes. Sure, it seems cheap, but the problem is, is that you have to retouch it up so often that you end up going through it very fast & therefore have to buy it again. i spent $12 over a period of about 6 months because of the amount I had to go through. I didn't have the money to buy high quality eyeshadow because I am too young to have a job, but now I know it's worth it to buy high quality makeup such as MAC's carbon. it will last longer & the results are 3x better. trust me, you will not regret it! Also, it faded within two periods of school (an hour & a half). I check in the mirror to see the results & It looked like a light gray. people were asking me if it was a black or a gray eyeshadow because it looked so funky. I was pretty embarrassed to see my once perfect eyeshadow turn into just about no eyeshadow at all. not worth $4. The packaging was also pretty bad because the eyeshadow cracked easily, & it got on my carpet & is still there. It sucks because I had to sit & scrub it out & even had to get a deep cleaning vacuum cleaner (the kind that uses water & soap too), & not even that worked. I'm going to have to end up paying for the carpet now.
