Makeup Brushes -La Mer - Powder Brush

Although the brush is expensive, it lived up to its value. It's a great portable powder brush. Feels great on the face! The brush can also be a blush brush. A neat little thing, I love carrying it around.

Mascara -Paul & Joe - Mascara Duo
fiona82 10/18/2007 2:45:00 PM
I think this mascara is good for people on the go, or people that don't like carrying different mascaras for different effects. I carry this in my purse because it's volume + long in one. I like the comb-brush for volume side, but the brush for long side is kinda scary. It has a lot of fiber sticking out, and the mascara sort of clumps. Usually I use the long side first, then use the comb-brush of volume to separate the lashes. The packaging is cute, but I wouldn't buy it again since there are probably cheaper and better alternatives.

Concealers -Ettusais - Medicated Acne Concealer (Oil Free)
fiona82 6/25/2007 9:00:00 PM
I love this concealer! I use it to cover pimples that are not too serious. It can also cover light scars and blemishes. I remember I got lots of bug bites on my face after I went to Cambodia. I used this concealer to cover the bites, and didn't irritate them at all. Definitely would buy this again.

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Mentholatum Sun Play SPF 30 PA++ Sensitive Skin/Baby Mild
fiona82 6/25/2007 8:51:00 PM
Finally I come upon a sunscreen that doesn't make my face look oily. My face is very sensitive, and it gets stung by all the sunscreens I've used in the past. This sunscreen is true to its name. The only drawback is that it makes me look too white after I applied it. So it looks weird if I don't apply it on my body. I got it in Taiwan for about $3 USD. I would stock up next time I go back.

Masks -Biotherm - Source Therpie Mask
fiona82 6/25/2007 8:35:00 PM
I saw very good reviews on magazine and decided to try it. Biotherm has already discontinued the product, and I was lucky to find the last one. The formula is very rich and my skin feels smoother after using it. I also use the leftovers on my body. It's one of the best masks I've ever used. Too bad it's discontinued =(

Toners -Biotherm - Biosensitive Calming Thermal Spring Spray
fiona82 6/25/2007 8:30:00 PM
I bought it hoping it will alleviate my redness. But nothing happens, my face doesn't feel calmed or anything. I still finished the whole bottle, but I won't buy it again.

Primer/ Corrector -Bloom - Makeup Base
fiona82 6/25/2007 8:16:00 PM
This is my first make-up primer. Besides the fact it smells nice, I don't see anything special about it. There's small grains of something in there, I don't know. But I could feel the "thing" every time I put it on. The pump for some reason stopped working, so I had to open the cap every time to pour it out. Maybe I got the bad bottle. I want to try a corrective make-up base, so I probably won't buy this again.

Masks -Biotherm - Hydra Detox Mask

Mine was a free gift, and I feel so lucky that I didn't spend a penny on this product. I didn't feel anything special after using this. Just a very normal mask.

Liquid -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Foundation
fiona82 6/25/2007 7:59:00 PM
This is a decent liquid foundation. I got the medium shade, which is a little too dark for me. So I mix it with Biotherm Light Drop to make it lighter, and for a pearlescent glow. The foundation gives sheer coverage and looks natural. I probably wouldn't buy it again, since there's only 3 shades to select from.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Expert Eyes in Dark Brown
fiona82 6/25/2007 7:47:00 PM
This eyeliner is easy to apply, and doesn't hur my eyes. It glides smoothly over my eye lid, and the sponge tip on the other end can smear the line and make it look smoky. The only complain is that it doesn't stay long, since I have oily eye lids.

Sunscreen -DDF - Moisturizing Photo-Age Protection SPF 30
fiona82 6/25/2007 7:00:00 PM
This is the first sunscreen I didn't purchase from a drugstore. I really hated it because it starts flaking when I'm not even done putting it on. I thought it's something wrong with my skin type, but I realized I'm not alone after reading the reviews. I don't know how I managed to finish the whole bottle. I am definitely not buying this again.

Toners -Clean & Clear - Deep Cleaning Astringent
fiona82 6/25/2007 6:45:00 PM
I have combination and sensitive skin, and this toner is very irritating. Right when I read its label, I knew I had to stay away from it. It has alcohol listed as its second ingredient. My face got really dry and red. I stopped using it the second day I got it. It's still in my cabinet, I don't know what to do with it.

Cleansers -Kose - Sekkisei White Powder Wash
fiona82 6/25/2007 6:35:00 PM
My first powder face wash... does last a long time. Honestly, I don't feel anything special about it. And I don't think its whitening ingredients get to work before get wash down the drain. It's a decent cleanser, but I doubt how effective it is in terms of whitening. It gets clumped due to humidity of bathroom, so I have to shake it up once awhile. One thing I don't like about powder face wash is that I usually breathe in powder when I pour it out. So I have to hold my breath.

Toners -Kose - Sekkisei Clear Lotion
fiona82 6/22/2007 8:47:00 PM
I don't know how it got its fame. First I bought it hoping for some whitening result, since it claimed to be the most effective whitening lotion for 20 years. If you use too much, the alcohol smell can be very strong. I bought Kose's compressed mask and I use it with Sekkisei. Once I poured too much, and the alcohol stung my eyes. I'm still using it just for the sake of my money. By the way, that compressed mask and cotton pads are a big rip off. You can buy generic compressed mask at a cheaper price in Asia. And cotton pads are $5 for 30 pcs. The cotton pad is too big for my entire face. So I tried cutting it in half, but half-size is too small. Plus, I didn't feel any differenct between that cotton pad and others. So what a waste of money.
