This stuff works! Normally I use my beloved Mac cleansing oil which was the only way to get rid of my extremly difficult to remove waterproof mascara. I was really afraid to try this cold cream because I was sure it would clog my pores and do nothing to cleanse my sensitive eye area but boy- I was so wrong! Removing my stubborn mascara is a breeze. It is even better than the cleansing oil! And no breakouts, just soft and lovely clean skin. After I massaged the cream, I foam it up with doves lemongrass beauty bar and wash it off with Kanebos Sponge Chief. Give this a try, it is a very cheap reliable classic! Update: After using this for several weeks now I can report that I didn't have any breackouts! Yaaaaay! Will never ever have to buy the lovely but superexpensive Mac Oil again!
Concealers -Bare Escentuals - Well-Rested For Eyes

This product seems to polarize a lot. Did abolutely nothing for my undereye circles except making them look chalky and obvious (Nc 25) Don't waste your money on this. I bought LauraMerciers Secret Brightening Powder and am quite happy with it as it doesn't settle into fine lines and gives a very sutle but lovely soft brightening effect.
Moisturizers -Clarins - Multi Intensive Super Restorative Night Wear
esmeralda1977 5/25/2012 8:50:00 PM
I first got a sample to avoid an investion that I would regret. I have used this for several weeks now and let me tell you that it's the best moisturizer that I have ever bought. Why? Because I looked better the next day! My lines were smoothed and my face looked luminous and younger. Glad that I believed all the reviewers here because this cream is SO worth it. I use vitamin c serum or Estee Lauders advanced night repair as a serum, put this on top and sometimes I will put neutrogena's healthy skin night cream only on my nose to reduce blackheads (you don't get any wrinkles on your nose anyways:) ). I was really starting to worry about my wrinkles now that I'm in my 30 because I started using sunscreen relatively late, smoked several years and led a stressful life but this stuff really helped to erase a good amount of the sins of my youth :)
Sunscreen -Bioderma - Bioderma Photoderm Max Tinted Cream SPF 50+
esmeralda1977 5/13/2012 6:00:00 PM
This sunscreen gave my face a beautiful glow, blended in very nicely and gave my complexion a tiny little bit of colour while neutralizing the redness around my nose and even luminizing dark undereye circles. The only downside for me at this point of time was that the sunscreen did sting a little bit when I rubbed it in close to my eyes but I was willing to tolerate that because of the beautiful result. It could have been my perfect sunscreen solution if, yes if, my honeymoon hadn't ended up in a nightmare two days later. Three HUGE painful monstrous pimples deep under several skin layers appeared on the left side of my face under my cheekbones. My husband asked me whether I was sure that it wasn't the measles (no, he wasn't joking). Stopped using this immediately and am now recovering slowly from my reaction. In general my combination skin is not sensitive at all, but I guess there was something in this chemical sunscreen that my skin absolutely hated and rejected. Back to my reliabe tinted LRP Antehelios SPF 50!!!
Hair Styling Tools -Remington - T-Studio Pearl Curling Wand
esmeralda1977 5/9/2012 4:12:00 PM
As far as I can see this curling iron is excellent! I bought the Sultra bombshell curling iron which is fantastic but is so much more expensive than this one. I will update soon after I have tested it for a while but I really like the wand because it's lighter and therefore easier to handle. The main difference is that it doesn't get as freakingly hot as the Sultra one and the curls are a little bit smaller, especially at the tips. If you wanted to buy the Sultra get this one first and see how it works for you! Update: unfortunately, this made my hair ends pretty frizzy after using this wand several times. My number 1 for curling is still my trustworthy GHD which I bought several years ago, followed by the sultra curling iron. Buy this curling iron if you don't want to invest to much money and if you only use it for special occasions.
Treatments -Derma E - DMAE - Alpha Lipoic - C Ester Retexturizing Creme

I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it didn't moisturize well and the amoint of blackheads on my nose grew exponentially within 3 days. I will use it on my neck and cleavage but sadly I can't use it on my combination skin anymore. However, the texture is lovely and I can't say anything negative about the scent.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure - Shell We Dance
esmeralda1977 3/25/2012 10:26:00 PM
OMG, the most beautiful clean and office appropriate polish I have ever worn! Looks so elegant because of the slight lavender undertone. My hands do look more tan (I'm an NC 25-30) with this polish on. The brush is fantastic, really foolproof. The polish dries fast and no streaking whatsoever. 2 coats last 4-5 days without chipping. My nailtips look whiter and almost as if I had a french manicure.
For my fine, straight, long and slightly greasy hair this is the best shampoo I have ever used. Full stop. It is not cheap but I always let it soak in 10 minutes in the shower to get the best cleansing results so I don't have to use it everytime I wash my hair. It produces a soft cushiony lather that doesn't dry out my hair and leaves it incredibly soft and shiny. I do believe that it takes away all the residues that cause dullness. Since I use this shampoo, my hair is weightless and holds curls so much easier after I use my Ghd iron because it is really clean and nothing weighs it down. Once again, the hype is true and I have found a new HG, thanks to MUA :)
Bronzers -Chanel - Bronze Universel De Chanel Sun Illuminator
esmeralda1977 3/25/2012 5:03:00 PM
Love at first sight! A HG that I use everyday! I couldn't buy it in my country, so I asked my brother-in-law to buy it for me at the airport. I was really afraid that I would buy something unseen and it would turn out orange or muddy but let me tell you: if I had to choose 3 products from my huge make up kit, it would be this one, concealer and mascara. This takes away the ghostly paleness that I have in the morning and gives me such a healthy natural glow with so little effort. I apply the hard cream with my Mac 187 brush and within 1 minute I look like a normal being. The good thing is, that I can never go overboard with the colour, even if it's still dark in the morning without daylight I never have to worry that I applied too much colour. What I also love about it is, that I can use up so many of my foundations that run too light. A layer of this warms up the colour and gives a soft focus bronze glow without looking cakey or fake. If you are after a very natural, no make up, soft bronzy polished look this will become your HG too.
This is a lovely peachy beige nude that goes well with my NC 25-30 skin. The package is very cheap but if the colour suits me I'm fine with that.
This product is just fantastic and a brilliant timesaver. In my opinion, the key to good looking hands is soft skin around the nails. To achieve this, I had to reapply handcream at least twice a day and I hated how I had to wait for the cream to sink in before I could work with them again. This stuff solved this problem so fast within 1-2 days! It really literally erases my old dry cuticles and the hard skin around the nails and makes my hands look perfectly manicured. I am so glad I found this fast working convenient cream because I always hated how I had to redo my manicure although my nailpolish still looked alright. The return of the cuticle is over! :)
I would have never believed it but this really does make a huge difference. I am even willing to pay the high price for it plus international shipping because it is so worth it. Even my hubby commented on my brighter looking teeth. I like the original mint the most because it is mild and refreshing. Haven't experienced any sensitivity although I have extremly sensitive teeth. If you dream of whiter teeth and have been disappointed by Plus White or Whitestrips like me give this a try.
Unfortunately, this did not help my makeupmto look better. Quite the opposite my akin looked a little bit waxy after spraying this on. Maybe it is more suitable for dry skin.
I am really sad because I wanted to love this expensive selftanner and I have wasted a lot of money but only by experience you find the perfect ST. The truth is this one left me with the most horrible orangey saffron (!!!) color for 2 days. I am NC 25 and have never had this kind of tone and I have tried St Tropez, Clarins, Lancome, etc. My ABSOLUTE favourite is Sun Labs, at first sight very similar to Faux Tan but the results are worlds apart. Maybe it's mainly my body chemistry.
Self Tanners -SUN Laboratories - Dark Sunsation Lotion
esmeralda1977 10/25/2011 6:26:00 AM
Ladies, this is it! I have tried many selftanners, including St. Tropez, Fake Bake, St. Moritz, Clarins, L'Oreal which weren't too bad but still in some lighting looked a little bit unnatural, a touch too orange. I even tested the highly-rated Faux Tan by Bare Essentials that unfortunately left me with a saffron color. Enter Sun Labs in Very Dark: After thorough exfoliation with my japanese Salux cloth I moisturize my ellbows and knees and put on the lotion with a tanning mitt. The next day I wake up with a saturated nut brown that looks absolutely natural and believe me, I am extremely picky on the colour of selftanners. I don't want anyone to detect my fake tan and this gives me such an authentic colour that I can't believe it myself. I also put on a little bit of lotion on my sephora mineral powder brush and buff it onto the cheekbones and where the sun naturally would tan my face. Man, do I look sunkissed the next morning! It doesn't break me out and doesn't interfere with my EL Advanced Night Repair Serum. The lotion moisturizes my skin extremely well so that it looks radiant and glowy. I make sure that I exfoliate well everything time I shower and put on a good moisturizer afterwards. Even with daily exfoliation my tan lasts about 5 days. I am so thankful that I don't have to take the risk of damaging my skin anymore but can have a beautiful realistic tan. This can bring me from NC 25 to NC 35 with 2 applications in a row and I could even intensify it even more but I don't want to go over board. They sell a small sized bottle of 4 oz so you can test it without the risk of investing into the full size. And I think with selftanners you always have to test how your skin reacts to the lotion and how the color turns out.
