Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

This is definitely my HG foundation. The coverage is amazing; and it lasts a good 10 hours. I have this in the oily/combination formula and I don't have to blot again until 5-6 hours later. It's great when I have a full day of classes - from 8 AM to 9 PM, when I'm running around like crazy and don't have time to re-apply or fix my makeup. And surprisingly for a high coverage foundation, it doesn't cause me to break out and covers my redness well. I will definitely repurchase when I run out (which doesn't seem to be anytime soon, and I use it also daily for three months so far!)

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Gunmetal

I brought this when Rite Aid was having a 50% off sale. I really love silver and gray polishes, so this color was right up my alley. I just finished painting my nails with this color - it really is a nice metallic grey with a blue tint. The polish was a little runny though, but nothing you can't fix. But overall, the polish goes on opaque and really smooth. I absolutely love Sally Hansen polishes (I just wish they didn't use animal testing.)

Lipstick -Revlon - Revlon Matte-Pink Pout
rated 5 of 5

Pink Pout is a gorgeous baby pink color with lilac undertones. I have very fair Asian skin, and this lipstick is a barbie pink on me. It absolutely gorgeous paired with a smokey eye. For a matte lipstick, it is not drying at all and highly pigmented. But I do usually wear a lip gloss on top of it. (I know that defeats the point of a matte lipstick - but matte lipsticks tend to have higher pigmentation.) My only complaint is that it does fade away in about an hour or two, but reapplying is not an issue for me at all.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Nostalgia
rated 5 of 5

I haven't planned to purchase this lipstick, but Ulta was having a sale on it so I got it for about $4 in this very color - so I just got it. I'm actually very pleased. I'm fond of pinks and nude lipsticks, so this was my first pinkish coral lipstick and it's very nice. It has great pigmentation - so a little went a long way. It's very moisturizing on my lips - it doesn't exaggerate the dry spots. So overall, I'm pleased with this purchase and recommend it! :)

Concealers -Physicians Formula - Conceal RX

I can't stress how amazing the coverage of this concealer is, and how little you use to actually get full coverage. I use it on the blemishes around my chin area and a little on my forehead; and I use very little. Like around the tip of a fat sharpie. haha. So a little goes a LONG way. However, I do find that it cause my foundation to cake a bit when I apply my foundation over it. But it can be fix when I apply a setting powder on top. I probably won't be repurchasing though since I love the concealer stick version much much more.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Matte Collection Quad Eye Shadow in Canyon Classic

This is a beautiful neutral palette, and I can never get enough of brown and nude shades. <3 The pigmentation is great and the color is matte. I find it great for creating a natural eyemake, and for blending out smokey eye looks. The dark brown-grey shade can also be used as a powder for your eyebrows. I will be on the watch for more amazing eye shadows from PF. :)

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Blending Brush
rated 4 of 5
emigyaru 10/4/2011 10:49:00 PM

I find the brush a little coarse and scratchy when I use it on my eyes. Therefore, I placed it aside for almost three months and just brought it back out yesterday. I used it on a pink and brown smokey eye look, and used the blending brush to soften the crease line and "blend" out the brown. The finishing look was gorgeous. I definitely will be repurchasing when I am ready to throw it away for hygiene reasons.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Foundation brush

I found that using this brush to apply my foundation makes it extremely streaky. I've used it with Rimmel London's Clean Finish, Match Perfect, Lasting Finish 25 Hour, and Revlon Colorstay Foundations. I definitely prefer to use my fingers or a damp sponge. However, this brush works wonderfully for another purpose: applying face masks, espcially clay masks. :D I would purchase again only for this purpose.

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler
rated 5 of 5
emigyaru 10/4/2011 9:22:00 PM

I just purchased this recently at my local Dollar General, and I wasn't expecting much since I was already using my Maybelline eye lash curler. But I was amazed how well this works! The maybelline one would often leave my lashes crimped in an awkward angle. But the E.L.F. one is amazing as long as I press lightly and move upward swiftly. My lashes are curled beatifully and my eyes look instantly more bright. I will definitely be purchasing more just to have some on hand, and give away to friends. :)

Polishes -E.L.F. - Nail Polish
rated 3 of 5
emigyaru 10/4/2011 9:16:00 PM

I have the color "Mint Cream" and I absolutely LOVE the color. But it really takes a lot of coats to get a solid color. I think I usually go for 3 coats to get a beautiful bold pastel color. And since it is 3 coats, I do have to wait a long time for the polish to dry. :/ However, I know that E.L.F. recently increased the price of these nail polishes after "upgrading" the formula. I will have to try the new formula to decide whether or not I want to repurchase in the future. I would probably stick to my favorite WnW or Sinful Colors though.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
rated 5 of 5
emigyaru 10/4/2011 9:09:00 PM

I absolutely love this primer. For the price, it definitely serves its purpose. Of course, I've never used the highly raved UDPP - but the differences in price does not justify how much better it can be. :/ I used this almost everyday (and have several backups). I have oily/combination skin and my eyemake is very proned to creasing but using the E.L.F. primer really helps keep the color vibrant - even 8 hours later with minimum retouching. :) Will definitely repurchase.

Blush -Maybelline - Expert Wear Blush
rated 2 of 5
emigyaru 10/4/2011 8:46:00 PM

I brought this blush at Big Lots since it was only $2, and I like to try new makeup. But this really was disappointing. There is absolutely no pigmentation at all, and I usually like sheer blushes. :( Just for the heck of it, I even tried swatching it on my hand with a primer. The pigmentation is extremely light. I will not be repurchasing. I can however, recommend it for a beginner who wants to try something extremely sheer and work their way to a darker shade.

Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
emigyaru 9/24/2011 8:22:00 PM

I have been searching for a good nude lipstick for ages! And when I was in CVS with a friend the other day, I noticed they were having a sale so I grabbed two. Soft Rose and Soft Nude. I have extremely pigmented natural lips, and other nudes would give me the "concealer" look. But this lipstick has amazing application with a glossy creme finish and lasts 3-5 hours, which is perfect for me. :) The packaging is sleek and gorgeous. I can't ask for more. Will definitely repurchasing....again&again.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst in Pink Sugar
rated 3 of 5
emigyaru 9/24/2011 8:05:00 PM

I purchased this lipstick after buying two the other day in the same line. The color looked promising on the cap, but I was slightly disappointed. When applied on the lips, there is barely any pigmentation. And no where does it say that the lipstick is a frost (btw, I absolutely hate frost), but it is. The color is a almost clear cotton candy tint...with huge chunks of glitter. I'll continue to wear it, as I hate wasting money, but I will avoid this color in this color. Their other colors in this line are definitely hits though; this one just got left behind :D

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst in Soft Rose [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
emigyaru 9/24/2011 7:54:00 PM

The Relvon ColorBurst in Soft Rose was a color I brought on a whim because my local CVS had it on sale for $5.49. I normally don't stray far from my usual baby pinks and light nudes, but I regret nothing with this lipstick. First of all, the packaging is very sleek and chic, and the color on the cap makes storage a breeze! My biggest pet peeve about any lipstick is the smoothness of the formula - but the ColorBurst's formula is so silky and pigment with just one coat. I actually don't mind too much about the rounded tip of the lipstick either though a pointed one would've made drawing in my cupid's bow a little easier. :) I wore it out for the first time yesterday and people stopped me to compliment it. and mind you, I've never been complimented by strangers before. So I will definitely be repurchasing.
