Crème -L'Oreal - True Match Roller
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:55:00 PM
For drugstore foundation, this was expensive! I thought, if I buy this, it better be the best foundation I've ever used. And I was disappointed. First off with the whole roller thing it's super easy to become streaky-- it takes some blending. The color matched pretty okay, I guess. Not very good coverage. After a while it will become oily and splotchy. HUGE disappointment.

Eyeliner -Stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:52:00 PM
I really like this because it's easy to apply for liquid eyeliner. It has a really precise point that never bends or becomes flat. I've never had problems with it drying out-- but obviously if you leave the lid off, it WILL dry out-- it is a liquid! I have the black one and it's very pigmented and lasts all day. It's around $16 which to me isn't a lot because it's really good quality and lasts all day and hasn't dried out. Will definitely buy again.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:49:00 PM
Painterly is a really pretty, neutral, everyday sort of color. It doesn't really have any big pop of color-- it's a nice skin tone with a hint of pink and maybe some light brown. I use it everyday underneath my eyeshadow, but sometimes I use it by itself if I'm in a rush and it still looks really pretty. It dries pretty quickly. I never use eye primer but it still doesn't crease. In the U.S. it's $17.50 which is a bit expensive for me but it's still a really great product and lasts forever, which makes it worth buying again.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Kitten
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:46:00 PM
I love this color. It has shimmer and it's a really pretty gold-ish type of color. The only thing is you HAVE to blend-- otherwise it'll be glitter overload and won't look as good as it can. Just put on a normal layer and do some blending, and it looks amazing. Really good to put on the inner corners to open up the eyes, too. I currently have my second Kitten eyeshadow and I've had problems with it crumbling-- after about one or two months, it'll completely crumble and become a loose shadow sort of thing, but it's okay because it still has its amazing color.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:43:00 PM
I don't really like the Porefessional, but I don't hate it either. In my opinion it didn't do anything to reduce the size of my pores. However it did make my makeup glide on a lot smoother and it does have a nice powdery feel once it dries.

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Primer
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:40:00 PM
Didn't like this that much. I have oily skin and this is about the worst primer for oily skin. The texture is weird-- it's like petroleum jelly, almost. It had a lot of grease. And I didn't really see a difference whether or not I put it on under makeup. Thank God it was cheap-- wouldn't buy this again.

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:38:00 PM
YES!! Best concealer I've ever used! Has very good and buildable coverage, which I need on my dark circles. I mean, wow. I am super impressed. The only thing is it does crease, but it's really mild and for me it's only one small line near the inner corner of my eye. Then again I could have applied too much. If you need a really good concealer, especially if you have dark circles, this is for you! Lasts all day and doesn't get shiny. (I always set my makeup with a translucent powder, so that may be why it doesn't get shiny but it's not overly slick so I think it would be fine on its own). Five stars!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
edendani17 5/5/2012 10:35:00 PM
This was the first foundation I bought from MAC. I went to the counter and described the coverage I wanted-- enough to cover up my blemishes and one or two beauty marks, but not like super cakey or too heavy. The StudioFix Fluid was what she recommended. In the store it seemed pretty good. She matched me with NC15 and I bought it, thinking it was just what I needed, and took it home and was a happy camper. The next day I decided to use it and decided I didn't like the container. It doesn't have a pump or anything so you have to pour it out onto the back of your hand, which means it's easy to waste and since it dries so quickly, I always ended up with a yellow spot on the back of my hand. I put it on my face and boy is this some heavy coverage. It feels more heavy than I would like for everyday. I mean don't get me wrong, this is some really good coverage-- if you have bad acne and some scarring, this would work awesome for you. But it was just too much for my skin. There's no way you could not set this with powder-- if I don't, halfway through the day I end up looking really slick (and this is supposedly good for oily skin, the lady at the counter told me). I just use a translucent powder to set. I didn't break out like some others do, but I just didn't like it that much. I give it a 3 because it does give good coverage, but it feels heavy, gets slick throughout the day, and was a bit too yellow for me. Good price for MAC foundation, though.
