I was going to buy the Almay liquid liner, until I saw the ratings for this. I bought this in black with the brush tip since I didn't look through to see that they had a felt tip. I am horrible at using liquid liner anyways, so it made no difference to me since I use makeup remover cloths to help straighten out the line. I love that it is really BLACK & doesn't smudge, or flake when I put shadow over it or use my eyelash curler. As others have mentioned, the packaging is a cheap, blank tube which I wish wasn't so, since it doesn't do the product justice. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this, and maybe next time I'll try the felt tip!
I have only been using this shampoo for a week, but I absolutely love it. My scalp is like my skin- oily (and even gets acne)! I have to shampoo everyday if I don't want greasy roots & flat hair. This shampoo allows me to go at least a day between shampoos, which for me is amazing! It smells great too :) I don't even need to use that much (I have long, thick, wavy hair), mostly since I use it on my roots only which is all I need. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone who has oily hair, and has to shampoo everyday but doesn't want to. I personally think it is a little pricey, but I will continue to buy! **EDIT** After about a month of use, my scalp & roots got VERY greasy! Halfway through the day, my hair would already feel gross. It took me a while to figure out that it was this shampoo that was actually making my scalp worse. I don't want to waste money and just toss the bottle, so I'm using it once or twice a week. I really wanted to like this, as I need a good cleansing shampoo but it made my scalp go into oil overdrive.
I recently bought this, & although it is not amazing, it is pretty good. I like the brush - it really gets every lash. It does provide good volume. To me, the smell is kind of chemical-ly, but not strong & it went away after applying. The Glam Black is great. It wasn't bad at holding a curl, but it could be better. I may try one or two more mascaras that I haven't tried that have gotten good reviews, & if I can't find anything better I think I'll be sticking with this!
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

My friends have been raving about this product, so when I got it in GWP, I couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately my face broke out, horribly. As others have said, it DOES contain mineral oil & sesame oil. Well my face produces enough oil, & I wish I had checked the ingredients first. I will NEVER use this on my face again. I have been using it on my hands since my cuticles are so dry and look unkempt no matter what I do. The good thing is that it is GREAT on my hands! My cuticles look great. Since it's not worth actually buying to use as hand lotion, I won't be repurchasing or recommending it.
Masks -St. Ives - Peel-Off Hydroxy Masque [DISCONTINUED]

I love this mask. When I use this, my face looks less dull, my pores are clearer, and my skin looks healthier. I use it maybe once a week or every two weeks, but when I first got it I used it up to 3 times a week with no overly dry results. It is lasting me quite a while also. Of course, this mask is also fun to peel off!!
Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Soft In-Shower Facial STEAM [DISCONTINUED]

Great drugstore product. I have a LOT of blackheads on my super oily nose, and they were almost all gone after this! My face definitely felt clean afterward. I think I'll be replacing my scrub with this!
This is my HG everyday eyeliner. I love that it is metallic, it gives the brown something extra. Sometimes it is not soft, but I think it gets cold in my bathroom. I warm it up between my palms or use a blowdryer for a second (no longer!). Some eyeliners come out really faint and light on my medium/light tan skin, but this comes out rich and looks wonderful.
This is my HG eyeliner also! I use the black one only for the weekends and special occasions, and the bronze on a daily basis. It goes on so smoothly and is is a very dark true black. Sometimes it isn't very soft, but I think it gets cold in my bathroom. I just warm it up by holding it between my palms or use a blowdryer for a second (no longer!).
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stylist Mascara ] [DISCONTINUED]

This mascara made me have spider eyelashes. My eyelashes are already very long but not very thick. It clumps like no other - I definitely had to use an eyelash comb every time. Also, it straightens my eyelashes right back out after I curl them! Does not hold them at all!
I use these strips regularly but I don't think they are an amazing product. I do like the immediate satisfaction of seeing many of my blackheads come out on the strip, but they definitely don't get them all. I have oily, acne prone skin and my nose is a field of blackheads. So these strips seem to keep things from getting worse with regular use, but they don't get rid of all my blackheads. I find that the face strips fit on my nose just as well as the actual nose strips, so I use either. I always use a coupon (that comes in every box) because they are a bit pricey for what they are. I have yet to find a product (scrub, toner, anything) that gets rid of my blackheads completely.
Ever since buying my Tweezerman tweezers, I haven't looked back at the cheapo ones I'd been using for years. This tweezer grabs the hair so well, and you can just pluck away! Best tweezers ever.
Styling Products -Pantene - Curl Defining Scrunching Mousse
drummagirl65 7/28/2008 1:22:00 AM
I haven't tried many mousses but I like this one. My hair is wavy but really lacks definition, and this helps a lot. My hair has to be really wet when I scrunch it otherwise it gets a little frizzy (but never to the point where it bothered me). I use a diffuser to dry my hair when I use this. Oh and the smell is great!
Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk
drummagirl65 7/28/2008 1:18:00 AM
I said I would buy this product again, but hopefully I won't have to because it has lasted me two years and still straightens as well as it did then! This is by far the best straightener I've ever had. I tried to avoid it for a while buying cheap lookalike straighteners but none of them straightened my stubborn thick, coarse, wavy hair very well. I caved in and bought this expensive thing (in silver), and it was so worth it. I always take it when I travel (except overseas, I wouldn't want the plug converters to kill it or I would die). I cannot live without it!!!
Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
drummagirl65 7/28/2008 1:07:00 AM
I wish I liked this product better because it is cheaper than Bare Minerals. However, it was too heavy on my face so I had that cakey look. The coverage on my blemishes was fantastic though. I really do not like the brush. It is too small and stiff. I like how the brush is part of the packaging, so that when I pull out the foundation from my drawer, the brush is right with it. I just couldn't stand the cakey look, & Bare Minerals was a lot better for me.
I have had my Prestige eyeliner pencil since I was in high school and I'm almost done with college now. Probably not the safest thing but I just love it and it has lasted me so long. Before I found it, I was trying to find an eyeliner that I could use to line the rim of my eye. Everything I tried wasn't a true, smooth black but instead, a soft light grayish black. A friend recommended this and I have been hooked since. At that time it was easy for me to find, but I haven't really seen it anywhere since then. Absolutely the best eyeliner to line in the rim of your eye.
