I don't hate this but I also don't love it. I absolutely love how convenient it is to use. You swipe a little on your forehead, cheeks, and chin, blend with your fingertips and voila, you're good to go. Buuut it's a bit greasy and has hardly any staying power. A few hours later, I don't know where it went. The coverage is pretty good, but I don't know..there's nothing fantastic about it. I guess I'd buy it again because I love how convenient it is...so easy to use...but it's definitely not HG. And actually, it's way overpriced. $32 for a stick that lasts maybe a couple months. *shrugs* Like I said, I don't hate it but don't love it. I've read some good things here about Clinique's City Sticks..I think I'll give that a shot.

Self Tanners -Fake Bake - xtreme
rated 5 of 5

I recently left a review for the regular lotion for Fake Bake, but I don't know what the hell I was doing using that...this is my holy grail of self tanners!!! Not only does it dry fast and not leave any odor, it hardly stains my sheets or clothes and gives me the most beautiful tan that lasts for over a week!! I'm just speechless. With the regular fake bake lotion, I'd have to use it for about 5 days to get the same tan I can get with Xtreme in 2 days!! As I stated in my other Fake Bake review, I've tried dozens of self tanners, from drugstore to expensive Nordstrom stuff, and this is just by far the best. I'm so in love with it. This is it for me, I will never use anything else. Also, don't get weirded out or discouraged by how dark the product is and how dark it goes on...it is a color guide and it washes off in the shower, leaving you with a gorgeous tan. Exfoliate well and moisturize every single day and you shouldn't have any problems. Everyone is different though, but for the overall public. Anyway, I'm in love with xtreme fake bake. *sigh* TIP!!! I highly suggest mixing the gel with your favorite lotion in order to help make the application smoother and less streaky or blotchy, as I've seen some people on here complain about. It is very fast drying, so adding a lotion absolutely helps with the application. It also makes your tan look more even and smooth. So add a pump of lotion in with your pump of gel! And ALWAYS use gloves!!

Self Tanners -Fake Bake - Self-Tanning Lotion
rated 4 of 5

I feel like I've tried EVERY self tanner out there and THIS is THE ONE!!!! I've tried expensive stuff like Clarins and cheaper stuff like Banana Boat, Jergens, Neutrogena, L'Oreal, Vaseline, Coppertone, and gosh...there's more... Anyway, the reason why Fake Bake is so great in my opinion is that not only is the color beautful, but it LASTS!! That's really my issue with self tanners. I feel like most of the self tanners I've tried develop with more or less the same color..some more deeper and richer than others, but I don't know, the color has never been the huge issue for me. My issue has always been how long they last. All of the drugstore self tanners I've used take a whole week of applicatons to develop a noticable enough color and if you stop using it for two day, the color dies out super fast. After three days of not using the drugstore kinds, your color is gone! A whole week of wasting time to put it on, dealing with the smell, and waiting so long for a nice tan..and bam! It's gone if you don't do it everyday. So annoying. Well, Fake Bake is NOTHING like that!! You develop the same color after two applications that take a whole week's worth of use of the drugstore brands!! I'm not kidding. Not only that, but when I use Fake Bake, my tan lasts for a good week after not using it at all. I usually put it on for about four consecutive days and then that gorgeous tan lasts for about a week! After that, only one or two applications is needed to maintain the tan. I really can't believe how great this stuff is. So why did I give it 4 lippies? It absolutely stinks and stains ANYTHING you get it near. If you've read that it doesn't stain...don't believe that for a second. I have white bed sheets and my sheets turned brown the first night. Fake Bake goes on a rich brown color...you'll look crazy when you put it on, and yes, it will rub off on anything you put on or sleep on afterward...even if it dries. I learned to sleep with towels so as to avoid more stains. It will absolutely stain your hands and you HAVE to use gloves to apply it. I'm willing to deal with these downsides because it's the best thing I've tried yet. Also, for some of the reviews I've read about Fake Bake and people mope about the rich color that goes on when you put it on...yes, it goes on crazy dark brown because it's a color guide, it's showing you where you've applied it. This all washes off when you shower in the morning. If that makes you think your color is gone..use it again! You think you're gonna get a great tan from a bottle in one night? No, try two or three nights! You can't judge a self tanner's color by one use. Scrub before use, use gloves when applying, moisturize every day to help keep the tan from becoming patchy and you will get results.
