Well I used this chalk on my face and while it always went on matte, within an hour or two I had the oiliest t-zone. The sparkle in it made my oily t zone an oily disco ball zone. This seems to magnify my pores, they were no longer pores but craters. To compound those issues it would turn quite orangey within a few hours. Hated the powdery mess. Do not be fooled, read BP's Don't Go To The Beauty Counter Without Me and you will learn why this is not good for those with oily skin. The foundation primer is basically junk also, did not help in any way. Their brushes are HORRENDOUS, rough and scratchy. Once you use McEvoy squirrel brushes or MAC, you do get spoiled. Many other lines have cheaper mineral brushes that don't feel like your using a straw broom on your face. I gave up on mineral foundation and discovered MAC and those foundations rocked my world. Within the last 6n months I discovered Lancome's Mineral foundation and had wonderful results. However they don't offer as many color choices as BE. Would I buy this again, the answer is obvious.

As Tony the Tiger would say "Its greaaaate!" Okay, I will toot my horn here, I have 250+ brushes, mostly McEvoy, Mac, Bobbi Brown & Chanel so I can definitely say I know alot about a little! I find Mcevoy's Blue Squirell blushes the softest & most luxurious. With that said, this brush is quite superb in softness and its utility and is not too far below Mcevoy and right on up there with the many Mac I have in terms of softness and the best part of all, the price!!! Can't recall exactly but I know it was less than $10.00 for two b/c it is all the cash I happened to have in my pocket as I did not have my purse . I use them (purchased only two) for blush, highlighter and sculpting. I will go back and get two more if they have them, hard to come by at Michael's. Love this 1" brush and will buy again!

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Kohl Pencil in Brown Copper

Love the color, great payoff, makes hazel eyes pop but no staying power. Smears within two -three hours unless set with a similar colored eye powder. For almost twenty dollars I expect more. Will not buy again.

Blush -MAC - Cantaloupe

This blush to the best of my knowledge can only be found at the Pro Store. I ordered based solely on the reviews from the great ladies (and gents) on this board. Not very impressive in the pan but once applied on my NW25 skin and it was beautiful. No glitter/shimmer, goes on sheer with a light hand but yet buildable for a more dramatic look. Also looks great with bronzer.I have pink undertones and it still looked beautiful and I don't see any pinkyness in it. For those of us not in our twenties or even thirties, Cantaloupe looks great with MAC ravishing lipstick, Revlon #040 gloss and smoky eyes for a glam loook without looking like you are going to a night club. will probably have to get a back up for fear of it being d/c.

Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer

Ok, purchased the one ounce jar years ago, before the mags printed what toilet paper and moisturizers the stars used. Purchased it in the fall and slathered this on my dry cheeks in the winter and it was nothing but love, supple, hydrated and soft but it took a long long time to absorb. I used to have to wash my face two hours before bedtime and use the product so that it would have time to be absorbed on my face and not my pillow case as evident by the stains within a few days on the pillow case. Come summer there was no need for it. I then purchased the one pound jar before the two price increases as I thought this was going to be a lifelong marriage. After reading PB's Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me book I was HORRIFIED to read that the main ingredients are mineral oil and petrolatum (vaseline). Why I never read the ingredients list at Neimans is beyond me, maybe I was having a senior moment about 25 years early! Hence why this is not to be used on oily areas as the petrolatum is occlusive. I have had the jar for several years and it has not gone rancid. Granted I never ever put my fingers in it. I use a clean spatula every time and warm it up between the fingertips first or it is very difficult to spread. Overall I do like it very much, it moisturizes like nothing else, however when I am done with this jar in several years there is no way I will pay over 1K for vaseline, mineral oil and a minute amount of seaweed. Of note is that aside from the seaweed, the ingredients base is the same as Nivea which my neighbor uses on her face and she is utterly happy with!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead Degradé

My favorite of the three even though I have never seen the other two I have seen lots of swatches on the boards and new this was the one. Just beautiful if used sparingly on my NW25 skin. Used it with my 187, 188 and Enkore's skunk brush and all delivered fabulous results. Used it all over. After swatching though, tap it lightly and some of the glitter comes off and buff it. I used it all over and it gave me a great glow without looking like a disco ball. As I get older and better less is more!

Loooove this! When I first got it and swatched it on my hand it was eeewww, will have to swap this. I was not ready to give up though. Put it on my lips straight from the tube and although slightly better it still was was just... ugh. The third time was a charm, used a lip brush and thought well what an improvement, this has possiblity. A light coat of Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in Nude Lustre 040 and I have found something to rival 4N. My new HG!!! Just went back to ebay and bought two more!!
