smells more like orange in APOM or Elie Saab, than jasmin... a great scent really, would'n mind to have it in my collection...very feminine twist of jasmine flower but as I noted-more orange/neroli sweetness than jasmine.... Pure Poison anyone.....? EDIT: O.M.G, this is fantastic...utterly fantastic....this kind of sweetness is absolutely unfamilliar to my nose...it is a fresh, zesty but also (goddamn it!!) amazingly soft and floral jasmine... I like this one A LOT...whish list immediately!!!!

yes, some kinf of powdery flour...but most of scents development goes in the cedar/iris direction... smells like a cup of lapsang-suchong with a hint of iris... very special, but kinda not the ''perfume'' I'd like to show off in public.... unique,milky,comfortable....I see no resemblance with Eau d'Hiver, at all!

alongside with PR Dambrosia, the best fig scent in the world....very perfumy, sweetlwss, dry and woody scent that wakes the senses.... very long lasting, smells like a full blooded perfume, whereas Phylosikos smells like a wonderful....room....freshener.... 10/10

..this one is sharp, green tuberose...or is it? after an hour a beautiful, creamy orange emerges not unlike SL Fleur d'Oranger.....a wonderfully crafted fragrance, but little too loud for me....

Fragrances -Hermes - Terre d Hermes
cocorocha 12/20/2012 8:13:00 AM
You wouldn't believe where I found this gem....on a girlie-girl site where a beautiful girl said her boyfriend got this for his birthday, wore it once and said he didn't like it at all!!.... and since then, it stood in their bathroom, until she decided to sell it for a 15 $!!!for a 2.5. oz bottle... hm, try to say NO to that offer:ĐĐĐ of course I said to my bf I'm going to buy it for him, and we ended up using Terre together (he bought it,oh what a sacrifice...:)... ok,what I think about this perfume: it smells like a burnt orange peel plus Chanel's Sycomore...amaaaaazingly sexy but in a sophisticated way (more italian kind of sexy then french...)...very dry, mineral, has a note of humid soil and very salty component (Eau des Merveilles saltiness...)....sillage is huuuuuge!!...it could be pulled off as a female scent but its caracter is purely masculine..... I'm tryin' to pull it off,and not sure for how long will I endure the fight with vetyver..(don't like Sycomore, we certainly don't get along!).. best description is given by a fellow basenoter who said: ''...Terre D'Hermes does exactly what M. Ellena is known to do with his fragrances: Evolve and Intrigue. Ellena is known for his transparent style - literally "see through" fragrances. Give my man a dirty old window and he'll shoot pellets of art right through it in a pattern that's apparent...but when looking through the holes, an entirely new world unfolds right there in front of you. Starts with a fireworks display of rugged citruses with a sparkling sensation given off by the pepper...dries down to a mellowed orange zest fragrance with a strong woody, earthy, and soil like undertone...which gives off a strong, masculine, yet refreshing sensation. Extremely versatile...can be sported in a suit, a henley and jeans, or T-shirt and shorts, ...anything - any weather - any season - a remarkable creation by JCE. ...''.....by DrAdotP JC Ellena, you are the Beethoven of perfume industry!! (p.s. I recently read that Terre actually comes in 2 different concentrations....and I was wondering why is this edp so strong and kinda unpleasantly bitter....edt is much more subtle and flowery, so my vote goes to creamy, airy and more feminine edt...;D)

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Nez a Nez Marron chic
cocorocha 12/19/2012 7:02:00 AM
If you find Parfum d'Empire's Equistrius too quiet, Karleidoscope too violety, P del Forte Roma Imperiale-too expensive, try this one... this is the closest you can get to a vintage lipstick smell, my granny and even mom wore in 70ties... a perfectly unique combination of iris, coca and orange, with a strong suede note which makes me drool since I put it on my skin...and now 2 hrs later, still drooling.... amazingly strong sillage, pyramidal development, and at the end you are left with a huge powdery iris, cocoa and wet leather... it is far from classical gourmands that contain the same menage a trois, but still kinda -gourmand.... Daim Blonde minus apricot+cocoa... there's a strange note of karo karounde (Karo Karounde: A intense middle note with a complicated floral quality that is almost chocolate. Rich, deep and sexy it speaks of the earth and flowersat the same time) which seems like no flower I've ever experienced....but there's a vetyver that makes this dream rather grounded and fixed in a strong composition.. vintage, forgotten, creamy Dior lipstick with a chocolate undertones...Timbuktu is a simillar one to this, but less fruity and less flowery... fascinating scent!!!

Fragrances -Guerlain - L'Instant magic elixir
cocorocha 12/18/2012 8:57:00 AM
Since this gorgeous gourmand/flowery sweeteness is nowhere to be found (it is a LE,released as a L'Instant magical petit frere in 2009), I came across some leftovers in a bottle, I've bought just to satisfy my craving for something unreachable and in my head-(if that's even possible)-a more magical, longer lasting and sweeter L'Instant magic... and got exactly that! Guerlain noses know their business and like all in the L'Instant line, this one is also very beautiful, but very expensive and for me-not so airy and perfect like plain L'Instant magic...this one is sweeter, and I mean ''lempicka sweet''..woodier,denser and muskier.... but that sweeteness ruines it for me...same thing happens to Insolence edp, L'Instant edp...more vanilla, more fruit, more jam and more fuss...and for the result that almost suffocates during the development of all the beautiful notes like almond, heliotrope and powdery iris that both version contain... the most surprising thing is- elixir lasts even shorter than L'I.Magic.... so if you like first edition of L'I magic, do not be sad if you can't find and try Elixir version...not everything carrying this enticing term is actually that special... keep your L'Instant magic close to your heart and search no more...it is the most perfect and magical almond/iris powder there is....

Fragrances -Agent Provocateur - Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionnelle EDT
cocorocha 12/18/2012 8:39:00 AM
smell almost identically to Piguet's Calypso....but Calypso takes more serious approach to creamy roses whereas AP Eau Emotionelle is a real dusty rose.... its dustiness lays upon the use of raw materials like coriander which is a very harsh and prominent spice and quite noticable...but in this composition it lingers alongside rose in the way Heatcliff lingers towards Cathy....they are sooo much in love but still manage to stay apart thanx to the restlesness of hearts. in AP EE (which is miles away from the dominatrix calles Agent provocateur edp) rose stays wonderfully close to skin, a skank is often to be smelled along the development phases...but vetyver and red pepper calm it down with a soft whisper of tea-rose (osmanthus)... a beautiful and feminine fragrance, very dusty, very lingerie-like....soft,provocative,silky and ready to be torn apart... an undisputable smell(scent) of a woman... more of a skin scent in the character, less a real perfume... 8/10

Fragrances -Guerlain - L'Instant de Guerlain
cocorocha 12/17/2012 4:21:00 AM
I've been reading reviews of this scent and some left me speechless...both in a good and in a bad way... for me, this is a short and sweet aberration from the guerlinade-based Guerlains (heheh), that doesn't have so much in common with the full blooded guerlaines familliar to the wide audience.but I think that is exactly what makes this one so special.... this is a very beautiful, hypnotic and extremely sexy gourmand, based on a magnolia/honey accord and brought to extreme by very luscious amber note.....there's vanilla also, but that vanilla isn't childlishly sweet or overdone... now- Shalimar,Addict,Roma???...no resemblance at all...!! first of all- Shalimar is a powdery bergamot/lemon/opoponax oriental,Addict is a tonka/vanilla based oriental, Roma is a floriental with a heavy blackcurrant/mint note, and bergamot/patchouly base, not a honey/amber gourmand like L'Instant.... this is a unique, sweet, ultramodern and feminine perfume, but you have to be very careful when wearting it in public... it has very powerful sillage and almost a surreal projection, so try to be modest (1,2, spritz will do ok)....a perfect winter-daytime scent (I don't recommend it on a hot, humid day), and a wonderful companion for an evening out...followed by....well, yeah, THAT!! creamy, dreamy, steamy little miracle.....try it before the buy... p.s. EDP and EDT are not so different considering the notes, but edp is rather deep and more dense...has less citruses, more amber and all in all is a monstruous in a sense of sillage...edt is a tad lighter and fluffier, but also very charming and unusual... I recommend an EDP, because it captures perfectly the idea behind this wonderful perfume- strong, feminine woman, but with an edge...provocative,maybe not decorative enough to be called a sex bomb, quite shy and introverted...until the vulcano in her works his way out... that is how I experience L'Instant....

Lipstick -Avon - Ultra Color Rich in Poppy Love
cocorocha 12/14/2012 3:11:00 AM
I'll be joining the happy rave society who find this lipstick amazing!! Just got it yesterday (and my beautiful Avon lady gave me a lip liner in the exact same color, FOR FREE...bless her), and I'm totally in love! I've been looking for a neutral kind of orangey-red color, bought Revlon Really red(superduper!!!), bought Bourjois Rouge Unlimited in 17 (great)...but my all time favourite considering the color that suits me perfectly is Avon's (unfortunately discontinued) Ultra Color Rich Colordisiac lipstick, in RED HOT LIPS (pixiwoo !)...I've tried it, wore it, bought another one and all I can say-Avon, you rock!! Now since my RHL shade is discontinued, I've been wondering whether I should take Colour Rich in Red 2000 (obviousely very cherry red, like NYX's Chaos), or a new subtle color called Poppy Love... so, I've decided to take the latter.... and that was a bingo!!it has almost the same glorious feeling on your lips like Colordisiac, smells wonderful, and the color is unbelievable pigmented and rich...it is really closest to true poppy flower than any other red lipstick I've ever seen or had!!and truest to RHL shade. the finish is matte, but unlike MAC or Revlon (Revlon is much, much gentler to your lips imho),it doesn't leave a matte, velvety color, but the color is deep, opaque and very true to the color in the lipstick case....I've had some issues with the oxidation of red lipsticks and hated when it happened, but this red baby stays true to its natural color....all the time..no oxidation at all!! it stays well sealed on the lips,it doesn't make my lips itch or burn...and I don't need to reapply it often... all in all I swear by Revlon and AVON because they have the best lipsticks in the world... (also try AVON's Hydracolor in Chilli if you want a real, real serious tomato/cherry red...) move away, overhyped Lancome,Dior,YSL,MAC,Illamasqua..... and make room for AVON instead... 10/10

Fragrances -Hermes - Un Jardin en Méditerranée
cocorocha 12/11/2012 6:07:00 AM
ok, if this smells like Phylosikos than I'm Marilyn Monroe!! since I'm not, you figure it out for yourselves;))))))))) this wonderful Hermes's creation smells like a Provencal summer, with all the ''right'' plants in all the right places...Imortelle,sage,citruses,pinch of pepper, green mango, fig leaf (I smell sun dried fig fruit instead)... Un J.sur le Nile is vile compared to this serene juice... I don't think all of us have the same associations when talking about this Hermes but I'm quite sure you've been somewhere on some mediterranean island surrounded with woods and dry herbs....so to me, this is a smell of summer on an island.... I'm quite surprised of how easy it is to pull this off but more so, I'm surprised that is doesn't have such a sillage or longievity...it is quiet and close to the skin and this not-quite-ripe accord brings suptilness of this frag to another level...and gives it longievity in the base, when all the other notes sustain... fresh, dry, aromatic and very french....but nothing hypeworthy! ok, now I smell the vinegar, cedar and fried paprika...and just a little bit of dry fig... nice, very nice and wearable... definitely unisex!!

indolic, hardcore, heavy, generic, oily ''masterblaster'' jasmine... just wouldn't want to smell like a deep cold piss mixed with ylang-ylang... after some time, not bad imho, but ....want jasmine?-just take some Organza, and enjoy!!!!! massive edit: KHM....I decided I do want to smell like cold piss after all...<3 and what a piss this is!!:)))) it is of crucial matter to try it on your skin, it really is a hardcore jasmine/ylan.ylang combo that almost burns the nostrils....BUT, it is amazingly sexy...and give it some time....no, really, be generous! bought it, OF COURSE!!! A LIPPIE UP:)

Fragrances -LUSH - Breath of God
cocorocha 12/4/2012 4:53:00 AM
..there's something nutty about this one....like some kind of strange sacral hazelnut, and like many reviewers I fell in love with it after a first whiff... like I said many times before, I really don't seem to like gettin on a ''woohoo-I'm-soo-cool-and-use-Lush-like -Madonna'' bandwagon, simply because of the aggressive marketing leaning towards persuasion of ''how good and versatile Lush products are''..(NOT!)..and being bougt and used by many respectable stars makes it even a little repulsive for me...why the heck should I care what Madonna or Kardashians wear?....so I tend to avoid Lush and given the very high prices, I think justified so. but luckily for me, a friend brought this to my attention by bringing a small, ugly, black bottle with 30 g(?like, haven't they heard about liquid measures for f.sake??) product...and as soon as I frowned at the mentioned brand, I took a shot and was left speechless... this is very, very niche-sque sort of fragrance, very deep, soft and unbeleavably wearable! starting off with a pungent smell of burnt wood, bonfire, fur, and very prominent cedarwood, you would've thought something icky this way''ll come, but nope, this goes in whole another path...black pepper listed as a componend gives a fantastic sweetenes to a scent, and ylang-ylang makes it zingy, almost bready, but with no flower accord familliar to my nose... it is quite strong and violent, but after just 15 minutes it settles into a wonderful melange, making an aromatic-woody scent (not oriental imho) very well money-worthy...and that's ALOT of money!!!it seems to me a better choice to buy a big botlle than just a 10 ml. decant because it is just tooo darn expensive!!! but all in all it goes amazingly good with my skin's PH and makes me think of twisted CdG creations such as Tar or maybe even some leathery scents like Cuir Ottoman(without the light and beautiful iris part).. worthy of your attention if you like totaly different kind of slightly woody/animalic nutty scents....try before you buy!!! lasting life- aproximately 5 hrs...just about enough! don't get me started with the development phases because it is the wildest rollercoaster you'll ever experience!!! 10/10! (even though it's Lush!)
