Liquid -Estee Lauder - Maximum Coverage Foundation
rated 5 of 5

HG foundation! After years battling with acne I now have clear skin, but acne treatments and medications mean I have a lot of persistent redness in my face. This covers it with the tiniest amount, and doesn't rub off or change colour throughout the day. It takes some time to get to grips with just *how little* you need, the slightest bit too much and it can look mask-like. Once you've grasped that though it's perfect. Colour choices are limited - thankfully my pale, yellow-toned English skin is a perfect match for Very Light. Have repurchased and will definitely purchase again!

Mascara -Prestige - My Biggest Lashes
rated 5 of 5

I can't believe I'm going to say it... HG mascara! I've been using this for about a year now (thanks to MUA) and I LOVE it. I'm blessed with naturally long lashes but this thickens them up and makes them a little bit longer without going spidery. Doesn't flake or smudge, and as long you wait a few seconds between coats it doesn't clump at all. I've tried out other mascaras when I've run out of this through sheer curiosity but nothing comes close to it. Plus not animal tested, yay :)

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10
rated 2 of 5
cocofabulous 9/10/2009 9:42:00 AM

This dyes hair in 10 minutes, but the colour you get will last about a fortnight. The amount of colour that came out every time I washed my hair was crazy, and after a week it was just a boring, dull mess. Won't repurchase.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 2 of 5

The amazingness of this completely passed me by. I've found my HG but it's sooooo expensive so I went on the lookout & figured Colorstay was loved by so many it's a great place to start. The packaging sucks, the colour selection is ridiculous (I'm pale but with yellow undertones: Ivory is way too pink, and Buff is too dark) & it didn't even give that good coverage. After FOUR layers I could still see really minor marks on my skin that tinted moisturizer could cover! Returned it after one use.

Pressed Powders -Bourjois - Pastel Teint Essentiel - Rose
rated 2 of 5
cocofabulous 2/8/2009 5:30:00 AM

I love this powder & have already repurchased it. I didn't realise just how adored it was until I dropped my old one and couldn't be without it for a few days, immediately rushing out to get a new one! Rosé suits my pale English complexion perfectly and really prolongs the longevity of my foundation. I'm not oily, but it keeps shine at bay & I like the scent alot :) EDIT: Both my 1st & 2nd purchases of this the powder shattered, making it an absolute pain to use. Won't repurchase.

Polishes -Barry M - Barry M.
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 2/8/2009 5:26:00 AM

Barry M nail polishes are my absolute favourite! Loads of colours, cheap & I've yet to find a brand (including OPI) that is more chip-resistant. I've had a manicure for up to a fortnight with minimum chips! Love 'em.

Treatments -Elizabeth Arden - Eight Hour Cream

This stuff is just horrible. It smells like nothing on earth, is thick, greasy, and doesn't moisturise. Jack of all trades, master of none!

Primer/ Corrector -GOSH - Velvet Touch foundation primer
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 12/3/2008 4:53:00 PM

ADORE this primer! I don't have oily skin so I can't comment on oil-controlling properties, but my skin is extremely dry & so foundation often looks patchy and blotchy after a few hours. This completely solves it and keeps it looking flawless all day. Doesn't break me out, you only need a little bit, and no animal testing - definite repurchase from me :)

Scrubs -Superdrug - Vitamin E Body Scrub
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 12:25:00 PM

Holy crap, HG scrub! I love love love this stuff. The price has been upped by about 30p since the first review but it's still incredibly cheap. Leaves my skin sooo smooth & really helps with ingrown hairs. On offer alot as well so it ends up even cheaper. One of my favourite beauty products of all time!

Blush -New York Color - Central Park Pink 655B
rated 2 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 5:38:00 AM

A nice, subtle pink. It looks worryingly sparkly in the packaging but this doesn't come across on your cheeks. Staying power isn't great, and I won't repurchase because New York Color's animal testing policy is very suspect.

Concealers -Lily Lolo - Cover Up in Blush Away
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 5:35:00 AM

This has allowed me to wear mineral foundation again! I have quite a bit of redness from acne medication & this cancels it out COMPLETELY. Not only can I wear foundation, but blusher too - yay! I wouldn't be without this now!

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Jojoba Oil
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 5:32:00 AM

I add 1 or 2 drops of Jojoba Oil to a moisturiser that I need to give a bit more hydration to. Doesn't break me out, and one drop goes a very long way. This means it works out cheap, too. A couple of drops work well in hair conditioner aswell. Looove Jojoba Oil!

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Body Smooth Sensation Daily Lotion for Dry Skin
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 5:29:00 AM

This is a wonderful body moisturiser. Leaves skin incredibly soft, and it lasts. I do wish the UK product had a pump like the US one, but the product itself is too good to knock a lippie off for that. A bottle lasts a while, too. My favourite body lotion I've discovered yet! Will repurchase.

Styling Products -Charles Worthington - RESULTS- SHINE Silkening Serum Fine To Medium Hair ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 5:26:00 AM

I rushed out to buy this after reading the reviews & I was not disappointed. This leaves my hair silky soft without weighing it down and doesn't cause build up. I came in from the rain the other day and still had almost no frizz. Cheap, a few pumps go a long way & not animal tested! I will stock up for sure.

Lip Treatments -Soap and Glory - Sexy Motherpucker Lip Gloss
rated 5 of 5
cocofabulous 11/15/2008 5:23:00 AM

This lip plumper actually *tingles* rather than burn, which I'm sure we've all experienced with much disdain at the packaging's promise. It's a gentle, pins-and-needles feeling - I really like the sensation. And goodness does this stuff plump! I used a tester instore and my mum saw me a few minutes later and asked what I'd used even though I hadn't told her! I have this in the clear gloss but will definitely purchase some of the coloured ones. Doesn't dry out my lips, and I adore the chocolate orange scent (although it does fade quickly if you're not a fan). HG plumper!
