Moisturizers -Eucerin - Q10 Sensitive Skin Anti-Wrinkle Fluid
rated 5 of 5

I'm assuming that this "Fluid" is the same thing as the "Lotion" that I use. This is definitely my HG moisturizer. Never ever makes me greasy no matter how much I use, works great under makeup, and leaves my skin as smooth as a baby's butt. I never thought I'd be able to say that about my skin. The SPF is a great bonus, and I love that the moisturizer comes with a cap so it won't spill everywhere making traveling convenient. Every other moisturizer I've tried has made me greasy, but this one never ever has. This has gotten extremely hard to find in stores, but they still sell it on drugstore.com for anyone who can't find it anymore!

Conditioner -Dove - Sheer Moisture Conditioner
rated 2 of 5

It leaves my hair only 'kinda' smooth and it weighs it down. The worst part? It makes my neck break out something awful! I didn't use this for a few months while using another conditioner, and I never broke out with that one. Recently I ran out so I went back to this... only for my neck to break out again! I'm certain going back to this conditioner is what made me break out. I won't be using it again. Also the results that it gave my hair were nothing too special that I can't find in another conditioner.

Styling Products -Redken - Align 12
rated 3 of 5
cocobunny 12/31/2007 12:37:00 AM

A salon stylist recommended this product to help with blow drying, but I found this to be only okay. The best thing I like about this product is how it never ever leaves my hair greasy, which is a plus as far as styling products go. It does leave my hair kinda soft, but it's not anything different from what my hair would be like if I didn't use this product at all... other than this infusing my hair with a scent that I'm not particularly fond of. I'll go ahead and finish the bottle, but at the expensive price, I probably won't repurchase.

Concealers -Origins - Quick, Hide! Easy blend concealer
rated 5 of 5
cocobunny 12/23/2007 2:42:00 AM

What I primarily look for in a concealer is solid coverage for my acne-prone skin, not so much undereye converage, so this concealer really delivers. A little goes a long way, and what you get is perfect coverage on blemishes and great staying power (and my skin is really oily!) The creamy consistency really makes coverage appear quite smooth as opposed to cakey. For reference, I'm Asian, and Medium is such a good match it just melts into my skin, no orange-y color or anything. I also really like the wand applicator packaging... I know the older reviews all complain about the weird metal tube spilling so much product out when you open it, but the new packaging doesn't have that problem. I'll definitely keep going out of my way to repurchase this in the future over the convenience of drugstores, and that's really saying a lot for a college student like me!

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Adidas 24hr Control Absorbent-Deo
rated 1 of 5
cocobunny 12/20/2007 6:35:00 PM

I'll be perfectly honest. I didn't even use this for more than a couple of days before I stopped using it. The scent of "Pure Powder" was nauseating upon application, my underarms felt kind of sticky, and I wasn't about to go around smelling like this all the time. It's weird, because I used to use an Adidas antiperspirant before I couldn't find it anymore, and that "Pure Powder" scent was light and clean smelling. Not like this one, which packs a certain "in-your-face" scent. To be fair, I realize that some people say that your underarms need time to adjust to a deodorant that's not an antiperspirant, and things will kick in after a while. I'm not saying this doesn't work in that respect -- I'm saying the smell straight up turned me off altogether that I didn't even want to bother finding out if it could control wetness and all that jazz. What's the point if I feel like I already stink?

Deodorants -Suave - Suave 24-Hour Protection Powder Roll-on Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant
rated 3 of 5
cocobunny 12/20/2007 5:59:00 PM

I've used this for about three months and while it did work fine at first, I've found sweat spots on my shirts as well as the dreaded streaking which never used to happen to me in the past with other deodorants. I'd probably repurchase this if there really wasn't anything else (I despise Dove deodorants) but I'll continue searching elsewhere in the meantime.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 5 of 5
cocobunny 10/27/2007 2:22:00 AM

So I have Asian lashes, and I'll take anything that can make them look fuller. Last Blast does the trick -- really! I liked the fullness factor I got from Maybelline Full N Soft, but I had an issue with clumping and smudging throughout the day. I switched to Max Factor Lash Perfection Volume Couture and liked its staying power and separating factor, but the fullness just wasn't the same as Full N Soft. I am happy to report that with Lash Blast, I get everything that I want -- fullness, no clumping, no smudging, AND separating like a dream. I was also pleased to find that this lengthens as well, something that I don't usually look for in a mascara, but it was a pleasant surprise. Ladies, really give this a try. Sure, the fat orange tube just looks straight up awkward, but anything that can make my Asian lashes look this fluttery deserves an A in my book. Bottom line: Lash Blast does everything a mascara should do -- and it does it well.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5

I have this in brown black which is a great alternative to black if you want a soft, natural color for the day. It tugs a little when I'm first trying to apply it, but it gives pretty good definition in an even line. Sadly, it smudges on me after several hours. I have oily eyelids though, so that wasn't much of a surprise. I thought this might actually last on my eyes but nope...

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Visibly Even Daily SPF 15 Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
cocobunny 7/18/2007 2:38:00 AM

In my original review I said that this made me break out like I haven't done in a long time, but I decided to continue using this to see what would happen. The breakout cleared and I haven't broken out from this since (now I'm not sure if this is what broke me out in the first place.) After about a month, I can really say that this moisturizer seems to have improved the clarity of my skin. Red marks and discolorations are fading quickly, and my skin tone really does look more even. I am still not so crazy about the runny consistency of this moisturizer, plus I get oily faster than I did with my previous Eucerin moisturizer, so that's why I took off a star. But I simply can't ignore the results this moisturizer has given my face. I'm glad I stuck it out a little longer to see the results and advise the rest of you to do so with this moisturizer!

Mascara -Max Factor - Lash Perfection Volume Couture [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
cocobunny 7/4/2007 2:46:00 AM

I've been using Maybelline Full N Soft for a while now, but then I picked this up and wow. I may officially have converted to this. This performs similar to Full N Soft in how it produces natural, full lashes for a daytime look, and leaves my lashes soft as well. The difference? Unlike Maybelline, this separates better and it truly doesn't budge until you wash it off, in which case it's easily washable. And you can easily build up the coats for a "nighttime" look. It's hard to find, unfortunately (I managed to find it at KMart for $6.99) but it was well worth the search!

Shampoo -Dove - Moisturising Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
cocobunny 7/3/2007 5:29:00 PM

My hair used to be easily tamed just by using products for "Normal" hair, but my hair has gotten drier over the years (due to heat styling, perhaps) and I needed something more moisturizing for my hair. I picked this up thinking it might be too moisturizing since I am so used to using "normal hair" shampoos, but this instantly transformed my hair into the smooth, silky texture it once was long ago. It rinsed clean and didn't make my hair greasy, just super nice.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Cleanse- Tea Tree Special Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
cocobunny 6/24/2007 2:50:00 AM

I went to get my hair cut once and the stylist saw that my hair was on the dry side, so she gave me this shampoo to cure the dryness. Um, this shampoo just dried my hair out even further! The minty feeling is quite invigorating and I have to say my hair was quite shiny, but unfortunately the dryness couldn't be overlooked. If you tend to have dry hair you might not want to look into this product.

Concealers -Almay - line smoothing concealer
rated 4 of 5
cocobunny 5/22/2007 8:08:00 PM

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this one yet. I've been using this for about a year now and it always performs well. The creamy consistency makes blending very easy. One thing is that it doesn't last as long as it probably should.. maybe I'm still used to Amazing Lasting which I used to use until Almay discontinued it. I recently tried the Clear Complexion blemish healing concealer by Almay and it definitely paled in comparison to this one. Best of all, people always think I have good skin when I definitely don't. Eh, what they don't know won't hurt them. :)

Concealers -Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Spot Concealer
rated 3 of 5
cocobunny 5/22/2007 8:02:00 PM

I usually get the Line Smoothing concealer by Almay, but the store was out of it so I bought this one instead. Right off the bat I noticed the consistency wasn't as creamy as Line Smoothing, and this appeared cakey on me. In photos this powdery tint showed up around the places where I had applied this concealer. However, I think it actually helped heal some of my red marks and scars over time. This would probably take more practice to blend and is fine if there's nothing else, but I prefer Line Smoothing much more to this. They really are two different concealers.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
cocobunny 3/18/2007 2:41:00 PM

My face used to have a lot of red marks left over from acne and what not, and none of the cleansers I used ever really faded them. Well, after using this cleanser for a month, I can say that my red marks have faded significantly. It is a bit drying, yes, but just follow with a moisturizer and you should be fine. It has a creamy consistency, has little granules for light exfoliating, and best of all, it definitely evened out my blotchy skin tone.
