Eyeliner -Stila - Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz

I got this like everyone else, to brighten and 'wake up' my eyes. My skin is pretty pale with pink/ neutral undertones. But this is just too peachy to look natural on me, and it doesn't stay. It also gets kinda chalky and melts onto my long bottom lashes :( Going back to Sephora along with Clinique eye cream...

Primer/ Corrector -Pur Minerals - Color Correcting Primer
rated 4 of 5

I've been using this for while. While it doesn't do anything for my pore situation (sigh), it DOES help with redness. I actually mix this with face lotion (2/3 primer, 1/3 lotion) so that it spreads easily. Then I apply my foundation (currently lancome teint miracle). I've been applying both with my hands (bad I know), I use my blendisponge to blend it in though. I think I will try the stippling brush method mentioned.. :)

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit

I bought this on a whim b/c of it being popular. I shouldn't have strayed from my Nivea honey & milk lip balm! This stuff smells ok, but it's not nearly as moisturizing as my Nivea. I ended up reapplying this, whereas with my Nivea I very rarely have to do. My grandma like it though..

Love, love, love these! I use them about 4-8x a week (sometimes 2x a day). They unclog pores and make my skin glow :) Idk what that person below was talking about making her eyes look older.. I don't think you;re supposed to put these near you eyes! lol I got mine off ebay for around $30 for the full size

Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub (with lemon, papaya, and caffeine)
rated 5 of 5
cia_agent86 4/11/2011 9:00:00 AM

WOW! I bought this because my local Smith's was sold out of my usual 'Deep Cleansing Scrub' (the one that tingles). I had been eyeballing this since the last time I saw it but I passed b/c I couldn't find any reviews on it. I love that it doesn't dry my skin out at all (the regular one made my skin a little dry), I like that it smells very nice w/o being overpowering, I like the texture, and most of all I like the results! I guess my skin looks 'brighter' b/c it's exfoliated and clearer.. :) I was having breakouts due to dryness I think, and since switching to the simple routine of this, Caudalie's purifying treatment, and Olay's chamomile & beta hydroxy cream my skin has cleared up :) And in the PM I rotate my usual routine with retin-a .05% instead of the Caudalie treatment + Olay.

Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Blackhead clearing scrub
rated 1 of 5

My aunt bought this for her own use, but I tried it. This is so awful! It's like a cream with beads that don't really do anything, but the odd thing is that it's still dry and it makes it feel as if there's a film on my skin. I tried it a handful of times. I'll stick to the Morning Burst brightening scrub (with papaya and caffeine) and the deep cleaning one (that tingles). These actually exfoliate w/o drying my skin :)

Moisturizers -Olay - Age Defying Intensive Nourishing Night Cream

I'm just shocked that this is so cheap and it works so well for my skin! I have normal/ combo skin that breaks out. I use retin-a .05% regularly, along with Caudalie's purifying concentrate, and Kate Sommerville's EradiKate. I was getting breakouts along with really dry skin (I've used my retin-a for years now). And as soon as I started using this my skin strangely cleared up and was balanced. I wake up now and my skin is all glowy XD I guess my skin breaks out when it's dehydrated? Super weird lol I love that this sinks in without being greasy. I even use it during the day. It's only been a week but this is total HG material :) I just wish it came with a spatula if it HAS to be in a jar.. I've been using a q-tip b/c I don't have a spatula to scoop it out (bacteria for me is a huge no-no) UPDATE: On my 3rd jar, still loving this stuff :)

Hair Color -John Frieda - Precision Foam Color
rated 5 of 5
cia_agent86 3/31/2011 12:52:00 PM

I can't believe the reviews on here.. I guess because I dark brown hair and color shows up slightly on it that I didn't have a problem with the shade. I picked out Chocolate Brown (dk choc brown I believe) and I used it for the full 30 minutes (because I wanted the color to 'stick') and it came out wonderful! The application was SUPER easy, you can't really get it wrong with these directions. I had washed my hair in the morning and I didn't have any product in my hair (medium shoulder length, wavy, course hair). I used the WHOLE container and often massaged the foam while it was sitting on my head. I really like the color, looking forward to the price dropping down from $11 though...

Polishes -Essie - Wife Goes On
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE this color! I've almost used up the bottle, which is a first for me. The color is like everyone says a pink/ red, it's bright and very wearable on my pale skin. I will definitely re-purchase :) I wear this on short nails for a clean, put together look. <3

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Miracle
rated 5 of 5
cia_agent86 3/16/2011 1:47:00 PM

I switched from Sisely's foundation to this. I picked out the shade 2C based off of just reviews (I'm cool toned and fair) and bought it online. It matches PERFECTLY! I have never found a cool tone foundation that covers redness!! :) I usually get told by SA's that I 'need' a yellow based foundation to cover any redness (um I guess they're into the faux tan/ bronzed look?) with 'meh' results... I've applied this with a brush and with the blend-a-sponge, with great coverage. Also, I've used it around my blue-ish under eye circles and the same blue veins on the outside of my eyes and they're covered beautifully XD I really <3 this so far :)

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Certain Dri
rated 5 of 5
cia_agent86 2/22/2011 10:57:00 PM

I sweat a lot for a woman. I would have to consciously wear darker clothing to cover it up. I never had BO but the amount I was sweating was ridiculous! this stuff is awesome! I went around lifting my arms at work (showing my friend) lol I use this at night and sometimes during the day (mostly if I didn't apply it in the AM), but you have to make sure you wait a while AFTER you shower. Also, I'm not sure, but I wonder if I got a bad batch (my third bottle was ineffective, I'm on number four now) so if this doesn't work for you the first time, try another bottle :)

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk in Dark Brown
rated 4 of 5
cia_agent86 2/21/2011 1:24:00 AM

I use Revlon Colorsilk a lot. I think I'll stick with Medium Browns from now on because this looks VERY dark on my pale skin. It's a very close match to my natural hair color though, which is what I was going for so that I can grow my hair out w/o having to color it every 4 weeks O nm about the color being too dark! I haven't died my hair in over a month and it matches my roots perfectly, so I guess this was my original color (I haven't seen it for a while lol)

Treatments (Eye) -Mary Kay - Timewise Firming Eye Cream
rated 1 of 5

I really shouldn't have strayed from my Shiseido Benefiance 'Serum" (really a cream) even if this is cheaper. I didn't find it moisturizing even! It didn't even go on well under makeup, I just plain didn't like it. And on top of that I got a PIMPLE on my eye area! I wonder if this has silicones in it or something... weird!

Eye Shadow -Bonne Bell - Eye Shadow Stick
rated 5 of 5
cia_agent86 1/28/2011 12:42:00 AM

I just bought this in Luminous Lilac. I LOVE the brightness of the color! I've been looking for a bright, higher pigmented, lilac eyeshadow for spring and I picked this up on a whim. The color shows up on my pale skin without looking garish or chalky. And it was cheap too! About $3 :) I can't comment on the staying power yet though...

Lipstick -Chanel - Hydrabase Lotus Rouge

cia_agent86 11/26/2010 12:23:00 AM

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! I got this after seeing it on Anne Hathaway at the Oscars a few year back.. I have fairly pale skin and the same coloring as her so I figured it'd be a good alternative to bright red for me. I was right! I love this lipstick it one of my favorites, and after accidentally losing it (it was in my coat pocket, and it fell INTO my coat lining b/c I had a hole in my pocket) I had feared I'd lost it forever, and I mourned.. :( But since finding it again I just had to gush about how fantastic it is, and like another reviewer said this is all you really need to put together your look :)
