I'm changing my review for this mascara, at first I really liked this but after about a week I was no longer impressed. It thickens but nothing to "write home about"...I wish it lengthened better also. The actual formula is great quality, luxurious, and silky...But the performance isn't what it should be. Over all, a basic, decent mascara w/ a big price tag.
Love this mascara!! Makes my lashes thick & bold!! My mom had this so I tried it and I was shocked at how my lashes transformed into being volumized & dramatic!! Minused 1 lippie b/c every now & then if I over apply it can get slightly clumpy(as w/ most volumizing mascaras) but nothing a lash comb or toothpick can't fix! I have 2 favorite department store brands that I couldn't live without but this is my favorite drugstore brand. I've been buying this for over 2 years...I throw them in my travel bag & makeup bag, of course I'd buy this again!
Moisturizers -RoC - Protient Lift Night Firming Cream

WOW! This night cream just glides on my skin like silk! I was using an $80 night cream from a pricey system that I use and wanted something a bit cheaper to use every other day so my pricey cream lasts a little longer. But I didn't want to compromise good skin care in the process. So I went to the drugstore and decided against anything by Olay b/c there products burn my eyes and irritate my skin. I found this stuff and purchased it and used it that very night and I couldn't believe the rich but still light texture of this cream. Feels like a $100-$200 cream-I swear! Only wish is that it was in a pump bottle instead of a jar for sanitary reasons but maybe that b /c it's a night cream & it's thicker than a lotion, oh well!! Also, I wake up with soft, firm, and glowing skin-this will now be my drugstore "HG" cream = )
Liquid -Shiseido - Sun Protection Liquid Foundation SPF 42 PA+++
chanelnbebe 7/26/2006 2:00:00 PM
This my FAVORITE liquid foundation!! I use JI pressed foundation because i'm not too crazy about the pressed version of this-but this liquid version is the BEST out there! I get amazing coverage from this while still looking so natural. I use this in SP20 and it matches & blends perfectly on me. I also can't believe the amount of SPF this has in it, i'm so hooked!!!!
I really love this foundation! I'm a former BE user and this stuff is totally different-in a good way = ) It's more of a matte finish so I'm not so shiny. BE can be very messy(lot's of spills on my hands and vanity)where as PPB is pressed-so less mess-and easier to throw in my purse. The coverage is great! It's sheer but you can build your coverage with every swipe(I use the JI Handi brush with this-I recommend it!), but you still won't get that cakey makeup look. I got this in Suntan. You should finish this w/ the JI D2O hydrating mist-it sets the make up and will also reactivate the make up through out the day for a freshly done look...Love the fact that this has SPF in it...Will re-purchase again!!
I LOVE this face brush!!! I got the JI PPB and this is the brush to use when applying it. It's soft and fluffy but more importantly dispenses any powder makeup PERFECTLY! Gives nice and even coverage...It's a pricey brush but well worth it!!
Styling Products -Wella - Color Preserve Seal and Shine Drops
chanelnbebe 7/20/2006 3:49:00 PM
BEST SERUM I'VE EVER USED!!! I have curly hair that's been colored and I also blow out & use a flat iron on-so needless to say, smoothness & shine is something I need help with. I had been at the beach and of course my hair was frizzing out-My sis-in-law had this and gave it to me to try. Wow! With just a few drops My hair instantly lookes like silk!! It was smooth,SHINY, and just plain healthy looking!! Will def. stock up on this!! I'm addicted = )
Eye Shadow -Almay - Intense i-Color powder shadow Trio for Browns
chanelnbebe 7/13/2006 7:51:00 AM
I got this in the "bring out the browns" and I was really surprised at how flattering the colors looked together on my lids! It really did make my eyes pop! It's awesome that colors I would've never thought to pick for me work so well = )
Can't believe it took me so long to review this! I use this almost everyday and I LOVE this!! It adds a good amount of shine, and the scent it so clean-almost like how your hair smells when you just leave the salon. Sprays out in a fine mist so it won't go on heavy. A really great alternative to a sticky balm when your on the go!
An ok concealer. I love MAC so I decided when I ran out of my Lancome concealer i'd try this. Gives decent coverage but it settles badly-and kind of cakes up. I only use a little bit and apply w/ a concealer brush but it still settles in patches. Will go back to my HG concealer, Lancome.
This is a really good liner, a rich black color that glides on like silk = ) Really easy to work with! Had to minus 1 lippie b/c it will run & smudge(on me atleast). Had to do a few "powder runs" during a night out wearing this b/c it tends to not stay put in humid weather. A great basic liner. Will buy this until I can find an a liner a little more smudge-proof.
Hair Color -Clairol - Nice N Easy Color Boosting Glaze
chanelnbebe 7/9/2006 9:48:00 PM
I decided instead of a perm. color, I'd try this stuff. I got this in dark brown and that's just what I got-which made me happy. It erased the brassiness-turned my hair into a rich brown color and added softness & shine. If you have gray hair I would not expect this to cover them-it's just a sheer color, so it won't completely covr hightlights & grays. My highlights are now a dark caramel-y color, just an overall great color boost. UPDATE!!! I changed my original rating from 4 lippies to 1 lippie. This is supposed to last thru 6 washed(which isn't enough as it is) but it washed completely out in just 1 wash for me!!! Waste of $$$$-wouldn't consider buying again.
A beauty staple for me!! A shimmery golden beigy/lt. brown color that's so pretty! I wear this as a crease color during the day for a summery look-it really compliments my tanned skin tone and brown eyes = ) A favorite of mine!!
Hair -John Frieda - Luminous Color Glaze for Chestnut to Espresso Brunettes
chanelnbebe 6/29/2006 7:52:00 AM
Terrible product. It states that it provides "a hint of color" to your hair-and I would've been happy with that. I didn't have unreal expectations, but OMG-this did NOTHING. My hair was EXACTLY the same after using this. It wasn't greasy or dry afterwards like some of the other reviewers, it was just 100% un-changed. Complete waste of time and $$-will never by this again!
This is the 2nd time I got this as a sample-and I'm not impressed w/ this. It's not bad, it's just boring-doesn't do anything special(for the expensive price, I would expect something "special")...so-it's a decent free sample gift but I would not purchase thise-I'll stick w/ my Fatale or YSL.
