Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Edgy Emerald
cchughes 7/2/2012 11:01:00 PM
I prefer this shade in particular as liner instead of shadow. I find as shadow it applies patchy and unevenly, but as liner it is a great pop of color. I've received many compliments. It lasts long, too, which is great in the hot summer months. The downside is this takes a few layers as liner to get an opaque line.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Eyes Duo - Lasting Lilac
cchughes 7/2/2012 10:59:00 PM
This duo includes a light lavender/purple and a darker purple that is similar to MAC Stars n Rockets. I love this duo for when I want to do a look other than neutrals but don't want anything bold, since I believe purples are the perfect in-between. I put the lighter color on the lid and the darker on the outer part of my lid and in the crease. It was very inexpensive, it cost me about 4 dollars. The shadows can be a bit powdery with minimal fallout, but it's manageable. Pigmentation is decent, but I find they could be more pigmented; they are good quality for the price nevertheless!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
cchughes 7/2/2012 10:55:00 PM
This is a great everyday brown-bronze color. The shadow lasts all day with and without primer, and is great for those lazy days when you don't want to do too much with your eye makeup. Also, this works as a great eyeliner, providing subtle definition. It looks similar to MAC Powersurge eye kohl, but longer lasting and in a cream/gel form. I like this shade the best out of the two I have(the other being Edgy Emerald). I like apply this with a MAC 217 or my fingers for a quick wash of color. These are great alternatives to the paint pots, and are much cheaper. I bought mine for around $6 at Target without any coupons.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
cchughes 7/2/2012 10:52:00 PM
This is a great concealer for under they eyes, and it even works on blemishes! I have this in "Fair" and the brightener shade. I apply the brightener, which is a light pink color, first under my eyes and top it with the skin tone concealer, and it makes me look awake and fresh. The formula is thin, but provides very good coverage without caking or settling in fine lines. The packaging is alright, I don't mind it at all, though I know some do. I will repurchase both of these, as they are the best concealing products I've tried, in both the drugstore and department stores!

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush
cchughes 7/2/2012 10:46:00 PM
I love these! However, I took off a point for longevity, they last about four-five hours on my dry skin. I bought of the colors(excluding Fresh Pink and Peach Satin) and my favorites are Hot Tamale, Coffee Cake and Candy Coral. Even the lightest shades show up on me, but I have fair skin, so keep that in mind. The texture is so intriguing, and it's so fun to touch! I wish they did a little more with the packaging, though. I bought mine for around $7 at Wal-mart, which in my opinion is a little pricey for a drugstore blush, especially since they are quite tiny. I will repurchase though.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:59:00 PM
I purchased this in Classic Ivory. This shade was very orange, and was not a good color choice for me. Also, the coverage is minimal, so I'd recommend this for those with little imperfections or people looking for a light coverage. It gave my skin a tight feeling, and was not very breath-able on my face. The pump on the packaging is not easy to use; I often pump out too much, and it also gets "stuck" and can be very difficult to use properly. Also about the packaging, it is very hard to find out a proper shade since you cannot see the actual foundation due to the aluminum packaging. I purchased this for $8.99 at Publix, so the price isn't too bad. I will not repurchase this.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush in Rose Petal
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:54:00 PM
Color: light peachy pink Texture: clay-like, creamy and squishy Wear Time: 4-5 hours Pigmentation: sheer, yet buildable. I could wear this as a natural flush since my skin is fair. I'm NW15-20 for reference Price: 6-7 dollars I recommend this for those with very fair skin. However, the brighter, deeper colors would be better purchases and much more versatile.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:51:00 PM
This mascara is extremely wet, and clumps very easily. It didn't hold curl very well and was flaky. It didn't provide much volume, but it did give some length to my lashes. As the mascara dried out, it did get better and more manageable. I purchased this for 4.00 on sale at Wal-Mart, so I wasn't out much money; I will not be repurchasing, though.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:49:00 PM
This mascara is good for length, but you need to be careful because it can clump easily if you aren't paying attention. I prefer to curl my lashes before applying since I get better results. The formula is wet, so be warned if you don't like that. I will not be repurchasing since I love trying out new mascaras and rarely repurchase the same one.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Infallible- Liquid Diamond
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:46:00 PM
This shade is a purple-silver-lilac. It is unlike any other shadow I have. This shade for me is a bit less pigmented than the others I have, but it all works out in the end. The texture is nice and creamy, and applies best with my fingers. I purchased this for 6.99 at Wal-Mart. I prefer to use these shadows alone with no other colors because I find them difficult to blend with other shadows, but I'm okay with that since I usually do one-shadow looks. This shadow is long lasting. It looks pretty nice against my blue eyes, but I won't repurchase since I prefer warmer colors against my skin. But these infallibles are definitely worth taking a look at!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Infallible in Amber Rush
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:41:00 PM
Amber Rush is a peachy-bronze metallic color. In a way, it reminds me of MAC All That Glitters. This really flatters my blue eyes, and I love wear it as a wash all over my lids. The texture is so creamy, especially for being a powder, and these shadows apply best with my fingers, but brushes work well for me, too. All of the Infallibles I've purchased last very long both with and without primer. I will continue to purchase this shade and many others!

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Magic Lumi - Light Infusing Primer
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:38:00 PM
This is marketed as a primer that can be used to provide a luminous finish to foundation. I like to use this as a primer as well as a highlighter. Both uses provide a subtle look, just a dewy, glowy look above or under foundation. When you first pump out the product, it is a pearly white color, and when you blend it out, it appears very subtle and natural. I bought this at Wal-Mart for 12.99, which I think is a bit much for a drugstore product. Also, for me it didn't prolong the wear of foundation, but it isn't claiming to.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Infallible in Iced Latte
cchughes 7/2/2012 3:33:00 PM
This is a light, white-champagne shimmery color. I love using this as an inner corner highlight as well as a wash over the lids. It makes me look awake and bright-eyed. I can wear this shadow on its own and it will last all day, which says alot, considering my eyelids tend to be very oily. I purchased this for around 6.99 at Wal-Mart, and feel the price is good considering the quality you get. I wouldn't recommend this for a browbone highlight, since it is very frosty.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Studio Careblend
cchughes 12/24/2011 11:18:00 AM
Gives my skin a nice natural finish It doesn't feel or look powdery. In fact, my skin feels softer and creamy with this! I will probably not buy again due to price and my desire to try new things. I might though if I have money for it and no urges to try another powder.

Blush -MAC - Mocha blush
cchughes 12/24/2011 11:15:00 AM
A nice plummy pink. I tried it on in the store, but when I got home, I couldn't get the same effect it had on me in store. Also, it was a little hard to blend out; I often ended up with a very intense blush look.
