Mascara -L'Oreal - Double-Extend Beauty Tubes in Blackest Black
booda 11/14/2011 4:29:00 PM
I was ready to stop using this because it seemed to splatter all over throughout the day, but then I stopped using the primer, and just use the mascara. Voila! I finally have a mascara that seems to stay in place all day.

Skincare - Face -Avon - Anew Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel

Me: 45, some fine lines and enlarged pores. Acne prone (still!) yet flaky/dry. Sensitive to fragrance. I was so excited to find this - a fragrance free glycolic peel that will help shrink my pores! WHOOHOOO!!! Within 4 - 5 days I started to break out. I decided to try & stick it out because some folks said this is normal in the first week. By 2.5 weeks, I had some very painful cystic acne, as well as red pimples, and whiteheads. Pores looked the same. However, the flaky skin was gone. As soon as I stopped, my skin began to clear up. Bummer - i'm still searching for my HG skin product.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - All
booda 11/17/2010 8:35:00 AM
WOW - Wet and Wild, you've come a long way, baby! I bought the Color Icon trio in 3 different shades already. They give lovely shimmer, and great pigment. Are they the best there is ? Well of coure not, for $2.99! Are they probably the best DS eyeshadow I've tried lately ? Hands down. Money is tight these days & I was using some crappy DS shadows which still cost me close to $10 - and now I've tossed them all aside for these. I'm going to buy these in every shade possible.

Cleansers -Eucerin - Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
booda 11/1/2010 9:12:00 PM
This product is so-so. I'm not super sensitive - I have more of a fragrance allergy than anything, so I had no reactions to this. I don't think it's very "hydrating" though, because of the sulfates... we'll see how my skin is doing about a month into this chicago winter weather! I use Olay Sensitive Skin Foaming Facial Wash in the warmer months - that's my HG. Still looking for my HG for winter.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Length
booda 10/22/2010 11:41:00 PM
My lashes: Short, straight, and sparse. This mascara did nothing to help the state of my lashes. It looked like I didn't even put mascara on. And for some reason, my eyelashes seemed to fall out a lot more from this stuff. Waste of $6 or whatever I spent. I'll stick with my Maybelline Colossal and Falsies!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
booda 10/22/2010 11:36:00 PM
Hands down the BEST mascara I have ever tried - including some that are triple the price. My lashes: Short, straight, and sparse. Curl them first with my Shu curler, then quickly swipe on 1 full coat and I'm good to go. This stuff is so low maintenance for me.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Daisy Fuentes Style Pro Smooth & Straight Shampoo
booda 11/19/2009 9:16:00 PM
I actually liked the scent, since it's a departure from the same ol' scents of DS shampoos. This stuff left my hair feeling dry, dull, blah. Even with a good dose of the conditioner. Definitely wouldnt' buy again. At least I got it on sale.

Styling Products -Redken - Fresh Curls Curl Refiner
booda 8/31/2009 10:36:00 PM
LOVE this stuff. I have a cabinet full of partially used products promising to give me these results. This one delivers. I have fine, very wavy, dry, highlighted hair. I use this, either alone or with the spray gel - and get a wonderful result every time. Even in high humidity. No more fuzz head for me!!! Huge tube for $16.00. I will never stray & buy another creme. This stuff is the da bomb.

Treatments (Eye) -Olay - Regenerist Eye Touch of Concealer
booda 6/29/2009 3:00:00 PM
This is definitely not a "concealer". It's more of a tinted moisturizer, as another review stated. The color is quite dark to be universal, IMO. However, this is nice to use as a prep step both under the eye & all over the lid. Then I put a dab of my nice, light concealer in the corner of my eye where I need it. This stuff helps keep my undereye area looking pretty dewy all day long. So - I'll probably buy it again. A little goes a l-o-n-g way. I'm 43, have light/medium skin, some fine lines, and very faint dark circles under the eyes.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Sunblock Lotion SPF 60
booda 5/25/2009 11:34:00 AM
I have fragrance-sensitive, red, acne-prone yet aging skin. I recently developed some type of sun allergy; even with my old faithful sunscreen (spf15) I was getting a very bad burn/rash after being in sun for short periods of time. I bought because of the physical sunblock properties, high spf, and fragrance & oil free. Yes - it causes a white cast. But I followed another reviewer's advice & mixed it with my moisturizer, and then put my makeup over it & I was fine. Just gotta blend it well. For the first time, I was able to have the sun on my face & not end up with a horrific red, itchy face that night. For me, this stuff is great. Bonus: This stuff helped keep me shine free all day, apparently due to the zinc/titanim dioxide. No constant blotting sheets/powder! Yay!

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Foundation Brush
booda 4/26/2009 7:02:00 PM
Hands down, the best foundation brush I've used so far. And the price cannot be beat. I found it for $3.99 at TJ Maxx (and still it's only $6.99 at Target, etc)

Treatments -Goldwell - Colorglow Brilliant Contracts Leave-In Treatment Highlights
booda 4/25/2009 11:01:00 PM
I'm going to have to disagree with the one other reviewer here.. but I really like this stuff! I have brunette hair w/blonde highlights. It is wavy, and frizzy, yet fine.... and quite dry due to the bleach. This stuff is the best of both worlds for me. Smooths down the frizz, yet I still have tons of body!!! Tonight was the first time I used it & DH made a comment about how nice my hair looks. So - thumbs up!!

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Quad - Nude Elements
booda 4/15/2009 8:31:00 PM
FINALLY!! A neutral palette that works for my skin tone. Every other nude/neutral palette always looks to orangy/bronzey on me. This has just enough coolness to it & it works great. I can create anything from a very natural, nude eye to a smokey, evening look. Fantastic! This is now my HG eyeshadow palette.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Honey Lip Balm
booda 4/1/2009 5:50:00 PM
For lip balms, I prefer something moisturizing, and very faint, if any, scent. This was like rubbing perfumey waxy baby powder on my mouth. Nasty.
