Lip Gloss -Helena Rubinstein - Stellars Gloss- Star Snowdrop #12

I have been looking for a gloss like this with bits of glitter. I like it, but it's certainly nothing totally out of this world. Doesn't look gaudy or over the top. Didn't know about the testing on animals so have put that I will not be repurchasing.
Have only used this once so far, but I am very impressed. Before I was using Lancome Photogenic (I still have a huge potful of this left but I'm just not crazy about it) and this is so much better. Doesn't look floury or chalky. Gives a lovely, warm-looking and healthy glow to your face. And I really like the puff that is included...much better quality than what you get with some brands - like Lancome! I really like this, thanks to the MUAers who have posted reviews on this...without you I wouldn't have bought this.
Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Advanced Volume Mascara

Got this the other day in brown. I am pleased with this so far. It does give very good results. It seems to thicken and lengthen nicely. The shade is nice. It's a good trusty mascara and I definitely recommend it, not necessarily HG material - not until I've tried a few others anyway. EDIT: I'm just updating to say that when I wore this last night I put about coats of this on, it looked really great. It was quite difficult to remove at the end of the evening though.
At the moment I'm giving this three lippies. I've just got this so will probably have to update. I also have this liner in Noir - it's my HG liner. For some reason this one doesn't seem to have quite the same texture and is not as smooth to apply. I will persevere and update as I'm sure this can't be right!
I'm writing this review from memory. All I can really remember is being quite impressed with this. Nice thickening, lengthening and other such eyelash beautifying properties. When I finished with this I moved onto YSL Faux Cils, as I'm experimenting with mascaras at the moment. I would happily repurchase this.
This is my favourite. I'm not going to bother trying the myriads of shower and bath gels out there any longer. I like to try new things but this is special. It smells devine and it makes your hair soft. Normally I wouldn't use these suitable-for-hair products actually on my hair, but it's good. Everyone should try it at least once.
I so want to like this as it is a classic. I have tried so many times to like it, but I just can't. There is a note in this perfume that doesn't agree with my nose or my chemistry at all. I don't know what it is. The bottle is nice - clean and simple but I found that the cap ceased to fit after a while. It's a shame, but I do know that this can smell good on the right person.
I used to love this. I first remember coming into contact with this when I was little and used to raid my sister's cupboard to get a sneaky squirt. When I got my own bottle, I used to pile it on - so much so that I can remember going to school one day and feeling really sick and self-conscious because I had just sprayed waaay too much of this on. This is certainly a strong perfume, but with a contrasting soft powdery note. I haven't had a bottle of this for ages. In spite of my overdose, I will be buying this again. It's too good a perfume not to.
I heard that this moisturiser is particularly good for sensitive/dry skins. At first I thought it was too flowery-smelling not to be irritating to my skin, but it seems to work quite nicely. It's rich but not in a greasy nasty way and feels really beneficial. It's very likely that I will buy this again.
I never buy toners from skincare brands. I usually use rosewater as it workd beautifully and can also be bought in huge quantities very cheaply. Some time ago, however, I thought I would give this a whirl and, my goodness, THE SMELL! It is AWFUL. To me it's like potato peelings and urine. I really like the whole Dr. Hauschka concept and would like to adopt a Dr. Hauschka skincare regime, but I could not possibly use this. Apart from the terrible stench, it just didn't feel all that effective - not astringent enough. This is also pretty expensive and I just cannot justify buying expensive toners over pure and simple rosewater.
I hated this at first, purely because the smell chronically offended me. I tried the toner too and I thought the smell of that was bad but this is something else. It also seems to irritate my eyes a bit and make them feel a bit gritty even though I am pretty sure I'm not getting any of those gritty bits in there. A few months on and I find I am now quite liking this product and whenever I use it I feel that it is doing some sort of good. If you can get over the smell, I would recommend.
I haven't bought this perfume for ages. I LOVED this when it first came out but I grew sick of it because it just got a bit too flowery and feminine even for me. Towards the end the lid started to leak, but then I do have a habit of dropping things so don't take that as a reason not to buy this. I am considering buying this again soon so may come back to update.
The first time I used these I was fascinated by the gunk this extracted from my nose. These strips pulled those stubborn blackheads right out, leaving a really clear area. For some reason these don't seem to pull as much ick from the nose area but maybe I am not applying them so as to get the maximum benefit. I will probably buy these again though.
This gives a really close shave with no irritation (and I have sensitive skin which sometimes gets really aggravated after shavin) and leaves your skin feeling silky soft. Highly recommended.
Loose Powders -Lancome - Photogenic Loose powder [DISCONTINUED]

I heard good things about this so I had to get it. I'm not sure if I expect too much or something, but I'm not all that impressed with this. It's just powder to me. It's not exactly chalky but it does seem to have a tendency to look a bit floury on my skin. I must admit I do have some very dry patches on my skin so that does not help. I don't really find that it has any special properties. I may update this when I try out my Jo Malone Finishing Powder when it arrives to see whether I just have unrealistic expectations of powders.
