Drum roll...... my FIRST EVER HG product! After using this, my skin feels so soft and soothed. It removes makeup and sunscreen with no tugging or scrubbing. I have combination skin that gets super duper oily in the t-zone, but really dry in other areas, especially around the eyes. This is an oil-based cleanser. Don't let that scare you away if you have oily or acne-prone skin. Many oils are good for your skin (and many oil-free products have tons of clogging ingredients). I think a lot of people break out from products because their cleansers can't completely remove things like sunscreens and long-wearing foundations. I highly recommend this, and it's really cheap on vitacost.com ($5 and some change).
Midnight blue with sparkles! It's the night sky... if stars were blue, green, and silver. Needs a sticky base for the sparkles to stay. I added a picture to the top of the review using Fyrinnae's pixie epoxy underneath.
Eye Shadow -Fyrinnae - Faerie Glamour Loose Powder

This is such a cool color! I added a pic to the top of the review -- you can see how it changes from blue to purple. At first I wasn't sure about the arcane magic shadows, because I didn't see the point of the changing colors... but I've noticed that when they're on the lid, you can see the different colors all at once because of the curve of your eye. The only problem is, I'm having trouble getting this one to last on my lid. It didn't stick to udpp very well, so I tried udpp with Fyrinnae's pixie epoxy on top this time. It stuck way better, but didn't last all day. Maybe something like fix+ would help?
This is one I'll keep coming back to. When the tube is brand new, it seems too thin and doesn't do anything. But after like a week it thickens up just enough. I do need a couple of coats, but it is very buildable. When I want more drama, 3 coats is no problem. People ask what mascara I'm using a lot when I use this, which says a lot I think. 1 lippie off because it does have to "ripen"
I have nothing good to say about this mascara. I have pretty long lashes, and this does nothing for me. It doesn't lengthen at all. Instead of making my lashes look fuller, it just makes them stick together. Makes them like hard little sticks. Plus the brush is ridiculous. It doesn't get to the base of lashes without making a mess, and I don't think it holds enough product to coat my lashes. I get way better results with tons of other drugstore mascaras with 1 coat, but a lot of people love it. *shrug*
Lip Treatments -Soap and Glory - Sexy Motherpucker Lip Gloss
bebo1984 10/8/2009 2:09:00 PM
This really does make your lips look more plump. It last really really well. It sticks to my lips and feels kind of thick (in a good way) but doesn't feel sticky somehow! The gloss sticks to my lips, but doesn't make my lips stick to each other, if that make sense. It does make my lips feel like they're vibrating for a few minutes, and I can't reapply all day or it makes my lips sensitive. So after I apply the first time and get the plumpness, I'll use a different product later.
This is a nice mascara. I don't find it clumpy or extremely volumizing (except for the one time I went for 3 coats heh). It gives a nice dark feathery fringe. I've been asked twice (in person) during the past couple of weeks if I was wearing falsies. Once was actually by my best friend... I was like, you've seen them before! She said, I know, but they look really long. It's weird because I don't feel that the mascara is particularly lengthening. I think it's the feathery look that is getting noticed. I added a picture to the top of the review for reference (this is just one coat on curled lashes, no lash comb used)
I guess I'm allergic to something in this, because it gave me a gross rash at the corners of my mouth. What really sucked was not knowing this was what was causing it for weeks... I was constantly self-conscious about it. I even started a new habit of chewing on my hair to try to hide it with my hair haha. So I stopped using this for a few weeks because it made my teeth sensitive, and the rash went away. Then I ran out of my other toothpaste and used this again for a few days, and the rash came back. I don't know what ingredient was causing it, but I haven't had this problem with any other toothpaste.
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Eucerin PLUS Intensive Repair Hand Creme
bebo1984 9/2/2009 11:34:00 AM
I bought this hoping to sooth exfoliative keratolysis. I'm not sure if anything can really help with that, so I'm not reviewing it based on that. I haven't had any EK symptoms since January or so, so I've just been using it for normal dryness. Even though it does feel soothing when applied, it doesn't seem to moisturize very well. I think the silicones make the skin feel soft and smooth to the touch, but that's only a superficial coating of the skin. The skin underneath isn't healed. My knuckles, palms, and cuticles are still very dry.
Eyeliner -Fyrinnae - Inks Liquid Eyeliner in Sensual Scarlet

This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's just as advertised! I added a pic wearing this on my waterline. It's a lovely vibrant red. I'm going to have to play with it a bit to figure out a non-goth look for it. I think it would look pretty with some purple or orange eyeshadow, but haven't tried that yet. :)
This is a very pretty sky blue with gold shimmer. I added a picture for reference.
Eyeliner -Fyrinnae - Inks Liquid Eyeliner in Bionic Brown

I really like the Fyrinnae inks for the waterline. Pencils don't last on me, and I find this more comfortable to apply than gel liners with a stiff brush. They last all day on my waterline, and the colors are all very interesting. This is a pretty, flattering color. I added a pic to the review, but like all Fyrinnae products, it's more complex and pretty in real life! If you look closely at the picture, you'll see a little dab of it in the lower lash line, and you can see the shimmer in it there. A tip for these liners -- let your waterline dry out slightly before applying. I just pull my lower lid down the teeny tiniest bit, then sweep or dab it on while holding the brush horizontally.
Yeah, it's great for healing and moisturizing your lips. Unfortunately, it gives me pimples around my mouth!
I love this blush, and I've never been into blush! I forgot I had it, and was looking for something that wouldn't clash with my eye makeup and remembered this. Such a great color for my pale, peachy pink skin. It's pigmented enough to show up, but not so pigmented that it's hard to apply. You can lightly build it up. I've tried Nars orgasm (which I returned) and the Milani dupe luminous, but those both make my pores look huge. This doesn't. It just looks smooth and pretty!
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
bebo1984 7/23/2009 9:50:00 PM
I love this eyeliner! I stopped using liquid e/l years ago because I could never apply it well. After reading reviews of this, I'm glad I bought it! The applicator is great and applies the liner with no hassle. Plus the formula is really good. Lasts all day on my oily lids. No smudging or flaking. It dries to a nice pretty sheen. Not sparkly, not matte, just smooth and black. Plus I got it BOGO (got it in mineral gray as well, which is really pretty)
