Primer/ Corrector -Estee Lauder - Matte Perfecting Primer

I usually use Too Faced Sensitive Skin primer and should have just stuck with a good thing when i got it...BUT i am always out to try new things so I picked this up with my recent Double Wear Foundation re-purchase. I love all things Double Wear and when i tried this on my hand in the store it gave a nice glow to my skin. The MA said it is great under the DW Foundation or mixed with it. When i tried this both ways i got no glow out of it...hmmm very dissapointed! Also it broke my whole face out...surprise since this is the first DW product to ever break me out. Ah well...i guess it must have some oils or something in it that irritated my sensitive skin!

Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder

This powder is simply amazing! Cannot believe the price...Better than Make Up Forever and Smashbox HD powders put together. Goes on like a dream and lasts throughout the day setting makeup invisibly. Please keep making this one E.L.F. !!! I only wish they would package it in a different container that has some sort of twist closure so you could travel with it or put it in your purse without it going everywhere.

Palettes -Smashbox - Beauty Exposed

I guess i am a victom of the packaging/marketing for Smashbox products...I keep trying them even though I am less than please with their quality and find everything average and really no better than drugstore products. Eyeshadow Palette: It is just average eye shadow...it is not particularly creamy or pigmented and the shades are wearable but nothing special and don't make my green eyes stand out at all. I was hoping these would be shadows i would rely on daily for work time wear but i have to go back to my Cargo Warm Neutral palette for that! Blush: Again average..nothign special...doesnt last well Lip Gloss: Average...nothing special ...wearable summer color but doesnt last long Primer: not a fan...i use Too Faced Sensitive skin instead as this one breaks me out

Okay...it was expensive...and it's worth EVERY PENNY! I am in my late 40's and really wish i would have purchased this 20 years ago! This product has made an amazing difference in the texture of my skin by making my pores look smaller, removing fine lines, improving tone/eveness and exfoliating. I recommend this to EVERYONE!

HORRIBLE stuff - I bought a trial size to sample it b/c the normal size is so expensive i did not want to buy a full size and not like it. I am so glad i did the trial size. The container is awful to start and the product pushes in from the sides to the middle so you get uneven application. Once i applied it my underarms started itching like crazy - after 5 min my underarms were red, stinging, and itchy. I had to wash it off immediately to get rid of the stinging, burning, itchy sensation. Going back to my favorite Mitchum gel!!!

Pros: -Cute container - i actually really like the packaging Cons: -Horrible brush -Translucent? More like ghostly...i am pale and this made me look like a white piece of paper -GLITTER - sheen or dewy is okay but big chunks of glitter are awful -Grates on skin -Application is not smooth -Drying and shows all dry skin patches

Wow, i cannot even believe this has any positive reviews. I was really hoping to like it...but..... Cons: -Expensive for drugstore foundation -Application with beauty blender goes on blotchy -Does not wear well - after a few hours its on in some places and off in others making skin appear uneven! -Melted off my skin in the heat of summer -Not lasting -even with powder -Color selection is terrible - I am light skinned yellow tone and all of the shades are pinky/peachy undertones -Colors much much lighter than what appears in bottle FORGOT to mention: It broke me out after one application and showed all the dry patches of skin that my Estee Lauder Double Wear doesn't show at all - also there are huge chunks of glitter in this...it can't be good for your skin at all! Pros: -The dispenser! Love the pump

Bronzers -Tarte - Park Avenue Princess

Love Love Love this bronzer! It is the ONLY bronzer that i have ever been able to use that looks natural on me and not orange or too dark brown. Goes on beautifully with a smaller kabuki brush and makes me look as if i have a healthy glow! I am really liking a lot of Tarte products and this one is among them! No breakouts on my sensitive skin with their natural ingredients. The only thing that bothers me is their gel liners in the pot that make my eyes itch, water, and burn!

Pros: -Relatively inexpensive -Glides on smoothly -Great color! the perfect olive Cons: -Does not stay on -Smudges -Not waterproof as claimed -Smears under eyes -Cannot use on water line Very dissapointed in this as it is the best color of olive green i have ever found! Doesnt matter though if it won't stay on! Especially under the eye

Would have given this one a 5 if it were not for the weird attached puff thingy on top that makes application a nightmare! I LOVE the powder - it sets my foundation and my t zone does not get oily the whole day - even in swampy Arizona summers! I got a sample of this in the urban bride kit and wish i could say i would re-purchase this but until they fix the awkward container or i figure out a way to open it and remove the puff i won't be buying another.

Tinted Moisturizer -Too Faced - Beauty Balm- Vanilla Glow

I am really middle of the road on this one...The color is nice (usually wear Estee Lauder Double Wear in Sand). Great as a primer but not so great on its own. Makes my face look like an oil slick and i HAVE to put powder on over it...which defeats the purpose of a BB Cream. Garnier's BB cream is 100x better for 1/2 the price! Pros: -Works as a foundation primer -Color match -SPF that doesnt break me out -Easy to apply with Beauty Blender Sponge Cons: -Lack of coverage (light at best) -Makes my face look oily/shiny -Pricy for a tinted moisturizer -Soaks into skin leaving no coverage after a few hours -Requires foundation or powder over it - cannot be used alone

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Lipstick #08 Stay Ginger

IN general i am in love with all things Double Wear! They do what they say and stay in place until you take them off. This lipstick is no exception! I have several colors and Ginger is one of my favorites! It goes on smoothly and stays on without drying my lips! Doesnt transfer to cups, food, etc. Wonderful stuff! Worth every penny!

I have reading about this product and watching videos online of women who love it so wanted to try it. My skin is generally great and i can get away with a BB cream with no problems. Ulta had an introductory special with the Foundation, concealer and mineral veil so I got it for $20 to try it out. Pros: -Can't think of any except i was hoping this would be better during the hot arizona summers than a liquid foundation Cons: -Application is time intensive (brush, tap, buff) -HAVE to use a primer before application -Pores look larger -Accentuates any dry skin -Accentuates any lines in skin -Messy container and application -Made my face ITCH terribly -Obvious makeup look when applied Generally very dissapointed in this product and cannot beleive women like this! They must have never tried a quality foundation before...

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Honey

The color of the lipstain is nothing like the color on the packaging - The package is pink and the color of the lip stain is brown...go figure! Pros: -Price -Chubby twist up pencil application Cons: -Dries my lips out -Different color than packaged -Color changes after it has been on for a bit I love Tarte Lip STains and Lipsurgence...these look the same but obviously the ingredients are less desirable.
