Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse

I have been using this foundation almost everyday for the last couple of months...when I first started using this, i broke out a little bit with tiny bumps on my forehead...so it went to the back of my drawer as wasted 10 something dollars. then for some reason i decided to give this a try and the breakouts became much less severe and now i dont have any problem with breakouts with this anymore. OK, with that little piece of history out of the way, I want to say this is a pretty good foundation...it gives a nice smooth finish, like the name, and a little dewy glow etc...i dont think its too oily for me and I have normal-combination skin... I gave it 4 and not 5 because I do wish it would last longer...i think it lasts about 4-5 hours, but fades away somehwere after that. oh and also, i think you can get away with using pretty much any brush with this. I use either the elf studio kabuki or the sigma (big powder brush dont remember name). you can also use a cosmetic sponge and it works really nicely as well...

rated 5 of 5

wow...this is a pretty awesome top coat...it dries reasonably fast, but what I love about it is that it dries SO hard...its impossible to dent the polish...AND the finish is so glossy and shiny! this is the end of my search for a good topcoat...will definitely buy again!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Cotton Blossom body spray

mmmmm....what a comforting smell...reminds me of my childhood...it smells like those ponds powders that people used a decades ago.. (at least where I grew up :-| well smells really are subjective and my objective in writing this review was for people to get an idea of what they are buying... I am a person who like simple, natural, light floral scents..and not so much the bright, fruity, or the ones that smell like whisky (dark scents?)... so if you think that description fits you, then I'm pretty sure you would like this one :) However, I just want to note my dissatisfaction w/ bbw body spray packaging! OMG my spray broke on me and I can't spray my favorite scent on me anymore :( why bbw?? why??

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Quad - Tropical Fusion
rated 4 of 5

The blue and the teal-sea-green are beautiful. They are quite intensely pigmented and have a sligthly shimmery-metallic look. (although not a whole lot). Both these colors have pretty decent lasting power and are quite easy to blend and overall good quality. The orange-peachy color is less pigmented, but it works as an everyday lid color for me. The lime-green color never ever shows up on me and might show up in lighter skins, but i dont really see the point of that color as its not even pretty and its bad quality anyways, but then when did you last buy a palette where you liked ALL the colors in it? So in conclusion, this palette is a nice buy if you get sudden whims to wear bright colors shadow (like I do) and don;t want to spend a fortune for those 25-odd days in a year when you do wear them. I apologize for over use of hyphens :-|

Scrubs -St. Ives - Renew and Firm Apricot Scrub
rated 4 of 5

If you think the regular st. ives scrub is too harsh, then this one is prefect. The exfoliating beads are much gentler and my skin does feel quite smooth afterwards. Not bruised as it would with some harsher ones. It is alos quite moisturising which is great because then I don;t feel that dry, rough stretched skin when I come out of the shower. As regards the "firming" and "anit-aging" technology that this claims, well I do sometimes notice some added plumpness in my skin after I use it. But really I am not sure if I am the best judge for anti-aging stuff as I am 26 and don't have many wrinkles yet. (Knock on wood) Oh well...anyways, I think this is a good basic gentle scrub. & I would recommend it.

Lipstick -Revlon - Revlon Super Lustrous-Sassy Mauve
rated 5 of 5

This lipstick looks a beautiful blue toned pink on me. Its very wearable. I usually just dab on a little for a pink stain w/ some lipgloss and that works best for me. If I smear/ glide it on, the blue undertones conflict with my olive-brown (tan?) south asian skin so I have to be careful. The texture is really nice though and I wish I could just swipe it and it would still look nice :( Anyways, yeah i would recommend this one and I think most skin tones would be able to use it.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Pink Chic
rated 2 of 5
asd1random 6/29/2011 4:40:00 PM

OK this is NOT a warm or bubblegum pink that you see in the swatches! All the swatches on hand or even the actual color of the stick are very misleading. Its a really light, blue toned Frosty pink. The frost is not flattering at all, especially for tan or dark olive skin. I don't understand how it worked for so many people, because I find it hard to believe it looks good on any skin tone except MAYBE the really fair, untanned ones. The smell is really bad and cheap and i thought the lipstick was pretty expensive for a bad drugstore product @ ~5 USD Ah well, hope I am able to return it.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Mint Sorbet
rated 3 of 5
asd1random 6/29/2011 4:33:00 PM

This is a pretty color but gosh its so hard to apply! I think its too thick and I somehow cant apply very easily. Also, I guess for tan skin its a little tricky to pull this one off as it looks extra brighter than it would on fair skin. So there's a little word of caution. But overall not a bad nailpolish, quite enjoyable in summer and cheap too :)

Polishes -Revlon - Pink Chiffon
rated 3 of 5

I really, really like this color. I think its prettier than most pinks you can find in the drugstore, even though there are so many of them. I wish revlon had gotten the formula correct though. It is definitely streaky,as the other reviewers said, and hard to apply. The brush doesnt seem to help its case as it is a pretty thin one. Well, anyways I did figure out a way to apply it nicely enough to be able to wear the pretty pretty color decently enough. I did two coats since I didnt mind a little translucency. The first coat however, has to be a really thin one. Also, you should wait for this first coat to be completely dry before you apply the second one. I wouldt repurchase as I dont want to bother with all the work to apply it.

The lid color and the black color suck. the other two are workable but they still pretty much suck, only a little less. Don't buy.
