Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Britney Spears Believe
rated 5 of 5

Wow...I'm shocked by all the negative reviews! I find that I like this smell...at first, I was skeptical because of the patchouli in it. But I find that the guava and tangerine notes balance it out nicely! Decent staying power too! My only complaint is that the shape of the bottle can kind of make it hard to get a good grip on the spray nozzle. Overall though, a very unique smell among all of Britney's other candy-sweet, generic fruit scents.

Lip Treatments -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Clove
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 5/21/2011 1:06:00 PM

Another NatureLuxe lippie I love! This is a warm, medium toned brown with a slight hint of pink to it when it's on...perfect for a natural look! I'm an NC20-30, MUFE 118, for reference. There is some slight shimmer to this, but it's not over the top. I can't wait to try some more colors from this line!

Lips -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Cabernet

This is the perfect sheer red...that truly is sheer! As much as I love the traditional red lips look, it can be too much at times. However, this balm is a red I can wear any time, any day, and never look overdone! Now, watch Cover Girl discontinue these in a few years just like they did the TruShine lipsticks I loved!

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - MoistureShine gloss in Pure Cider
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 5/17/2011 8:04:00 PM

I love this gloss! In fact, I find that I'm reaching for it more than my high ends! The color doesn't resemble cider all that much on my lips, though it is a nice MLBB. It's medium toned neutral pink that's about two shades darker than my natural lip color (NC20-30, MUFE 118), and the glitter isn't over the top. My only slight complaint is that it doesn't last very long, but then again what lip gloss does? I've even had NARS glosses that I had to reapply pretty often. Overall, great for drugstore makeup--I was skeptical at first because Neutrogena had changed the packaging and redid all colors. But the the texture and the berry scent from the old version is still the same! I'd love to try some of the other colors!

Lip Gloss -Milani - Glitzy Glamour Gloss in All About Me
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 5/16/2011 9:31:00 PM

I like this color...a dark, rust red shade that I don't usually see in other makeup lines. This is definitely opaque, just like the other reviews have been saying. I don't mind this quality so much, but I thought I'd mention for it those you who like your glosses to be more on the sheer side. The scent is also pleasant...very fruity. Overall, good quality for a drugstore product, and I wouldn't mind checking out other colors in the line.

Fragrances -Prada - Infusion d'iris edp
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 5/9/2011 1:00:00 PM

I love this scent! I get a clean floral with notes of green tea. And I swear I smell a slightly spicy note, maybe black peppercorn? My only gripe is that it doesn't seem to last long. But other than that it's a good clean smell with a kick.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Jennifer Aniston

annaharris_227 4/3/2011 5:16:00 PM

I finally got to smell this one on my skin at a Sephora, and I'm not getting any ocean scent or beach smell at all. I definitely can detect the floral notes, but there's this soapy overtone that tops it all off, and it's just not my cup of tea. Honestly, it reminds me of those little shell soaps my mother used to keep on the back of the toilet when I was a kid! Not a fragrance that I immediately want to buy!

rated 3 of 5
annaharris_227 12/29/2010 5:57:00 PM

I'll admit, this is a step up from the original Fancy, which I'm not a fan of. But on me, this is just a lighter version of the original. Too much cupcake accord (or whatever bakery good it is) for me! I can maybe detect a slight hint of floral on the drydown, but not enough to make me want to add this to my fragrance collection. However, if you hated the heaviness of Fancy and you just want a lighter version, Fancy Love might be for you!

Styling Products -Suave - Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 12/25/2010 3:32:00 PM

I love this styling cream! Normally I'm skeptical about Suave products (aside from their clear gel shampoos and their oatmeal lotion), but this does the job perfectly at keeping slight frizz at bay! I can't tell the difference between this and some of the more expensive styling products I've tried over the years. It even smells exactly like the Matrix original. For two bucks and some change, what do you have to lose?

Moisturizers -Olay - Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 12/25/2010 3:27:00 PM

LOVE this moisturizer! I've finally found a moisturizer that absorbs quickly, doesn't break me out, and is still emollient enough for my slightly dry skin/ And at a price that isn't the equivalent of an arm and leg! My only slight beef is the packaging--not too fond of having to stick my fingers in the jar, but when it works this well I won't complain too much. I've been searching forever for a moisturizer to replace my old Garnier one that was discontinued, and I've finally found it!

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick
rated 3 of 5
annaharris_227 12/20/2010 5:47:00 PM

As beautiful as this looks in the pan, this one doesn't show up on me very much as a blush. I'm an NC20-30/MUFE 118, and it works better for me as a highlighter. However, I already own NARS Copacabana and that does the same thing. So, I ended up sending Pink Quartz back today. But I can see how beautiful this would look on those of you with lighter skin tones. I think I'll try the Rose one next--hopefully I'll be able to get more color out of a different Shimmer Brick shade.

Treatments -Ojon - Restorative Hair Treatment
rated 3 of 5
annaharris_227 12/19/2010 4:41:00 PM

I tried as a sample with a Sephora order, and this is another one of those super-expensive products that aren't worth the hype. Basically, it's a blend of two types of palm oil with some plant and flower extracts added in. If you like palm oil that much, you can buy it from any natural food store. As for the Ojon product itself, it does liquefy quickly once you've got it in your hands. A little also goes a long way. It did build up on me, but given that I just got my hair cut short and it's not dry and damaged anymore, I'm not taking off points for that. Now, on to the smell (like rancid peanut butter): It does linger! In fact, it stayed in my hair for about three days! This combined with the fact that you can simply buy palm oil anywhere else for less is why it gets two lippies off. But I can see how people with super-dry would like it, which is why I'm giving it a three.

Eyeliner -Prestige - Total Intensity Eyeliner Deepest Black
rated 2 of 5
annaharris_227 12/19/2010 3:53:00 PM

Prestige's website dared me to compare this to my favorite department store liner, so I did. Just like the reviewer below, I too can't get this liner sharp enough to get a thin line. I like my eye liner super-thin! I'm not really into the super-thick line. And no, it's not my level of expertise because I can always get my MAC Powerpoint liner sharp enough. Or maybe it's not that I can't get the Prestige liner sharp enough, but the fact that it's so creamy it's impossible to get a thin enough line with. And another thing: This seems to smudge really easily. Sorry Prestige, you're just not MAC. But I will give it two lippies for going on smoothly without dragging or tugging.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
rated 3 of 5
annaharris_227 12/17/2010 11:18:00 AM

I tried this as an alternative to MUFE's HD foundation, since my MUFE had hit its expiration date. Both look very natural on and last all day. And I actually don't find the glitter in PhotoReady bothersome at all! But to me, I don't get enough coverage with the Revlon PhotoReady. I'd call it medium coverage. MUFE gives me the full coverage I need. When it comes to the HD foundation trend, I think which foundations you'll like depends on the coverage you prefer. If you like light or medium coverage, you might some of knockoffs (Smashbox, Revlon, Coastal Scents). But if you prefer full coverage, I'd stick to the original MUFE HD.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational ~ Red Revival
rated 5 of 5
annaharris_227 12/17/2010 11:08:00 AM

I thought I'd try this red during one of Ulta trips, as the Maybelline commercials and ads tout this as the "universal red" for all skin tones. Surprisingly, I like it! Most supposedly "universal" reds don't work with my complexion. I'm a MUFE 118, MAC NC20-30, for reference. This is does pull a little towards the fuschia side on me, but there's enough red in it to make it wearable. It's loud, but not flat-out ridiculous. I wouldn't make it an everyday red (that's what my NARS Rouge Basque is for), but for a party or special occasion, yes!
