I love this shadow because it has elements of my two favorite shadow colors: purple and silver. Depending on the light, this can look like a vibrant silver or a shimmery lavender. Since it can go both ways, it pairs with endless shadows. I especially love it on the lid with Silver Ring in the crease. This is definitely a staple in my makeup bag and I would repurchase.
Lotions/ Creams -Lavanila - The Healthy Body Butter - Vanilla Grapefruit
angelakay016 4/10/2009 1:22:00 PM
The Grapefruit in the body butter is significantly more evident than the hint of it you get in the EDP. So basically if you want more grapefruit I would suggest layering the EDP with this body butter. I love the texture of it, the smell is heavenly, and it lasts all day. The next one I am trying is Vanilla Coconut and I hope it can be as awesome as this is!
I recently received this in a swap and the first time I applied it, I did so with the amount that I normally use when applying Penny Lane. Well this one is much more pigmented than Penny Lane so I looked like a complete clown. I washed it off and tried again, using my fingers, and pressing a tiny amount onto the apples of my cheeks. This was much better. My next time, I tried with a stippling bursh and I believe that this was the best application. I will probably use this one more often in colder months because it gives that "out from the cold" look and isn't too overpowering on my PPP complexion.
Moisturizers -C.O. Bigelow - Oil-Free Face Gel [DISCONTINUED]

This is a defnite HG for me and since it's made it's way into the BBW outlets I have been able to stock up.. yay! I have oily skin without too many flakes and this gives me that nice smooth finish. The kinda that I wanted with the silicone based primers, but this one doesn't put me in danger or clogged pores. It's very light and the perfect amount of moisture for my skin. It leaves me matte, I think that's the best part. Don't know what I am going to do if I run out of this stuff!
Yet another MAC gloss that is eerily similar to MAC Viva Glam VI SE. This is a nice shimmery pink that goes on fairly sheerly and can be layered over many different lipsticks. Althought it is really pretty I don't find myself reaching for it that much because I have many other similar colors.
Much too sticky for even me, a MAC lover. I am partial to doe foot applicators and didn't care for the brush on this one. The color alone is similar to Viva Glam VI SE which I definitely prefer to this one.
Unfortunately this isn't too flattering on me. It's a very pretty peach frost gloss, but it washed me out. I think I might be too cool toned too look good in this. I wouldn't repurchase but I would imagine that this would look great on warmer toned ladies, especially those with darker skin.
Lipstick -MAC - Pro Longwear Lustre - Fully Charged
angelakay016 4/9/2009 2:30:00 PM
Love the color, love the concept, but the product isn't a homerun. I feel like I constantly have to reapply the topcoad for this, otherwise the color will start to flake off on my inner lips and that is not a good look. I can't imagine how it must be with the darker colors. I know it's difficult to make a moisturizing semi-permanent color, but I would just like one that is a little less flake-prone (and I always exfoliate before application).
This is such a gorgeous nude... and the perfect partner to a smoky eye. I was afraid that I was going to be too cool complected to pull it off, but it was actually quite flattering on me. This is beautiful alone, but you can punch it up by adding MAC Underage over it and you get a gorgeous glossy nude. Love this color!
Love this shadow. My current use for it is to use the 219 to line my top lashline with this rather thickly then go back over it and draw a very thin line with liquid liner. The purple right next to my green eyes really make the color stand out and I get tons of compliments when I wear this. I haven't tried it in the crease yet, but I am sure that this would be awesome as part of a sultry smoky eye. Would definitely repurchase.
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
angelakay016 4/9/2009 2:17:00 PM
Even just for packaging alone, I find this superior to the UDPP. The squeeze out tube lets you get out all of the product, which is the most important thing to me. This keeps color true and helps it to last all day. Definite HG in my opinion. I use this religiously every day and will repurchase any time it runs out.
I used to see reviews on this all the time touting it as the perfect highlighter and I never paid much attention. When I had MAC gift card I figured why not give it a try. Let me tell you, all the claims about the perfect highlighter were true. This is glamorous, yet subtle. It gives a sheen to the area right below your brow bone but it doesn't give it a white cast that some other brow highlighters can create. I think the best thing about this product is that I have yet to find a shadow (and I have a ton) that it doesn't blent seamlessly into. I have never seen a product work so well with completely different tones, for example bronzey browns and glittery silvers. There is a ton of product so I doubt I will run out but if i do I would buy this again because this is a pemanent addition to my stash.
Loose Powders -Coastal Scents - Silica Spheres Powder
angelakay016 4/9/2009 1:40:00 PM
This performs just as well as MUFE HD but for a mere fraction of the price. If you are oily, take my advice and order this immediately! After using my skindinavia makeup finishing spray (also great for oily girls) I finish with this and I can go hours without blotting- which is something that I have never been able to do! I do own the MUFE version, and I will probably keep it, but this one is the one that I will continue to repurchase. Great product!
This is probably my staple blush. I am a NW15 and this is the one I reach for most often. It comes off surprisingly sheer so you can layer it to achieve the desired effect. This is a cool pink with purple undertones... seems like it's similar to Pinch o Peach but with just a little purple added in. This is also a good blush if you are in a hurry because it polishes your look but it's hard to mess up since the application is sheer and buildable. This is a definite re-buy for me.
Loose Powders -Ben Nye - Neutral Set translucent powder
angelakay016 4/9/2009 1:22:00 PM
One of the best setting powders I have used. You can get this online or from theater supply stores for a really good price. It sets makeup without looking like you have added another layer and is great at absorbing shine. My only gripe is the packaging, it comes in a shake out container and sometimes I would end up wasting product until I found an empty sifter jar and decanted some. I will definitely repurchase this when it runs out, but that won't be for a while since you get tons of product.
