Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5

This is hands down the most amazing eye make-up primer I have ever tried. It totally made my eye make-up smudge proof and budge-proof, and my eyeshadow is now able to withstand the oil slick that is my eyelids! Added bonus of making eye make-up color really vibrant. I just wish it came in a better container that allowed me to finish up all the product. With the bottle it's in now, once I'm no longer able to get the product using the wand, I need to break the bottle to get up to 30% of stuff still left over.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 5 of 5

I love love love this cleanser! I used to have very problematic skin (rough, oily, prone to acne, lots of blemishes, lots and lots and LOTS of pimple scars) I switched to Cetaphil because it helped clear up my baby brother's rough skin, and I've not looked back since! It seriously made my skin smoother, my pores look smaller, and my skin texture more refined. I've also stopped getting acne except on days near my period. Highly recommend this to people who have sensitive and problematic skin.

Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Microdermabrasion and Peel Kit
rated 3 of 5

I think this product should be used very sparingly. I used to use it every two days and after a while, my face started to feel very rough. I think it's because of the peeling effect. But there are so many other products that help my face peel without the rough skin feel so this product is kind of pointless for me. I'll continue to use it until I finish the entire tube but after this, I'll switch to the Kiehl's microdermabrasion scrub.

Cleansers -Olay - Total Effects Anti Aging Anti Blemish Cleanser
rated 1 of 5

For a drugstore cleanser that smells funky and didn't really take off my make-up very well, this thing is hella expensive! I've used it several times after buying to try Olay, but it hasn't been a very good experience (did nothing to smoothen my skin and keep it clear of blemishes!) And as mentioned, it really smells funky. i can't stand it.

Lipstick -Shu Uemura - Lipstick
rated 4 of 5

I have conflicting experiences with the Rouge Unlimited lipsticks. In general, all of them are nice, creamy and long-lasting. The array of colors is dizzying. The overall quality of the product is commensurate with its high price tag. However, I find that there are some colors that are particularly drying, and some which are wonderfully moisturizing to the lips. I find most of the reds (especially the matte reds) very drying on my lips, and that's disappointing because I love using reds and sometimes forget to reapply my lip balm under my lipstick. On the other hand, most of the other colors are very good to my lips that I don't really need lip balm under to make the lipstick glide smoothly on my rather textured lips. Overall though, I think this is a great product, but it needs buyers to do some good budgeting in order to afford a collection of the colors.

Toners -Shu Uemura - Phyto-Black Lift Radiance Boosting Lotion
rated 5 of 5
alien21xx 12/23/2007 9:06:00 AM

This product is amazing. I am under-30 so I suppose most people would wonder why I even need anti-aging products. But this lotion/toner is just really great. Used after the Shu Uemura cleansing oils, it gives the skin a perfect, moisturized and balanced finish that's ready for your emulsion, night cream or make-up. The bottle is a bit bulky so that's kind of a turn-off, but everything else about this product lives up to its promise. Love it!

Treatments (Eye) -Lancome - Primordiale Intense Eye
rated 2 of 5
alien21xx 12/23/2007 9:03:00 AM

I'm so disappointed with this product as it did nothing to fill out the burgeoning wrinkles I'm getting on my under-eye area. As a general eye-area moisturizer, it's pretty good: lightweight cream that didn't give me any millia, non-greasy and dries to pat fairly quickly. But this product doesn't live up to its promise of preventing wrinkles from forming/deepening because after 2 weeks of using it, the wrinkles I have under my right eye hasn't disappeared. If anything, I think it actually deepened. A waste of good money on this and my only consolation is that I didn't have to pay full price for it.

Styling Products -L'Oreal - Studio Line Springing Curls Mousse
rated 1 of 5
alien21xx 12/17/2007 9:16:00 PM

This mousse just generally sucks. I used it when I had permed hair before and it made my curls crunchy and too stiff (like a hairspray effect.) I've also used it after I've cut out my curls by applying some to the roots and blow-drying my hair upside down to get some volume at the top of my head. Didn't work and gave me crunchy straight flat hair. I'll toss it out next time I clean my product stash. It's pretty useless.

Treatments -Kiehls - Over-Night Biological Peel
rated 3 of 5
alien21xx 12/17/2007 9:04:00 PM

I bought this product because I don't like going for actual chemical peels (hassle getting out of the house just to go to the derma) I think the product works on my skin quite well: I had noticeably more radiant and even skin every morning after using it. It's helped minimize my pores quite a lot and even helped even out/minimize some of my pimple scars. What I didn't really like was the fact that it almost never dried on my face. I like to sleep with a pillow or stuff toy over my face so most mornings, the product ends up rubbing off my face. Also it made my face itch some. Not terribly itchy, but just as annoying because I hate getting facial products under my nails. Fortunately, I did not get any burns, bumps or even scratches. I think this product is very useful and I'll continue using it until I finish up the whole bottle, but I'd probably not buy another one after and just look for a peeling treatment that doesn't make my face itch.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Star Powder
rated 4 of 5
alien21xx 10/9/2007 1:08:00 AM

I bought this in a whole bunch of bronze and copper colors and I totally love it. I this dry because I have swimmingly huge eyes that would look to severe with too-bright colors. First, the powder is so fine, but so pigmented. I'd say it's better than the pigmentation of my MAC pigments, so I don't need to use a lot for a beautiful wash of color on my eyelids. Second, it doesn't crease at all on my lids which is a real plus because I hate creased shadow. And last, there's no fallout of powder on my face or clothes at all while I'm applying. I'd say this is much much better than MAC pigments. For the price, I'm taking out one point off my overall review because it's quite pricey for a small pot. But other than that, I have absolutely no more complaints. This is LOVE. I think I'll be buying up all the other colors quite soon!
