Mascara -Korres - Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara

I'm quite weird with mascara's, I've never really found the one until this one. The only other mascara I really liked was Dior Show but the Korres one is so much better for me. I have a bit of length but no density, my eyelashes are quite sparse and so everytime I would overload so as to achieve volume I would usually get clumps or a bit of a spidery look, but not with this one. This gives you a beautiful and very natural finish, therefore, I can apply and apply and apply (to achieve super volume) without any clumps whatsover and it really fills them in beautifully. So, in that way, I get really luscious and full eyelashes in an even way. No matter how much I overload (and I do with this one), the end look will be bigger and better va va voom lashes without looking ungroomed.

My favourite parfum. I feel very sensuous and sexy when wearing this, just the way I like my perfume to make me feel- well when I'm in the mood and referring to my evening scent mostly :) In addition, men always, ALWAYS give me compliments when I wear this and they cannot sniffing this on me! (er, not random men, of course!- the sniffing part)

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - Super Matte Loose Powder
rated 4 of 5
Upset 2/2/2012 8:50:00 PM

The only powder I wear because: Does not settle into fine lines / Does not dry out my fairly dry skin / Keeps my face matte for hours on end / Excellent for touchups as it does not cake / Smooths out my forehead area without needing to apply a primer or makeup (only moisturiser). So a big yay. Downside, expensive, but does last for ages. I apply with a big fluffy brush and then use the pom pom when I'm out for touchups.

Lipstick -Korres - Guava Moisturising Intense Colour #13 Natural Pink
rated 5 of 5
Upset 2/2/2012 8:35:00 PM

My absolute favourite lipstick EVER. It is soooo smooth that it covers any flaws or slight chaps on my lips and it LASTS. It has a gorgeous buttery matte finish and the colour, oh the colour is divine. I have loads of high end lipsticks in numerous shades but I just stick to this one. I apply with a lip brush for more precision. The shade is a beautiful nude pink/beige, not too light or dark. Sometimes I add a lighter shade lipgloss when I'm going for a more "bronze" "sunkissed" face.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - translucent loose powder

It's not bad, but no where near as good as my HG MUFE's. I gave this to my sister and went back to my HG as I found it too drying in some areas on my face. I also think MUFE's offers a more natural and matte finish.

Yep, this is a wonderful product. I have this in shade #4. Shade #4 is the perfect match for a natural look. I was using Chanel's Eclat Lumiere before in #20 (Beige Clair) and I think I like both. It does not accentuate fine lines and I absolutely love wearing this instead of foundation as it is super smooth and gives you a flawless finish without cakeing in the least or being/looking heavy (based on the fact you don't have blemishes etc.) I do wear a hydrating eye cream however when applying under my eyes and I think it would have been 100% perfect if it were a teeny teeny bit lighter for my under eye area. Will re-purchase.

Polishes -Maybelline - Express Finish - Denim Dash
rated 5 of 5

Ohhhh I LOVE this shade. I had been meaning to buy a dark blue polish for ages this winter (I'm soooo tired of wearing black or related very dark shades) and stumbled upon this while at the supermarket -it was the last one- and instantly purchased it. I usually am a fan of higher end nail polishes but this was perfect. The colour is gorgeous, not too dark, not too light but just right. My nails looked polished and the colour truly is trendy without being tacky. My DH also loved this on me as well and he is usually a fan of the french manicure.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Impulse Body Mist

So I had an appointment after work and did not have any perfume with me that day nor had I worn any, so I ran out on my break and purchased an Impulse (Talk about being impulsive!) I sniffed quite a few and was bought Impulse Very Pink -blend of floral and fruity scents. I was pleasantly surprised! This smells like a high end fragrance! -unlike the others on selection which reminded me of air fresheners. Good impulse buy and I have since used it all up!

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid
rated 2 of 5
Upset 6/11/2011 6:43:00 AM

Ever since coming to Australia, my skin has become awful, and you'd think having such harsh rays here you could find a decent sunscreen, but no. The selection is limited and no high ppd sunscreens. Being from Europe, I always wore a high ppd, and even on some days where I skipped sunscreen, my skin was still great. But ever since arriving in Australia, I developed brown spots and some lines on the outer corner of my right eye, so upset. Prior to this one, I was using Chanel's UV Essentiel Protective UV Care Anti Pollution SPF 50 which is when brown spots appeared under where my sunglasses nestle. So disappointed. So, I found this on strawberrynet that ships to Australia, I've always worn European sunscreens but this was awful. It would not sink in, just sat on top of my skin feeling slimy. It was also just too greasy. I would apply loose powder over it which would hide the shine, but it just felt so heavy and my face looked "angry" and unpolished with this. Awful. So I am back to just using my HG Roc Hydra Bio Active Anti Oxidant moisturising cream spf 15 and/or Clarins' Sun Wrinkle Control Eye Contour Care SPF 30 which is fantastic for my face- feels and looks like a primer and they have kept me covered completely. (Not for intense sun exposure however). On my next online purchase I'll also order SS from Lancaster-which I think are underrated. A few of my friends in Europe use Lancaster SS and swear by them. (They are popular in Mediterranean countries). P.S. I also ordered Clarins' Super Restorative Tinted Cream spf 20 in #02 so I'm curious to see how that will hold up to incidental sun exposure.

Treatments (Eye) -Serious Skin Care - Reverse Lift Eye Cream with Argifirm
rated 4 of 5
Upset 4/30/2011 12:38:00 PM

I really like this eye cream. I've noticed from stress in the past year my eye area has suffered quite a bit (from hardly any lines at all to some noticeable ones and slight lines starting to occur on the side as well). Anyhow, I decided to try this cream and I have noticed an immediate lifting effect when using it but I'm not too sure it goes beyond topical or superficial. But, I would purchase again as it does smooth out and firm my eye area when I use it and like the finishing results it delivers when doing so. If I'll be wearing concealer, I dab over a more moisturising eye cream like Shiseido's Benefiance, or if I'll be in the sun, Clarins' eye sun block.

Toners -Lancome - Tonique Douceur
rated 1 of 5
Upset 4/30/2011 12:08:00 PM

Did not like this toner at all. Felt like it left a film on my skin and nor did my skin feel clean after finishing off with this; it seemed to just make my skin appear awful when using this toner, no clarity or freshness at all. In addition I started noticing I was breaking out into tiny pimples, and my skin hardly ever breaks out. I left it mid way and went back to my hands down best toner Payot's Tonique Purifiant. (I also did not like that the bottle does not have a pump)

Toners -Payot - Tonique Purifiant

I think Payot is seriously underrated when it comes to skin care products. I have tried a few and have become a big fan since. I'm onto my second bottle of this toner (I order the 400ml (with pump) one from strawberrynet at 38.00AUS$) and could not be happier. I did try Lancome's Alcohol Free Tonique Douceur but left it mid way and went back to Payot's. It does a great job of lifting impurities and making my skin feel so refreshed and clean without drying it out at all. My skin always looks better when I use this. I also tried Payot's cleansing milk "Demaquillant Essentielle hydrating milk with shea butter" and love it also.

Makeup Brushes -Lancome - Blending Shadow Brush #17
rated 5 of 5
Upset 4/30/2011 11:52:00 AM

Love it. The tip of the brush is perfect for adding a deeper colour onto the crease or beneath the lash line and for more "pin pointed" applications, the rest of the brush is perfection for blending or using for a wash of colour onto lids. It's so soft too. Great brush. Would love to also purchase the #1 powder brush before surrendering to the famous Hakuhodo brushes. (I also have #7 from Lancome, the cheek brush which is lovely also). Purchased from strawberrynet at 20.00AUS$.

Blush -Laura Mercier - Cheek Colour in Rose Petal
rated 5 of 5
Upset 4/30/2011 11:42:00 AM

Would I buy this again? Well, I did without remembering I had bought "Rose Petal" about a year ago and would still use! So now I have two :) Fantastic smooth texture, matte without looking dull and the colour is perfection, a beautiful flattering blushed pink (without looking like a clown) with a tiny hint of peach? Love it.

Eye Shadow -Clinique - Duo Tiger Lily
rated 5 of 5
Upset 4/30/2011 11:24:00 AM

I LOVE this eyeshadow duo. I saw it on strawberrynet at 12.50AUS$, which is a steal and I am so glad I ordered it. I have been wearing the lightest shade non stop. The texture is buttery smooth and the colour really makes my light green eyes pop. I sometimes dab a bit of the darkest shade in my crease and blend the lightest all over for a "smokey coral/peachy/bronze" look, but usually just wear the peachy colour on its own with black eyeliner and mascara. Fantastic wearable shades with amazing texture and no fall out even when I use my fluffiest eye shadow brush swirling it on the eye shadows and applying straight after.
