Loose Powders -Australis - Ready Set Go Finishing Powder
TMK6959 12/31/2011 4:54:00 AM
This is an exact dupe of MAC's prep+prime transclucent loose powder. Read my review of that- the Australis version is exactly the same. I adore Australis- ever since they did their massive redesign a while back they are coming out with a lot of super afforable products that are at par with the higher end brand. Keep up the good work Australis!
Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light
TMK6959 12/31/2011 4:44:00 AM
Next to my Prep+Prime Transluscent Powder, this is the most amazing powder I have ever used. They are both equally amazing in their own rights. The texture of this powder is incredibly dry and finely milled (almost like a stick of chalk) yet it provides an incredibly natural, dewy and glowing look! This is possibly the most multi-use product I've ever used. It works as a finishing powder, a light-coverage foundation, an eye brightening eyeshadow, a bronzer (I own two- one in #LIGHT and one in #MEDIUM for bronzing and contouring), a contour, and a light dusting adds a nice glow to the decollatage area. Oil control is good- it mattifies, but never LOOKS matte. There's always a glow. Wear time is pretty good- I find myself having to reapply twice daily on oily skin. Overall, I adore this and won't ever switch powders again. It gives me the most beautiful finish (ESPECIALLY IN PHOTOS!), it's one of the only powders that doesn't irritate my skin, and I'm happy with lasting powder and ease of application. Everyone should give this powder a shot, it is the holy grail of powders. This is coming from a super picky powder whore! I will buy this again and again. My search for the perfect powder is over.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Midnight Fantasy Britney Spears
TMK6959 12/29/2011 11:37:00 PM
This is scrumptious. A real pick-me-up scent. I purchased this today after testing both this and In Control- I'm in love. This is less sugary than Fantasy, but equally as delicious. The berries and vanilla are just delicious. Lasting power is better than Fantasy and Radiance. Bottle is cute, but in a tacky way. I will repurchase- this scent captures my personality brilliantly and is my new signature.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Britney Spears In Control
TMK6959 12/29/2011 10:41:00 PM
This is absolutely scrumptious. I tested this at my local pharmacy today and was absolutely amazed! It is like a grown up version of fantasy (which I love). I could only fit it into my budget to purchase one perfume, so I purchased Midnight Fantasy (LOVE IT!) after much deliberating and am arranging to get In Control in a swap. Lasting power is excellent- Fantasy wears off mye in under an hour, but this one is still smelling great after 6 hours. The bottle is stunning. If I couldn't get this in a swap, I would surely pay full price for one. UPDATE- After the swap didn't work out due to shipping regulations, I purchased a 100mL bottle of this today. I am so glad I did! This is one of my all time favorite perfumes. The smell gets better and better throughout the day. It morphs from a sweet vanilla (my husband and brother in law seem to think it smells like vanilla coke) to a rich, creamy, grown-up creme brulee. Lasts 6-7 hours on me. Delicious. I'm smitten with this.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Radiance by Britney Spears

I am a Britney fragrance lover. It makes me cringe writing that. This one, however- I'm not sure if I love or hate. I can put this on one day and it will be a delectable, mysterious scent and the next day it will smell like cigarette ash and air freshener! I love this on the good days, but it's far too tempramental for me. I never know whether I will get the good or the bad when I apply this! So, no, I won't repurchase. Packaging is kinda cute but tacky.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #275 Medium Angled Shading Brush
TMK6959 12/28/2011 5:36:00 PM
This is just ok- not good, not great. I'm not particularly impressed by this brush. Overall it does a so-so job but I have found it tends to flick eyeshadow dust where I don't want it. 'Tis going on my swap list.

It makes me feel dirty writing this... but I am a huge fan of Britney's scents. There, I said it. They are beautiful and feminine and delicious and go so well with my body's chemistry... and my husband adores them on me (with Fantasy being his favorite). This is so yummy and reminds me of a vanilla cupcake. I love it from first spray to dry down! (Which is an amazing dry down) I'm no expert on perfume so I'm not gonna talk about notes and all the smells I can pick up in it, but it is a truly beautiful EDP and one of my signature scents. I receive compliments on this all the time and don't find it overwhelming in the least. Minus one lippie for the lack of lasting power. Yes, I will repurchase!
Great brush. Perfect for tightlining or lining with eyeshadow. I don't have a single complaint. I would buy this again.
Another HG brush from MAC. I've found this to be the quickest an easiest way to apply creme foundation. A couple of strokes and DONE. Applying liquid with it is a pain, but I don't have the patience to apply liquid foundation with any type of brush so I suppose my opinion shouldn't count in that department. Undoubtedly the best foundation brush I've ever owned. I'll repurchase if need be.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 263 Small Angle (Ox & Synthetic hair)
TMK6959 12/28/2011 1:52:00 AM
This is a brilliant brush. It is ideal for lining with eyeshadow over eyeliner and is also great for applying highlighter to the browbone. I would repurchase. MAC doesn't often dissapoint.
This is good. Not great. I think I will stick to my 316 for eyeliner. I won't repurchase.
Once again, MAC, I'm impressed. This is probably the best eyeshadow brush I have (my Avon eyeshadow brush is a close second). With the 219 there is minimal flicking of eyeshadow dust and it easy to get excellent shadow coverage and even distribution. I would repurchase. Reccomend.
I am very rarely dissapointed with MAC brushes, and this is no exception. It's great for smudging and applying eyeshadow to the outer corners. It didn't wow me like other MAC brushes (187 and 316, I'm looking at YOU!) but it's an excellent brush nonetheless. For me, this isn't quite worthy of HG status, but definitely deserves 5 lippies. Would I repurchase? Sure.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #168 Large Angled Contour Brush
TMK6959 12/28/2011 1:40:00 AM
This is a good brush... but not quite HG for me. It creates a lovely look with blush and when used for contouring, but it doesn't do such an amazing job that I just HAVE to have it (I have had cheap eBay brushes that can easily do the same job, or better). I won't be repurchasing. My poor wallet doesn't deserve such a painful blow for something that just. isn't. worth. it.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
TMK6959 12/28/2011 1:34:00 AM
Foundation that applies like a dream every single time... what more could a girl want? If you're like me and you have a whole lot of awful liquid foundations that just don't work for you sitting unused in your makeup case, I dare you to try them all with this brush. You might be pleasantly surprised. This brush makes crappy foundation look good and good foundation look absolutely incredible. If you're after flawless, smooth and seamless makeup look no further. The 187 also happens to be brilliant for making pressed powder look smooth and like your own skin. With so many makeup brushes I have found my pressed powder to sit on top of my skin and look thick and chunky, but not with this brush. This is the ONLY brush in my collection that buffs powder into my skin so well that it looks like my skin but better. It's also the best brush ever for highly pigmented blushes. Get this brush (or several!) I can't recommend it highly enough! If the need arose, I would repurchase fo' sho (but I certainly hope I never have to purchase another one... My poor wallet).
