Moisturizers -Lancome - Primordiale Skin Recharge Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15
Sjess 3/26/2013 6:04:00 PM
My favorite daily moisturizer! It just makes my skin look so much better! I have used it for at least 2 years now (this one and the jar version), and although I use something else now (EA Ceramide plumping blabla, bought it VERY cheap on sale) this is by far my all-time favorite. Will repurchase as soon my 3 EA jars are finished!

Toners -Lancome - Tonique Douceur
Sjess 3/26/2013 5:59:00 PM
My all time favorite toner! I use this in the evening after removing my make-up. Takes away the last bits of foundation and mascara after the cleansing lotion (also Lancome). This is an unmissable item in my bathroom! Price wise it is a bit expensive, but as you don't need a lot it's a good value for money.

Powder -Max Factor - Facefinity Compact
Sjess 3/26/2013 4:14:00 PM
Normally I'm not really a foundation user. I picked this up because I started to get some blemishes and a little bit of rosacea around my nose for which I need a bit more coverage than a BB cream/TM. I love that I can easily build this up to how much coverage I need. The colour I use is Natural, which is a tad too dark for me, but as I don't really use that much it's not really a problem. I have noticed some shimmer when I'm in the full sunlight, small con in my opinion.

Fragrances -Burberry - Body
Sjess 3/26/2013 9:01:00 AM
I have received a generous sample of this and while I normally love Burberry fragrances but this one is bleh... It just has too many things going on at once. Sweet, bitter, spicy, fresh... Make up your mind already! It really is like I sprayed on multiple scents at once, not a good thing! Really a disappointment, I was expecting something simpler for a fragrance named Body. Ended up scrubbing it off, I got a real headache out of it :(...

Palettes -Catrice - Absolute Nude
Sjess 3/15/2013 3:08:00 PM
With all the nude palettes everywhere I was getting really curious! But as I hardly wear eyeshadow (I just can't be arsed to be honest...) I didn't want to drop €50 on the Naked palettes. So this little gem is heaven sent! It's only €5!! And Catrice eyeshadow isn't half bad so I decided to give this a spin. First of all, they claim that the palette includes shimmery and matte shades, but I have yet to find the matte ones... But that is the only con as far as I'm concerned. The colors are real neutrals, not too warm or too cold, so wearable for everyone I think. They are really blend-able, and they are not too shimmery for my taste. As I'm 30+ this is a big plus as shimmery eyeshadow tends to get in the fine lines! I have noticed some fall-out on my cheeks, but as I'm not an eyeshadow expert it could be because of the way I put it on ;). It lasts pretty well! For all the nude newbies, this is the perfect starter palette!! Highly recommended.

Lip Treatments -Vaseline - rosy lips
Sjess 3/12/2013 7:56:00 AM
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this earlier! I have like 4 cans of this lying around everywhere! This is by far my favorite lip balm. Keeps my lips in tiptop condition, gives a nice color, smells (and tastes...) good and it's very cheap! HG lip balm!

Fragrances -Cartier - Baiser Volé
Sjess 3/12/2013 7:54:00 AM
I received a few samples of this. My first reaction was WOW! Love it!!! But after spritzing it on it turns to an old lady fragrance unfortunately. The opening is very nice, but during the day it just turns completely around to a very floral granny scent. Too bad!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Candy Apple
Sjess 3/12/2013 7:50:00 AM
I just love these lip butters! I also have it in Pink Truffle (a good MLBB) but this one just steals the show! What a lovely warm red this is! Too bad the other colors don't suit me, but I'm completely happy with the 2 I have :)!

Moisturizers -Chagrin Valley - Facial Oil Sesame Rosehips
Sjess 3/12/2013 7:48:00 AM
Very good facial oil! I use this as an occasional night treatment. It moisturizes very well, it gives me silky soft skin and the fact that it is completely organic is also a big plus. One small con: it smells absolutely horrible. And with horrible I mean really nasty! It's fragrance free, meaning that they didm't add perfume, but the natural smell of this oil just makes me gag... Maybe I'll add a drop of lavender oil to make it smell less bad..? Anyway, good oil, good price, awful smell, that's about it!

Mascara -Chanel - Le Volume De Chanel
Sjess 3/12/2013 7:35:00 AM
This is a volumizing mascara like the beautygods have intended it! Really black, no clumping, gives big fat lashes and it's real easy to use! No 5 minutes per eye perfecting every lash, but straight up defined lashes within a few strokes. It lasts pretty well, no flaking, but it won't survive a good sweaty workout unfortunately. The price is high, as any other Chanel mascara, but in this case I think it is totally worth it. This is as close to a HG as it can get!

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Emporio Armani She

This is the only fragrance which I have bought multiple times. It's very versatile, you can wear it during the day at the office, but it's also completely in it's place at night while going out. Highly recommended!

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Infallible X3 (NEW)
Sjess 2/22/2013 9:41:00 AM
This a review for the NEW Infallible lipstick. I have this 312 Incessant Russet. I've searched for a longlasting lipstick which stays put but isn't drying or crumbles for like, forever! This is as close to my perfect longlasting lipstick as it will get right now. Colour stays put, I've eaten lunch, drank loads of tea and juice, ate my dinner, went to the gym and the colour is still perfectly on. The balm attached makes it really comfortable, although the colour looks really good without it too!

Top/Base Coats -Essie - Good to Go! The Fastest Drying Top Coat
Sjess 2/22/2013 2:59:00 AM
I normally use SH's Insta-Dri but when this was sold out I thought to try this one. Well... Not impressed to be honest! It makes my polish come of in sheets! Doesn't last really well and the drying time is noticeably longer than Insta-Dri. All in all a disappointment. Oh, and to the reviewer who claimed that quick drying topcoats are supposed to turn goopy in the bottle halfway through: That's just ridiculous! They should make the bottle smaller if that is the case.

Moisturizers -Lacura - Q10 Day Cream
Sjess 2/20/2013 8:03:00 AM
I've used this (and the night cream) off and on for the last 3 years, but I keep going back to the high end stuff. I know it's lame but I miss the luxury feel when using this €2,50 cream... Also the low spf is a real dealbreaker for me. I want a minimum of spf15 on my face! But that being said, it is a very good cream for a very low price so if you are on a tight budget grab this!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Tinted Lip Balm
Sjess 2/20/2013 7:50:00 AM
I have these in 3 colours: Rose, Hibiscus and Tiger Lily. The Rose is by far my favorite, it is a true MLBB. Hibiscus I bought when the Rose one was sold out but is just a tad too light for me, I only use this in winter. The Tiger Lily one is a nice warm orangey-brown-pink, wearable the whole year. Texture is lovely and soft, my lips are nice and moisturized. Only con is that they don't contain any SPF which I think is a must these days.
