Like the other reviewers said this is a slightly frosty-shimmery pink. I wouldn't classify this as a warm or cool pink, just pink. Pretty, pigmented, and blendable. And cheap! update - I find myself reaching for this color a lot. It complements every other color I own. It looks great in smokey eyes, colorful eyes, neutral eyes, everything!
This color is so pretty! I love it! It's a lightish blue-toned pink. The formula is awesome - it's creamy and it feels sooo light, like chapstick. I was wearing a blue shirt with this today and let me tell you, it looked incredible :D I will definitely be buying more NYX lipsticks. Can't beat the price, either.
Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Cherry Culture Cherry Gloss
SierraMascara 9/8/2008 8:25:00 PM
So I got this free like everyone else and I actually like it a lot! It's moisturizing and not sticky (a little thick, but I like it). It has that classic fake-cherry scent. The rollerball is fine (you should probably only use this on bare lips!). Oh and it gives a nice natural reddish tint :D
So, this is my first and only MAC product. (OMG get the pitchforks!) Anyway, I love it! A pink with purply blue undertones. Layered over black it turns completely purple. Over brown it's a gorgeous plummy-mahogany color. It looks good with blues, purples, and pinks, and probably anything else you can think of. At first I wasn't so sure if I would like it but then I realized how versatile it was. I'll probably rebuy! update - my MAC stash is growing... ;)
Vapor is the perfect inner corner and browbone highlighter! I also love making a charcoaly-silver smokey eye with it. This shadow is soft, pigmented, and blendable. It has no blue undertones, it is pure light silver. It doesn't wash me out or look hookerish. ....Yay! update - This looks awesome on the center of your lips over lipgloss for a 3d effect. It's also a pretty good cheek highlighter for pale gals. I love how versatile this eyeshadow is!
Cleansers -St. Ives - Apricot Cleanser-Blemish Fighting
SierraMascara 9/1/2008 5:37:00 PM
I got this because I didn't want to tear up my skin with the Apricot Scrub every single day. I like it - it does a good job of keeping my skin clean. I dunno if it helps with breakouts but it's okay. It feels good and smells good. But recently, I have found something strange about this cleanser - it's shimmery. I was always wondering why my hands were shimmery after washing my face with it.. but I would look at my face and see no sparkles, so I kind of ignored it. But after looking at my skin in a zoom mirror, there are tiny shimmers all over my face! I highly doubt that shoving sparkly things in my pores is going to help my acne, so I'm going to stop using it. Maybe it was just my bottle!? Or maybe the sparkles rubbed off from the tube... Hmmmmm. Oh well. I won't rebuy.
Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head Control Freak Serum
SierraMascara 8/25/2008 10:26:00 PM
I use this gel when I straighten my hair. I apply a small amount to dry hair and instantly it is less poofy and frizzy! It also seems to make straightening easier. It smells okay, I honestly don't think the scent is anything special. The sparkles are pretty, but like another reviewer said, they are pretty much glued to your hands the entire day! The bottle is cute - It's like a glue bottle. It's easy to control how much product comes out and the top doesn't get goopy. I can tell that this bottle is going to last me years - I've had it for maybe 1.5 years so far and I haven't even used 1/4 of it! Then again, I've used it probably an average of twice a week. (I get really low maintenance with my hair during summer vacation...ha.) Five lippies!
This is a sheer frosty silver lip gloss. It works on my pale skin as a nude. I like wearing it with a charcoaly-silver smokey eye. It's really neat and futuristic looking without being too porn-starry or garish. The scent is very strange, I can sense the soda smell in it but it also has a strong herbal background. It lingers for a while too which can be distracting. I took off half of a lippie for both the lasting power (It's okay) & the scent. I would buy again, but I'm pretty sure they don't make this flavor anymore. (I bought it like eight years ago & recently found it... Do lip glosses have expiration dates?)
Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Butterscotch Topaz Lip Smacker
SierraMascara 8/25/2008 8:31:00 PM
I got this when I was like, eight, but I still have it.. teehee. I really don't like it much. It has rainbow colored glitter with silver shimmer in the background. The glitter is very gritty and not pretty. The scent reminds me of a little bit of butterscotch mixed with Elmer's glue. I give it two lippies because the packaging is adorable and it does moisturize well. I love Lip Smackers but not this one!
Sheer pearly silvery white. The formula is very streaky. The color is pretty and all, but I just can't get it to look perfect! It's a little boring on my pale skintone as well. I'll probably use this bottle up and try to find new uses for it, but I won't rebuy.
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Jet Black
SierraMascara 8/22/2008 4:35:00 PM
I like this eyeliner. Goes on smooth, stays put mostly, easy to smudge or not.... It fades a bit through the day but really not much. Yay, it's an average yet functional black eyeliner! I think I would give it a 3.5 if I could.
I love this color sooo much. The packaging makes it look like it would be more of a foresty green, but it's actually a very pretty teal. Staying power is pretty good for how soft the pencil is. My brown eyes look really pretty framed with this color. I think any eye color could pull this off, though. Yes I will rebuy!! Here is a picture of it after a long and hot day with no touchups... as you can see the top line stayed pretty well, but it transfered to the crease a bit (I wasn't wearing a base). The lower lashline smudged/faded a little. I probably wiped it away along with sweat sometime during the day :P (Pleasant imagery, I know.) Click continued!
I have the Colorful Mat #1 - Black and the Colorful Duo Cream/Powder #7 - Mauve Harmony. I'll start with the black shadow - The packaging is good and the shadow is pigmented. I use it for my crease or wet as liner. My only complaint is it's not that easy to blend but it will if you force it! Oh, and I don't think it's a completely true black - more of a dark charcoal. The mauve duo - Packing is also good. The medium purple powder is pretty sheer, but I like it. It blends well and it's shimmery. The light purple cream is kind of chunky but it's also pretty. I got this on sale for six bucks which is good considering the pan is pretty big. I don't think I would have paid the original $16 for it, though. Overall I would describe these shadows as 'good.' Both will crease without primer but many eyeshadows do. I would give a 3.5 if I could - 7/10. I'll probably check out some more colors!
This conditioner helps make my hair smooth and healthy. It doesn't weigh down my curls. I haven't had any split ends while using this along with the shampoo. It smells delicious.. the scent might be a little strong for some, but I like it. The last time I bought this it came with a few free samples which was cool :). It's cheap, too. The packaging is a little blinding, but it's cute. Will purchase again!
This shampoo doesn't weigh my hair down at all. It cleans and moisturizes my hair without making it dry or greasy. And, as an added bonus, it smells awesome. It works when I want to wear my hair smooth and straight or with my natural curls. Just what I want my shampoo to do! I haven't seen any split ends since I started using this (..coincidence??). Oh, and it's cheap. I'll buy it again!
