Eye Shadow -New York Color - Metro Quartet-The Best of Broadway

A great natural yet smokey look in one palette. Not top quality but does the job especially when layered over a cream base and some dark pencil. Good to throw in the bag without the worry of breaking an expensive palette.

Blush -New York Color - Powder Blush In Park Avenue Plum
rated 3 of 5

Lovely slightly terracotta pink brown (very similar to Mary Kay's sunny spice and Revlons Toast of New york blush) not at all plum as the name suggests. A very safe option for those with super pale skin like me who are afraid of overapplying or want to tone down the cheeks. Doubt this would show up on a medium complexion but on me it is lovely but I do have to layer quite a few times. A nice cheap blush option but definitely not top quality - you get what you pay for.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Single - Antique Jade

A dead ringer for MAC humid though maybe just a tad less yellow than humid. Great applied over black shadows and liners for a night time look. too glimmery for me for the day time but I feel the same about humid. Get this instead and save your $

Blush -Maybelline - expert wear new formula apricot flush
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 3/30/2013 7:50:00 PM

Fantastic glowy apricot blush. Surprisingly pigmented for Maybelline - most of their blushes don't show up even on my pale super white skin. Looks highly metallic in the pan but is more of a sheeny glow on the skin. Wouldn't recommend if you have huge pores, but lends a lovely glow indeed. Reminds me of an old Estee Lauder blush I had as a teenager. Great summer glow for those who want to look more peachy as opposed to bronzy (bronzer just doesn't work for me).

Blush -Cover Girl - TruCheeks "4"

Pretty shades but just too frosty and sparkly to boot - really enhances those most minute of pores (they look like craters with this on) and the middle shade has silver glitter throughout which is gawdy.

Eye Shadow -Rimmel - Glam Eyes Quad 002 Smokey Brun
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 3/1/2013 4:36:00 AM

This is a lovely cheap little quad. Lovely creamy vanilla, taupe and golden bronze paired with a dark smokey purple brown. All looked a bit too shimmery for me in the pan (I hate shimmer/glitter in anything) but appears more of a uniform sheen on the skin. This quad is very chic and really brings out my amber/green eyes. Lasted pretty well only minor creasing by the end of the day and little wear. Gives a great smokey daytime eye with some black smudgy pencil.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush - Mellow Wine 833D
rated 2 of 5

Sorry but just don't get the hype about this blush. I bought this shade as it appeared the most neutral in the available shades and having had great results with their Color Icon Brulee shadow and thought I would give it a whirl. Just a awful slightly warm sunburned looking unatural russety red with a magenta undertone. Texture was ok highly pigmented but only serves to make you look like a clown. Might be nicer on darker skintones though.

Blush -Revlon - Golden Affair Sculpting Blush- Rose Rapture

Gorgeous pinky beige rose blush. The gold frosting is very subtle and just gives a sheen without sparkle. Lovely blush formula very pigmented unlike all of Revlon's other blush products. Bring this back!

Liquid -L'Oreal - Lumi Magique Foundation

This gives fantastic coverage and truly lights up the face - but amazingly no glitter (unlike Revlon Photoready) even went outside in the midday sun with a mirror and there was no sparkle whatsoever. I would highly recommend this for dry skins and even mature skin as it is a lovely creamy consistency which doesn't enhance lines pores or wrinkles. No reactions so far (fingers crossed) I have N1-2 'creamy ivory' which is called 'pure pearl' in my country and it is a fantastic shade for my super fair yellow skin (usually wear Revlon Buff for reference) but this is a tad lighter which Is even better. Looks peachy in the bottle but blends out beautifully on the skin. Could be my new fave!

Polishes -Maybelline - Express Finish - Mocha Blast
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 2/28/2013 3:33:00 AM

Perfect super dark chocolate verging on black, has a slightly burgundy undertone that makes it alot more wearable than the yellowy undertone of most dark browns on the market. Dark and vampy yet wearable enough for the office being that it is chic super dark, glossy and not quite goth.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eyeshadow Due--Bronze Star
rated 5 of 5
Shanplum 2/14/2013 2:54:00 PM

I have the original formula in the old purple/gold packaging, I purchased it in 1998 and it is still going in the year 2013 this has and always will be (until it is used up) my go-to smokey bronze going out night look with black eyeliner. My compact is so worn it is cracked and held together with a hair tie but the shadow is still perfectly pressed in it's pans.nI think I am truly devoted to this little eyeshadow palette I would hate to be without it. It is part of my life haha

Blush -Rimmel - Blush in Santa Rose
rated 3 of 5
Shanplum 2/9/2013 4:51:00 PM

A great little blush if you are super fair (probably NW-20 or less) as it wouldn't show up on medium/darker tones - and you are looking for a peach that isn't orangey this is a great neutral pinky peach with cool and warm tones (neutral) to give a great flush of colour. Very natural looking on the skin, looks like it has some shimmer in the pan but it appears as more of an invisible sheen on the skin. A great blush for very little money however you need to apply every few hours or so not at all long lasting like all Rimmel blushes so loses a point for staying power.

Bronzers -Elizabeth Arden - Bronzing Shimmer Powder
rated 5 of 5
Shanplum 2/1/2013 9:11:00 PM

This is the only bronzer I have ever been able to wear (I am incredibly pale but yellow toned) as it is highly neutral i.e not cool toned and not overly warm either and the stripes all blend nicely to a lovely soft beigey tan hue. I think the 'shimmering' is a bit of a misnomer but gladly so as I hate glitter everywhere. This is more of a superfinely milled pearlescent glow than a shimmer. A high quality product as to be expected from EA.The packaging though rather beautiful is prone to breaking and mine is now held together with a hair tie. I will be sad if I run out of this as I think it is long discontinued.

Blush -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Blush in Spring Flower 008
rated 3 of 5
Shanplum 2/1/2013 6:12:00 PM

Great little blush for the price a good mix of pink, beige and mauve for when you want a good neutral without any orange. Great for fair skin, the mid shade appears quite shimmery but when blended together makes a nice sheen. Wear isn't fantastic but it is a cheap product so re-application is inevitable during the day. Can work as neutral eyeshadow in a pinch also.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick
rated 3 of 5

I am reviewing Sheer Linen - a fabulous pinky mauved brown (slightly browner than their all time fave Fairest Nude) however the texture is a bit glossy/greasy for me and melts all over the place and gets in your hair (I am not a gloss fan) but still a lovely product.
