Top/Base Coats -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - Flurry Up topcoat

Awesome glitter polish. I have this in gold too, and I just saw they make it in a copper-y color as well, so eventually I'm gonna have to get my hands on that. The glitter is chunky so it looks great on it's own, with a neutral polish, or a bright color underneath. It's smooth so it doesn't chip off easily, and layers great so you can build up to the level of sparkle you want. Love it!

Styling Products -Pureology - Texture Twist
rated 5 of 5
RedHotPants 6/8/2011 1:33:00 AM

Best hair product I've ever used, for curly or straight styles. Use it to make straight hair piece-y, almost works as a gel to provide hold/definition to curls, and OH, the volume...there's nothing Texture Twist can't do. (Did I mention it smells delicious??) My stylist taught me to use it by pumping a small amount, rubbing it between my palms and then clapping my hands together first to decrease the "fibers"...if you do this you'll notice that little strings fly everywhere. I don't know why, but doing it that way works better for me than just using it straight out of the bottle. Anyway. BUY THIS STUFF it's the bomb!! Worth every penny.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Leaves
rated 4 of 5

This IS the holidays. I love the candles and scented oil, and although the smell reminds me of autumn/Thanksgiving/winter/Christmas, I burn this scent all year round because it's so delicious. It's seasonal, so just go on eBay and stock up...totally worth it.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Dark Kiss- Lotion
rated 5 of 5
RedHotPants 6/2/2011 11:45:00 PM

HEAVENLY. I keep a tube of the shea hand cream in my purse and I have literally had men smell the scent as I open the tube and come over to compliment me. I bought the scented oil for my oil warmer and my house has never smelled sexier. Be prepared to beat hotties off with a stick if you slather this stuff on.

Fragrances -Marc Jacobs - Lola

I definitely bought this perfume based on appearance---I LOVE the bottle. The perfume is nice, but nothing to write home about. I do get compliments on the scent all the time though. I have tons of perfumes and might buy this again if I don't find something that fills its gap in my collection.

Fragrances -Givenchy - Very Irresistible
rated 4 of 5
RedHotPants 6/2/2011 11:37:00 PM

This is probably my favorite perfume to date; I've been wearing it since high school. Sexy and definitely a "night-time" perfume. I just bought the 2011 summer edition "Very Irresistible Tropical Paradise"...smells similar (although nothing can touch the original) and the bottle is pretty, which half the time is my reason for buying the perfume anyway. Love this stuff.

Foundations -BeneFit Cosmetics - Play Sticks
rated 3 of 5
RedHotPants 6/2/2011 11:28:00 PM

I am always on the hunt for a foundation that will last all day without becoming an oily shiny mess by lunchtime. Usually I do my research online but I got lazy and let the SA at Sephora take the wheel. She picked out the Play Sticks in Paper Dolls, and I have to say, the color match was perfect and at first I really liked the stuff. After a month or so the honeymoon ended and the Play Sticks was melted off my face by noon. I do like the convenience of the packaging though; it felt expensive and it fits perfectly into my purse. I still use it from time to time for touch ups, but I never did get through the whole tube because I had to give up and start my quest for an HG foundation all over again. Overall, I'd say stay away if you are shine-prone but otherwise this stuff may work for you.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - ColorBurst Papaya
rated 2 of 5
RedHotPants 6/2/2011 11:15:00 PM

I got this for free because I spend too much money at Ulta. Looking at the ColorBurst line, it seemed they had odd colors and Papaya was the only decent looking one. It's misleading because sometimes glosses that look brightly colored in the tube are actually quite sheer on; this is not the case with Papaya. It looks clownish with my fair skin unless I mix it with chapstick or a clear gloss to tone it down, and I hate having to mix and match lip-stuffs (I'm pretty lazy). There is no way you can put this gloss on without a mirror, either. I'll use it up this summer but wouldn't buy this again. The packaging is gorgeous though.

Eye Primer -NYX - Eyeshadow Base in Pearl
rated 3 of 5
RedHotPants 6/1/2011 1:40:00 AM

This primer definitely gives my matte eye shadows a shimmery, pearlized effect; it might scare you off from everyday use, but the look is subtle and actually pretty flattering. It also works well as a highlight and lightener to dark areas around the eyes. I always have short nails and I actually like to apply primer with my fingertips so I have no complaints on the packaging, and the price is definitely right. I'd repurchase this and would like to try a non-pearlized primer from NYX to see how it stacks up to this stuff.

Eye Shadow -Kiko Cosmetics - Highly Pigmented Eye Shadow
rated 4 of 5
RedHotPants 6/1/2011 1:32:00 AM

Ahh, I wish Kiko was available here! This eyeshadow is incredible. I got it in shade #129, this gorgeous sandy-shimmery-glittery color. I typically don't wear glitter, especially to work, but this is my go-to shadow for everyday wear because it gives me eyes a glow while appearing almost nude. The formula is incredible, it goes on smooth, doesn't crease, and even by the end of the day I don't have glitter flakes on my cheekbones...this shadow stays put! The price is amazing too. I can't believe I can't find this stuff online to have it shipped to me...if anyone has any suggestions on how to get my hands on some more of this stuff I would love to hear it!

Polishes -OPI - Vodka & Caviar
rated 5 of 5
RedHotPants 5/24/2011 8:07:00 PM

BEST RED! Everyone loves red nails, and this is by far the best red I personally have ever tried. Goes on thick-- I've noticed some of OPI's polishes are getting more cheap and sheer. Not this stuff. Two coats and I'm set. I've had this on my toes for three weeks, and that includes a week abroad walking around for miles in sandals and going to the beach. Not a chip, and still shiny as the first day I did my nails. Love it. Please let this one stick around!

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Tipsy
rated 3 of 5
RedHotPants 5/24/2011 8:03:00 PM

I first bought this for a friend as a gift, and she couldn't stop raving about it, so I decided to shell out the cash and try the full size. I wouldn't say I was under- or overwhelmed by this product, just whelmed. I like the way it goes on; I apply a generous amount to the apples of my cheeks and blend it out with an old kabuki brush (that I dedicated only to the cheek stain, because it's gel and pretty much ruins the brush). It's kind of sticky but I like to apply either a matching shade of powder blush or a light bronzer over the top of the cheek stain; it sets the stain and makes it longer lasting. Tipsy is a fairly light and sheer color and despite my light skin I think I am actually too dark for it. Overall this is a good product but I would like to try different shades in the future to find my perfect match. Moral of the story: get a sample size first.

Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir
rated 1 of 5
RedHotPants 5/24/2011 7:54:00 PM

After reading all the MUA reviews about this product, I WANTED to love it. I am skin-obsessed and am always looking for something new. This was NOT it. After one use, I had red bumps all over my face. Very unattractive. I thought to myself, maybe this is one of those things where it has to get worse before it can get better. So I kept at it for a few more nights. More red bumps. I had to baby my skin for a week and half to fix it. When it finally all cleared up, I thought, maybe I'll try it one more time, just on my nose, since the skin isn't so sensitive there. Mistake! I woke up to find an angry red mountain range had sprouted up overnight. I'm glad other people have had success with this, but my bottle will be headed for the trash can.

Bronzers -LORAC - TANtalizer Body Bronzing Luminizer
rated 4 of 5
RedHotPants 5/12/2011 6:47:00 PM

Gorgeousssssss! Love me some TANtalizer. Definitely amps up my Casper-ish skin a few notches...I mostly use it on my legs but I have also started to add a teeeeny tiny drop to my moisturizer to give my face a little glow too, and it works magically. (I say teeny because I told my friend this little secret, and she added too much and it came out looking like dirt on her face. So, proceed with caution.) I was a little worried because I have very sensitive skin, especially when it comes to things with scents. Which, by the way, this stuff smells HEAVENLY. The nice thing is, you can apply body lotion before this stuff and it still applies evenly, so you can get moisturized skin and tan skin all at the same time. Can't say enough good things about this product, except if Lorac could knock a couple bucks off the price that'd be nice...

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Bronzer Brush
rated 5 of 5
RedHotPants 5/12/2011 6:41:00 PM

I bought this brush because of all the rave reviews I read on MUA. And the cards don't lie-- this brush is the bomb! As soon as I opened it and felt how soft it was, I was in love. Then I cracked open a new bronzer, and between the new bronzer and the new brush I was in heaven. I love how dense this brush is, it picks up a lot of pigment and distributes it evenly. My favorite thing? No powder-y look on my skin; it made my makeup apply better and look better. Wowzers.
