Conditioner -Dove - Intense damage therapy - with serum

Awesome conditioner. Performs what it promises. No question. Compared with most everything else, from trendy salon products, through to drugstore offerings, very little surpasses this brilliant product. On my fine, fried, highlighted and broken blond hair, this was smoothing, softening and silkening. Terrific product!.
Thankfully, I didn't sting myself for the full-sized version of this highly offensive product. Had been using Kerastase, prior, which is hands-down a dream, by comparison-even if Biolage is quite a bit cheaper. This is a remarkably unexceptional shampoo. Oh, it lathered, and then promptly rinsed out by breaking successive strand after strand of my hair!. Hydrating?. No!. Buy again? No. Never.
Hideous. Ghastly. Truly. Such a bad reaction to this 'gloop' that I needed serious and instantaneous medical intervention. My skin blew up like a bloated blow-fish immediately after a moderate application of this so-called 'primer'. 'Crimer' more likely!. Cheap AND nasty!. Erg.

Excellent d/s find. Effectively tamed my frizzy, fried, highly colored/highlighted long blond hair, without weighing it down. Inoffensive scent-a change from the sour alcohol stench of similar d/s styling products. Will def be repurchasing
This came as a GWP, Christmas, 2008. This is very pretty, and deceptively so-applies less golden-glittery than it appears in the tube. The scent/flavor may not be everyone's 'cup of tea' because this is definitely Jasmine Tea. It shouldn't detract from the lovely shimmer, but it's just overpowering. Would not purchase in full-sized version-sorry.
This was my first ever RIS item on MUA, and it has been great to have. Hydrating without being overly oily. Light scent and texture. Not remarkable-not infinitely bad, either. Strangely, this makes my face red and feel hot whenever I apply it. No idea why. Not uncomfortable. Just weird.

Without a doubt, something that you invariably want to have a tube of to have at hand, and in your kit (regardless of skin-type/condition, you're unlikely to regret this "basic" and even at .99c a tube at the drugstore, who can't afford to?). It seems fairly unremarkable, but considering that it does what it says...this is a well-worthwhile find, in all climatic conditions, too. Non-greasy and unobtrusive. Sweet!.
My review is actually for the Chroma Riche variant: Luminous Softening Treatment Masque. True to its descriptive, this is a superior softening and smoothing treatment. I used this as a consecutive pre-treatment, prior to coloring my hair with Revlon's Frost and Glow highlighting kit. Has a mild rose scent that easily dissipates. Rinses clean, clear and beautifully. No oily build-up nor residue three days after use. Once a week, this is bliss, and reconditions really well. My only woe is the price!.
My one constant standby, go-to, whenever my skin is bothering me (breakouts, medication changes, stress). Again and again, I keep going back to this product for its comforting, softening and re-surfacing, unclogging properties. Initially, I used this whole line, but my skin changed after having a baby, and the other products in this range weren't quite as effective anymore. Except for this one. Lightly scented, non-stinging and really effective. Slightly expensive, but a full-sized bottle lasts me for over 12 months, so, I'm not complaining. Def repurchase!
(My review here is for the endless creme concealer, in Shade 204, Cream). A fantastic concealer that blends beautifully and flawlessly. Works even better when applied with a brush-which will cover my blemishes, if I'm patient with blending. Color match looks orange when initially swiped on the back of my hand, but the color evens out perfectly when applied to my very fair, pale, ivory complexion. Good lasting power, too. My one gripe is with the packaging-the product leaks out around the thread of the cap (very annoying) and the cap doesn't seem to close right. Pity, because otherwise the packaging is sleek and stylish, with that classic CK look. Slightly expensive, but I'm now wearing this in place of full-faced foundation because it's so excellent, and the texture is ....just heavenly. Hands-down an HG for me!.
Hair Color -Revlon - Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit

Honestly heart-stopping highlights!!. For reference, I'd recently colored my hair Dark Ash Blond with L'Oreal Preference, but it was a little too 'blah' and I really, really yearned for sun-kissed platinum highlights. Like so many other reviewers, as a natural dark blond, I've been continually disappointed with coloring results-too brassy, too orange, too ginger...Anyway, the cap and plastic hook are not the monsters made out as such by others, either. Just takes paying attention to detail and some patience, and I managed this fairly fuss-free on my own (although I only opted for sides and face framing, and no back strands). I also skipped on the strand test. I've gotta stress, you must, must go through the whole process, and if using the lightest color selection, you really should leave it on for the whole 60 minutes, and then let it dry for optimal results. I initially freaked out when I saw my hair turning orange after I got out of the shower after rinsing and conditioning. But, following a quick blow-dry, everything blended just beautifully!. This highlighting pack can be slightly drying, but I used two consecutive treatments of Kerastase Chroma Rich Luminous Softening Treatment Mask beforehand, and I think it helped eliminate breakage, drying and other possible hair damage. Excellent find!. Use, rinse, repeat, repeat!. No more tacky, costly and bothersome salon highlighting for me!.
Styling Products -Pantene - detangling (light conditioning mist)

I had low expectations of this product, because, in general, I've found that most Pantene hair products [shampoo/conditioner/stylers] to be extremely drying, and not worthy of the P&G advertising hype. Initially, this spray confirmed my suspicions, but after a week's worth of use, this spray really came into its own. I prefer it because I don't like overly styling my hair, and conventional aerosol hairsprays trigger my asthma. This basically does what it says with a minimum of fuss, at a fair price. Can't ask much more of that from a drugstore product. Also works on my daughter's unruly mop, freeing it of tugs and tangles.
I purchased this in a New Zealand Winter, in an upscale department store, and it was stunningly expensive. Pity, because I like to support Australasian brands. Anyway, this looks quite sheer, yet applies surprisingly matte. Takes quite a bit of blending. Lasts well. Pleasant, but not overpowering lavender scent. Would not repurchase, because I can't see myself going through a whole container anytime soon. Can't imagine using it on my lips, but, I might, at a pinch. A fair product, but too pricey for what it is.
Another great standby, that I've kept in my kit bag fairly constantly. I don't mind the fragrance, which is slightly medicinal. However, as some reviewers have also mentioned, it can tend to highlight my dry patches, and can photograph slightly, slightly yellowish/orange in some lights. That said, it's reliable for touch-ups. Oh, and the compact is durable, and able to be dropped pretty risk-free. Makes it portable and an affordable, reliable alternative to high-end brands.
For reference, I've used this on and off, since 1993, back when it came in a squeeze tube. I now alternate between this and another Lancome cleanser, depending on what my needs are, day by day. This is a great cleanser. Lovely texture, light scent, not overly foamy. I tend to use it on days when I'm not wearing so much make-up, but just need a basic cleanse. To my mind, this is also a great value for money purchase, as a little goes a long way. Three pumps is plenty for me, per use. Will be re-purchasing-in another year, when this one runs dry. Good stuff ! .
