I love this stuff! I do think there is somewhat of a similarity to Pink Sugar but they aren't the same. I actually dislike Pink Sugar but I like this a lot. They are both very sweet but I find Marshmallow fresher, milder, simpler, and not spicy. The packaging is simple but functional. If you like sweet scents, I recommend you try this. I plan to repurchase when my bottle runs out.
Skincare - Face -Skinn Cosmetics - Olive and Enzyme Rich Balm Cleanser
Radchickee 12/19/2012 7:06:00 PM
This is a creamy non-lathering cleanser. It smells just like an orange creamsicle. Although it feels rich, I don't think it removes all my makeup. It works well in the winter because my skin just dries up, and this doesn't dry out skin. I think it would be too rich for warmer weather unless you have consistently dry skin. I don't think I'd repurchase because it has a very strong smell, and I feel like I need to use it twice sometimes to remove all my makeup.
This mascara is spidery, irritating, overpriced, and not black enough. Plus, it will not come off, no matter how much makeup remover you use. This makes my eyes red and irritated, and they feel like they're burning. It also looks sort of grey, not a true deep black. The before-and-after picture on the packaging - false advertising as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't work well at all. No way would I repurchase.
I'm generally on the fence about these Stila glosses. I do think they are a bit too sticky but otherwise, they are long lasting and the colors tend to be wearable. This one looks purplish in the tube but applies differently. It is actually a medium to deep pinkish lip shade, quite sheer and very wearable. I like the brush applicator too because there is very little product wasted, and no spillage or leaking in your makeup bag.
Sunscreen -Shiseido - Ultra Sun Protection Cream Spf 50
Radchickee 12/4/2012 10:53:00 AM
I'm on the fence about this one. It is a bit thicker than I prefer, but it is winter right now and the air is very dry so my dried out skin drinks this up. I don't think this would be as suitable for daily wear on the face in the summer. For a day at the beach, maybe, but not for daily use. I think I'd find it too thick. I do like the high SPF rating, and I love the pretty scent. I think its a bit too high priced for the what it does and how much you get, though. You can get a high SPF cream for a lot less. The packaging is opaque, which is a plus, but the tube doesn't stand up very well on its own, so if it tips over, the product tends to move away from the nozzle and because of the thick consistency, it doesn't flow back very well, which gets frustrating as the tube gets emptied. I think a better package design is needed for this one.
Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Lipgloss in Strawberry Fizz

A super shiny shimmery gloss with a pink tint and yummy smell. I like this a lot. Lasts a few hours before it starts to lose its shine and doesn't dry out my lips. I'd repurchase.
A deep, rich, highly pigmented shadow. Strikes the perfect balance between warm and cool tones. I've used this shade for years and I hope it's always around.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Quad - Emerald Isle
Radchickee 11/21/2012 5:31:00 PM
I like the combo of colors in this quad. The shades of green blend together seamlessly, with no stripes. This gives an overall smokey green look. Even the brightest green shade isn't too garish when you put it on. The pigmentation is medium, and not as deep as you might think from looking at the package, but still deep enough to give a smokey green eye. I dislike the packaging because its rounded at the top, so this doesn't stack well. I don't know why companies think its a good idea to make rounded tops. The lid also feels a bit cheap.
Polishes -Maybelline - Color Show in Downtown Brown
Radchickee 11/21/2012 5:22:00 PM
A two-toned polish, mostly brown, with a green shimmer that shows up when you hold your nails to the light a certain way. I think this is the nail color equivalent of Mac Club. It reminds me of chocolate mint actually, because of the brown and green combo. This looks good with two coats. I used three, and the color is quite deep and opaque. Lasts a pretty long time too. I got about three days wear before it started to show slight wearing away on the edges of two nails. Not bad for such a dark color. This was about $10, so a bit more expensive than a cheapie drugstore polish, but a nice unusual shade.
Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Balmshell Lipgloss in Darling You Look Fabulous
Radchickee 11/16/2012 11:46:00 AM
I love these glosses. They are shiny, not too sticky, and have good wear. All the colors have a sheerness to them, no matter how bright and scary they look in the tube. This color looks like a vivid shocking warm pink in the tube, but when you apply, it is sheer enough to add some color but still let your natural lip color come through. Love the packaging too!
I loved the deep iridescent color in the bottle so I had to buy it. I was a bit disappointed when I used it. The color is a lot more sheer than I was expecting, so I had to use three coats to even get close to the color in the bottle. The color is hard to describe. I'd say its gold, green, and plum, but not quite what it looks like in the bottle.
Hair Color -Clairol - Natural Instincts Rich Color Creme in #31 Coffee Creme
Radchickee 11/11/2012 11:33:00 PM
A deep brown, but not quite black. Works like most other hair colors, so not much difference in usage, but it doesn't smell bad, and works quickly. My hair came out soft and conditioned and the exact color I wanted. There is a color treatment pack that you're supposed to use after two weeks to deposit pigments back into the hair. In my case, the color still looked good after two weeks, except for the greys, which always fade more quickly, so I used it. I'd say it deposits some pigments back, but its not like colouring your hair again. The grey strands became more like highlights. I will buy this again for sure.
I'm disappointed in this shadow, especially considering all the hype over mineral shadows. It's too sheer and not pigmented enough to justify the price. I tried to use it wet to get a deeper saturation of color but it made no difference. The color that I did get to show up faded after a few hours anyway and I had to keep touching up. I'm also disappointed in the packaging. The tester shadow was encased in a substantially thick lucite container, but the actual product comes in a thin flimsy plastic container with a thin flip top. If you like a sheer coverage, you may like this but you can probably find something comparable at the drugstore.
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Plumping 6 Hour Lipgloss
Radchickee 11/7/2012 10:39:00 PM
This gloss is a bit sticky at first but gives deep color that lasts quite a bit longer than the average gloss. It's not the shiniest gloss, and ends up looking more like a lipstick when some of the shine fades, but doesn't dry out your lips even after all day wear. I'm pretty amazed at the lasting power actually. I like the squared off shape of the tube because it doesn't roll off the counter but I really dislike the applicator. It's very large and bends too easily, so a bit awkward to use.
I'm on the fence with this concealer. The coverage is pretty good but not as good as they show on TV. I use it on my dark under eye circles, which aren't even that bad, but this concealer doesn't entirely get rid of them. The best results for me are when I layer the coverage but I still don't get the truly opaque coverage they claim this concealer gives. I also have found that the product develops little crumbles in it over time. I'm not sure if I would repurchase. Probably not. I'm still searching for my perfect concealer.
